Mrs G, thinking of you at this stressful time. Hopefully things get better for you xxx
Not much happening here Christmas wise....... I did sell 3 items on ebay which the money will be put into my Christmas saving tin though lol.
I'm still de-cluttering away here, kids still off school but are happy enough playing away with their toys thankfully. Santa done well this year lol. Plus we've had dry weather so they are enjoying being out in the garden, even if it is cold.
I've been reading other threads on here and I'm seriously questioning myself and how I live ATM lol. One thread about how often you wash your sheets etc is both embarrassing and scaring me:eek::o
There is so much I want to say on the thread but scared of what will be thought of me lol.
I just keep telling myself We're a clean family and don't live in a tip lol:rotfl:Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

MRSSAVE i hope the dentist wasnt too painful for you
KIWI well done with the decluttering
MSGIGGLEWICK ah that will be lovely having a couple of days with DH and at easter having some family days out, its nice to just get away from everything and clear your head
PINKNFLUFFY hope you are having a lovely week away

Morning all
Freespirit, you are wonderful for doing so much at short notice, I hope the cake sale goes well and you make lots of money for a very good cause.
Thank you for the suggestions ruthHoney, I ended up going to a little independent cobblers/ shoe shop in our town. I got a lovely leather one there and didn't have the hassle of a bus to the city or having to drag DH in at the weekend and then paying parking on top. Since we got a Tesc0 a few years ago our main shopping road as dwindled down to basically hairdressers tattoo parlours and fast food shops. The lovely lady in the shoe shop was almost incandescent with anger as telco have just put a little portacabin in their carpark doing dry cleaning engraving and shoe repairs. The only remaining original shops on the road are a dry cleaners, her shoe repair shop, a card shop and the jewellers who went into engraving and trophy selling a couple of years ago as jewellery just wasn't profitable round here anymore . I felt really sorry for her and did go in the little card shop on my way home and bought a load of cards I needed there rather than tesc0. I do prefer to shop local and indie when I can.
Did a bit of organising yesterday, finally got round to replying to an invite I got to a surprise 50th for a work friend, texted step mum and arranged we will visit them on Friday, need to see a neighbour to accept her kind 60th birthday invite and I managed to get quite a bit done on the retirement cross stitch as well so all in all not a bad day.
Hugs and good wishes to all who need them and I do hope the poorlies start getting some improvement soon.SPC~12 ot 124

Morning, Mrs G l hope they diagnose your mum pdq, and that it is nothing serious. Enjoy the time with your DH hope the weather is kind to you.
Freespirit, you are an ace mum, with an ace family, but l do agree, it is always last minute with kids. hope the back pain goes away soon.
Irish rose don't go on those scary pages. Why would anyone want to know how often other people change the sheets?
Kiwi13 well done on the decluttering go you!!
Well all my plans for the week (plans? what plans? do l DO plans?)
are well and truly scuppered, as l have shingles, now. GRRRR
diagnosed on Tuesday, so well into the treatment, just need patience and mitts to stop me scratching the itches.
DSIL has got a date for his PET ct scan, it is next Tuesday, and the hospital is a 2and ahalf hour drive away. DD can't drive that far, Fave coz is still recovering from shoulder surgery so she cant do it, DSIL doesn't drive, so it looks like l will have to step up to the mark, hope this pain has gone by then. as it is really important that he has this scan and this is the closest to us that has the equipment.
l have managed to buy 3 more presents just little ones for the stockings, a glovebox kit for DS2 a hello kitty hair kit for DGD and a farting football for DGS2.0 -
MrsG sorry to hear about your mum must have been very scary for you all. my condolences on your dog passing. Good to hear dh has some time off soon quality family time often gets sidetracked by everyday life. Could I get a link to your fb page please
JJ sorry to hear your still suffering with your leg hope your enjoying your extended stay otherwise
Irishrose Florida holidays are such a minefield so much choice but you'll have an amazing time whatvever you decide. we have stayed onsite before as with free dining there wasn't much difference in price compared to offsite once you consider food costs parking ect but packages can be alot more expensive depending on your group size. I know virgin also fly from dublin now but they are often more expensive than anyone else worth keeping an eye open for offers though.
MrsI hope your feeling better soon shingles can be so painful. shocking that you need to travel so far for a hospital appointment
Freespirit hope the charity do was a success
If you can find any asda had some Kinder style eggs at 85p for a 3pk all 3 contain frozen themed toys we've had olaf/sven/kristof charms plus troll, anna, olaf figures
had a super busy wk & everyones been ill again so cheated and got the sains meal deal for our chinese new yr so still failing on the cook more new meals plan but at least I didn't just get a take away.this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Evening everyone, i managed to wake up at 6am this morning haha and all were ready and iced for him to take to work, i was disappointed with my scones though they didnt rise very much i think i made them too thin, i expected DS to come home with them but they all got eaten  DS organised it, it was a group of people from his work who did arts and crafts with the old people in the morning and then provided an afternoon tea in the afternoon, he said they absolutely loved it, bless em
FEISTY haha thankyou, i wish i was :rotfl:
MRSMONEYPENNY oh MRSM i really am not compared to the lovely things you do for everyone, it is such a shame our high streets are disappearing, i do really feel sorry for the small businesses that end up having to close down
MRSINVISIBLE aww thankyou, i am so sorry you have shingles and hope you arent in too much pain, do you think it is because of the worry about DSIL that has brought it on? You too are wonderful for the amount you do for other people and offering to drive is very kind of you, and one less worry for DSIL
MANDCO thankyou, sorry everyone is not well again, i dont blame you for going for a meal deal, some nights even thinking about what to have for dinner let alone cooking it is too much#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Thanks ChrissyG I've been waiting patiently for this to get here as it applies the other way round for us. I can get some of my OHs transferred to me - every bit goes towards getting rid of the bills/debts.
sorry only a quick one today got tons to do and there just isn't enough hours in a day. hugs to all hope everyone is ok and battling on.

morning people... i'm knee high in mud lol took our dog down to the country park ... got her microchipped by the dogs trust while we were down there... 2 and a half hours later we get back home.. then i remember i needed to go shopping so back out i went lol. Good job i don't live far from the shops isn't it.
I've nearly finished setting up my etsy shop.. got to sort out a diff email address as the etsy login i used is an email address i hardly use. Once dh has sorted the ones that go with my website out i can open the store and that will be another job jobbed.
I haven't knitted in ages and i knitted a lil mascot of my new hobby the other day, posted it on one of the craft groups and one of the company executives is using it in one of his presentations today after i asked if i could sell the pattern or project (had over a 1000 likes in less than 24hours.. theres noway i could knit that many lol) be interesting to see what gets said.
Nothing xmas wise going on this week... Mum has been diagnosed with meniere's disease.. hoping medicines hit in atm... she's an audio typist so not being able to hear will affect her being able to work. So glad it isn't something more serious and she can live with it even though it is quite debilitating.
onwards and upwards huhTotally debt free wohooo 2014
