    Morning!

Mrs G, I'm sorry to hear about your mum. Fingers crossed everything turns out well. Also sorry about your dog - pets definitely become a part of us. I hope things get better for you very soon.
Jj I hope you are better soon.

Thanks for the welcome. I actually picked up some Christmas gift tags yesterday (because the 20 million I already have just won't be enough!!! :rotfl: ). They had packs for 10p in the clearance section in tesco of nice big ones!

It's hubby's birthday at the beginning of March, sorted him yesterday! I went a couple of pounds offer budget, but it's unusual to know what he actually wants so I'll lies with that ;) .

Also found an Easter book for my niece yesterday. She's only 18 months so not buying any chocolate. It was £1.99 on Amazon, but had to pay delivery as under £10. Looked on waterstones and it was £2.99 but free store delivery. Worked out cheaper overall. When I went to pay I found I had over £1 on my waterstones card so it's worked out cheaper than amazon! :money:

Nephew's birthday party this afternoon. He asked for a DVD that was only released on Monday so had to pay full price.......doesn't happen often!! First things first, though.......dentist this morning  I'm just recovering from sinusitis so this will hurt!

I hope you all have a lovely day x

February isn't turning out to be any kinder to me and my family either..

I'm so sorry to hear that things aren't easing up for you and your family. Its not very nice when it seems to keep piling on just one thing after another. Very easy to say and not at all easy to do but try to look at the positives - your Mum's scan being clear and her being allowed home can only be a good thing. The wee fluffy won't be suffering anymore (I had to do the same with my wee dog early December and it's heartbreaking but when its for the right reasons you knows its best) and you all did what you could to help. I hope your brother gets the help he needs with his depression - such a difficult thing when you feel you cannot help.

mrs-moneypenny thanks for heads up about valentines stuff - shall have a look if i get out there before its all snatched up

Hope everyone isn't too stuffed with pancakes after yesterday. Personally I don't like them and it would seem neither does munchkin and hubby was happy with store bought so I'm afraid we cheated a little. maybe be better prepared next year.

I was inspired by the decluttering talk on here and over the weekend I managed to get rid of a box to charity shop, huge black bag full of rubbish, half a black bag of recyclables and about a third of a bag ready for cash for clothes. Not too bad for a self confessed hoarder. Also have a few things that I may try to sell on f*c*b**k and if they dont go then will charity shop them.

Lovely idea! My brother is called Glynn. Never seen anyone else with the same name and spelling. I think it's welsh?
I believe so - not sure if you know but in Northern Ireland there is a little town up the County Antrim coast called Glynn. So you must tell him if he is ever over to go visit. :)

Hugs to all that need them and well wishes to anyone not feeling their best.

  • Thank you all. dh has booked next weekend off work for a long weekend.. means we get friday and the monday to just him and me. We're going to go out for lunch and touch wood the weather is nice go for some nice long walks to talk things over and destress time.. and he's actually booked the first week of the easter holidays off(very rare for him to want/book time off when the girls are all home lol) but he suggested we need some days out as a family too. Funny how sad news makes you look at your life isn't it. Sad but it does.

I'm slowly trying to add things to my page.. slow and steady i guess. I can't put as much time as i originally planned to with everything going on so not going to be too hard on myself just yet. Its up and running is all that counts.

Kiwi-I didn't know that. I'll let him know. Thank you! :)

  • MrsG - sorry to hear about your mum x

Managed to find a brantano today & get dd2 new school shoes. It happened to be right next to a big b&m, so I may have picked up a few craft kits to use as Xmas gifts for my nephews & niece! That's 3 more crossed off the Xmas list, and for the grand total of £11.98!

Tonights holiday cottage movie (as chosen by dd1) is the Santa Claus :-)
