Thanks, my gran is definitely on the mend again now :)

What's even more annoying was her reply to my I'm cancelling the transaction message "well my grandad just died".. if that were true surely you'd be a bit more empathetic... if it is true it's awful, but I mentioned it on an Avon page on FB and a couple replied saying they had had bad dealings with the same buyer, her being rude was actually lucky for me the other people had sent the item then she told ebay they had sent an empty box... Silver linings...

KiWi13 - so glad I'm not the only one! I thought I was being pretty good a couple of years ago and all the bits of paper and cards I'd kept I hole punched and filed away in 4 large ring binders. But why am I keeping old cards?! Yet still I can't bring myself to throw them. Ahh.
I love you and your friends exchanging of made gifts. The scrabble family tree is lovely! One of my friends suggested making secret santa a handmade affair last year but half the group pooped on our parade. Said some of us were too arty and others too far from it. :( Was my idea of heaven! lol.

mrsinvisible - who needs handwriting anyway ;) I've heard really old fashioned techniques can sometimes help, like trying to learn calligraphy, picturing letters as a picture to draw instead of as writing... I don't know if there is any truth in it. But then I am the girl who used to write without spaces between my words..... My teachers loved marking my work ;) haha. Plus how often do we actually write now anyway... I was at a training seminar the other week, my hand hurt after about 5mins its that long since I wrote anything of any length by hand :/

freespirit66 - you'll be proud of me... a whole 6 books have made it into my to go pile! Ok... 6 books I was given by my godmothers mum and have no interest in but its 6 books off my bookcase.... and just another 340 to go..... (and I'm definitely not counting the harry potter in that!! :P)

The more I look at how much stuff I have the more over whelming it is :(

just a quick one as saw these and thought they may be useful if anyone doing hampers http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2399403.htm

:o! I love them! and they are in stock at one near me! :D
My rooms been browns and creams for a few years now but slowly all my bed linen has ended up shades of grey (bought that way was just what appealed not dodgy washing!! haha!). So maybe Grey should be my next colour.... would go with my new desk too super industrial feel to it, wooden trestle legs, and a stainless steel top... I'm thinking grey with pops of colour...
Can you tell I'm talking myself into buying them... lol

Excuse me for filling up the page...

MrsInvisible, really hoping for good news from DSIL's biopsy - it must be such a horrible time for him and DD and for everyone who cares about them too.

MrsG, love the jars. How many packs of eggs did it take to fill each one and did you use the well known brand? Could do something similar for the older grandchildren but it would work out a bit expensive if there are quite a few packs. Do you know of any cheaper makes that are still nice?

Kiwi, the scrabble pic is lovely and I think it's a fab idea to exchange 'made' pressies. Unfortunately I'm the only one I know who likes making things lol.

Freespirit, I was up til silly o'clock last night reading the Konmarie thread and was really enthused to give it a go. Then I realised that I actually don't have any clutter because I'm a fairly compulsive de-clutterer and I don't really own enough t-shirts to make it worth storing vertically lol. Enjoyed the youtube videos though.

Well, it's official. DH and I are old and unromantic. Rather than enjoying a cosy Valentines meal for two tomorrow night we're babysitting for DD so she and her DH can go out for a romantic meal instead lol.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • peppapig... i was savvy and used the wilkinsons pick n mix cause its on half price atm lol so two giant pots filled each one.. a lil more of the jelly beans. so about £4 to fill each one atm. (they taste just the same as the brand you are on about ;) )

I'm hoping they do the offer over easter so i can do my brother one for his bday and i might make my older girls one too instead of easter eggs but we'll see.
