  • Re Playdoh - I was in Tesco just this morning and they had some playdoh sets reduced. Not sure if its nationwide, or just ours had some sale stock left. Mine are a bit old for it so I didnt really take much notice of which sets/prices, sorry.

If anyone happens across any littlest pet shop bargains, please shout up. DD2 got a couple of figures for xmas and has decided she wants to collect them :-)
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • Thanks for all the Chicken <3 I'll be sure to pass it on to them ;) they are such little characters. Benedict has no control at all, Fried is a feisty little thing and tells him whats what lol. They are so funny.

I went and bought myself a desk on ebay today, off to fetch it tomorrow, but have realised this means I need to find a floor in my room for it to stand on... more than that I need to have a complete furniture reshuffle... and to buy a chair... :/

Oh no JJ wishing you a swift recovery!

freespirit66 - just been googling KonMari sounds like something I need in my life to get this desk fitting! Though this idea of books going, is pure nonsense I could never part with a book..... I'm a hoarder who dreams of being minimalist... sigh... one day... Sometimes I wish it was possible to just get rid of everything and start again from scratch with an empty room.

Evening everyone, oh this Kon Mari decluttering thing is getting addictive i havent even bought the book yet just reading different things about it and the 'hold your items and ask yourself do they bring you joy' is amazing! i am decluttering like mad because i think actually no it doesnt, so off it goes :rotfl::rotfl:

    I've ordered the book.

But getting my tips from this thread in the meantime:

I'm still on stage one at the moment - my clothes. But took 7 full black bin bags to the cash for clothes place last week and got £14. Not much, but still better than a kick in the teeth. I've got a few more drawers of clothing to do, then I'll be moving onto my books.

Glad to hear that the method is working for you too freespirit.

Pity we didn't know about KM sooner :D

I like reading that thread - I feel motivated to Kondo every time I do.

Have you samosaed your carrier bags yet?

I have no idea where the clothes go - I've not asked, but have always presumed that they get sold on either in the eastern block countries or Africa.

Our cash for clothes place pays 50p a kilogram, which I think is a national rate.

p.s. tell Nanamia we say hello.
