  • mrsmoneypenny keep going with the edging! You'll get there! You'll get a real sense of achievement once you've finished.

carlislelass go you! That's very organised of you and will make for a stress free Christmas!

freespirit oh no I hope it doesn't linger around and that you feel better soon. Plenty of rest and liquids as my mum would say! ;) DS always hated his car seat and screamed when we put him in it, then one day he just stopped and is now quite happy in there.

msgigglewick glad DD is feeling better. I hope you find some ideas for the mini eggs and jelly beans, have you tried Pinterest for inspiration?

junior so sorry to hear about your accident, I hope it doesn't take you too long to recover. x

I made the mini chocolate croissants yesterday and popped them in the freezer. I hadn't planned to make them yesterday but I was making some chicken pot pies so thought i'd make them whilst the pastry was out. Will try some with a coffee at the weekend!

freespirit66 - :o! Shocking behavior that... especially harry potter :o!!! I have 2 copies of every book and DVD... I even got tempted to pay £40 for one of the early book 1's because it was one of those with the other wizard on the back not dumbledore... one day I will have one...

The clothes from cash for clothes go to Europe to be resold in charity shops. That's why school uniforms aren't accepted :)

I have just lost my rag with someone on ebay. Had sold a foundation which was in the wrong colour. Sold it last Wed, sent them a message Monday apologising for not having it posted yet, my grandmother has taken ill so been a bit delayed in getting things done very sorry, will get it posted by end of the week for them.

they replied "Bought a week ago, terrible service"

So I cancelled the transaction and replied with "Most ebay sellers are normal people with lives to lead not businesses who have someone else to take over. Very sorry that my grandmother being on deaths door *(Before anyone gets worried she's just had another water infection but they don't need to know it wasn't something worse! haha)*was an inconvenience to you. I have no interest in taking money from such an appalling person so have cancelled the transaction and refunded you."

HMMPH! Though plus... just found an additional £24 I didn't know about in my paypal account.....
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....

this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

  • Good morning, have been AWOL, but still reading, didn't post tho, as chez invis is full of grief and worry. DDs DH has his lung biopsy today, but his consultation with the specialist was not a joyful one.
Our visit to DGS school to discuss his handwriting issues was very reassuring, and the lady in learning support has said that if we don't get the improvement we hope for she will suggest that he can do his written stuff on a net book.
JJ what are you like? hope the injury is healing and you don't feel too bad. A longer time in Scotland with your goddaughters is the silver lining.
    Hugs to everyone, xxx
  • pixtotts some people are just really intolerant, it's such a shame that they obviously have no sympathy at all. I hope your grandmother feels better soon.

kiwi I don't know about others but I always use Photobucket (www.photobucket.com). You upload a picture, then on the right hand side there is something called 'Share links' with four links set out below. If you click on the 'IMG' link it will then say 'copied' in the box and then you can paste it directly into your post. Does that make sense?! Feel free to ask any more questions if it sounds confusing. :)

3forholidays thanks for that article, I have given loads to charity over the years so it's interesting to see what happens to it.

Oh mrsinvisible it sounds like a worrying time there for you. Try to stay positive. I do hope the biopsy goes well today, I will be keeping everything crossed and sending lots of positive vibes. Good news for your DGS. x

This is exactly how I feel! every time I try to declutter I find a reason why not to throw stuff away. sentimental, memories or the favourite - I might need that someday. aaaahhhh

spring dreams - I might just go and have a wee read at this wonder woman's ideas incase it helps.

I am trying to think of what I could make my friend for her Christmas present this year. We have traded "made" presents for a few years now. The first year I made a 365 facts, puzzles and quotes in a jar present then last year i made her a scrabble tile family tree type thing in a frame (shall attempt to attach a photo)

    IMG0204A_zps56b431e7.jpg

which I will admit I was extremely proud of.
Thinking maybe for this year I could try something like the calendar board decoration I spotted in M*t*lan.

Junior J – Oh my word you have been in the wars – hope you recover quickly but at least you enjoy being where you are “stuck” this time

mrs invisible - positive vibes and hugs in your direction sounds like its not a great time at all - hope you all manage to get through it.
