IrishRose, sounds like you've got the whole Florida thing under control - I think you're being sensible with booking the package as you've never been there before. Lovely that your neighbours may be going too.
Freespirit, you totally deserve those baskets so don't give it another thought lol.
Feisty, twas me that asked about DH - so glad you're back posting and hope all goes well with DH and the pacemaker - they'll only do it if it's going to help so sending positive vibes your way. Good luck with the IVF too and hope you manage to stay strong with not researching it too much - sometimes we give ourselves more stress by having to know everything.
MrsI, your daughter sounds like a very level headed woman - I suspect she gets that from you. I'm sure she knows that she's got lots of support in you when she needs it though. Hats off to her choice of comfort food lol.
Well, we ended up not babysitting last night because at the last minute DD had stomach pains and started being sick so they missed their evening out. She was out with the little ones yesterday and didn't eat anything so rather than being wobbly by the evening she stopped and got a KFC and hot chocolate - and it all went downhill from there. Going over there this afternoon to occupy the little ones so she can get a shower and wash her hair. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Evening everyone,
MANDCO aw thankyou and you are right because that is exactly what i would say to someonebut in the grand scheme of things i know it feels huge to me but it is nothing to what other people are worrying about
Hope Taz is feeling better now
RUTHHONEY omg that is so funnygreat minds think alike eh?? I started the first one last night and was craving chocolate by chapter 3 haha
I saw that you got tickets to see her, oh you will have a fab time! Thankyou re: the baskets
FEISTY im glad DH is stable, and hope they decide whether a pacemaker is the way to go or not quickly, lots and lots of best wishes for the ivf and no dont google that is what i do and tbh i think too much info can be a dangerous thing, it makes you worry far more than you need to
MRSINVISIBLE thankyou re: the baskets, yes i think they will last a long timei deal with stress the way your DD does, a counsellor told me it was quite common, as the stress rises from the stomach area you eat food to push it back down again so you dont have to think about it, i hope you got out into the garden, my DS and i tackled the hedge out the front today hopefully it will look a lot tidier in the summer and be easier to maintain
IRISHROSE ah thankyou re the baskets, i love hearing about your holiday arrangements, takes me right back, you and the kids will love it out there it is such a magical fantastic place
PEPPAPIG thankyou to you also re the baskets, everyone will be thinking 'shut up about those bl**dy baskets' haha, oh your poor DD what a shame and awful timing, hope she is feeling much better now#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Hello!
It has taken me until half way through February to start planning for this Christmas! :rotfl: I've sat down this evening and budgeted for everything. It will be our second Christmas not using the credit card (after starting our money saving ways on 1/9/14) and I'd like this year to be more comfortable than last.
As I said, I've budgeted for everyone we buy gifts for (including the babies that we know will be joining us during the year - nephew/nieces, not me personally!!). I've already got one gift for my ds that I found reduced and a range of bits and pieces we picked up in the sales that I need to sort through and stick post it notes on them! I also picked up Christmas cards in the sale and still have loads of paper from the massive load I bought last year.
I don't think there's much else I can do at the moment, except keep my eyes open for bargainsStarting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -

ty for all the feedback on my fb page.... still working on how to get it out there and considering starting an etsy page but still debating that one.
February isn't turning out to be any kinder to me and my family either.. my mum was rushed into hospial sunday morning.. unresponsive for nearly 2 hours yet vital signs were normal.. she finally came round and didn't have a clue what was going on.. thankfully ct scan has come back all clear so nothing nasty in the brain going on. She's waiting for an appointment from a ent specialist as she has a ringing in the ears and is nearly deaf still.
She was allowed home as we are only 5 mins from the hospial (she lives around the corner from me) Then yesterday their darling lil dog had to be put to sleep.. he had had an operation on his leg which has failed and had developed ulcers in his eyes and 3rd eyelid and even after 2 weeks of treating the ulcers and 18 months on treating other eye conditions it was just getting worse.. poor lil mite looked so sad yesterday when i had gone over.. it was like he knew and just sat there when i said goodbye. It's not surprising my 20yr old brother is being treated with depression after everything going on. Can march be kinder to us please lol.
Half term this week and i'm taking 2 of the kids off to the dentist this afternoon (i would be the two who don't get along with each other wouldnt' it lol) then home to pancakes for those who can still eat hehe.Totally debt free wohooo 2014
