  • Afternoon everyone, phew what a weekend Thumper was taken back into hospital late Friday night and was only let home last night and then he had to go back today and now DD2 has been told probably tomorrow :( He does have pneumonia one of his lungs is full of infection and the other a little bit, he has had blood tests, antibiotic shots, chest x ray, all bruises on his hands and feet where they have had needles going into him, i actually cried when i went up to see him yesterday he looked so ill poor little thing. But he is beginning to turn the corner he actually wanted to eat this afternoon and his cheekiness is coming back :D Poor DD2 is shattered with the stress and worry of it all which is not what she needs with her health problems, gawd blimey we are a right lot! Good news yesterday i actually went to see the Coca Cola lorry, really enjoyed seeing it, i have never had the nerve before with crowds but we actually timed it so right, we were really lucky, so we had a Black Forest Hot Chocolate in Costa before heading to Aldi and Sains, where i was surprised they both werent heaving!! I have seen it busier on a normal saturday throughout the year, MURIE was it you that mentioned the irish coffee sets in Aldi, i managed to get some so thankyou! I have just made some Festive Flapjack and am now going to sit down and go through the christmas tv mag and circle my programmes (saddo that i am) but its one of my favourite things to do at christmas :D

WHITESATIN urggh! Its horrible when you are stuck with strangers like that, i hope your DH is better and glad you didnt catch it, oh that poor little girl in the hairdressers it made me want to wrap her in a blanket and cuddle her! Thankyou i think my ear is improving slightly now! How is DDs mastitis?

PINKNFLUFFY thankyou, haha i love you have to guess which one to hold back, i would always choose the wrong one, i dont know how the heck i manage it but nearly every year one of the kids open a present and i have to say ooh that isnt yours :rotfl:

MRSMONEYPENNY my DS workfriend and her partner are mad mad fans of Frank Turner the same as your DS, i had never heard of him so asked DD1 if she had heard of him and explained that you had been to see him and we listened to some of his songs on youtube, wow we really like him, DD1 particularly likes the tattoo song :rotfl:The stocking is absolutely gorgeous he is a very lucky little boy :)

04624181 thankyou, hope you are having fun with all your christmassy things

MANDCO oh thankyou for that information, the thing is DD2 is told different things by different drs and nurses and then gets mixed up with all the information so that is a great help, well done on the raffle wins, excellent that they can be gifted

    Stocking for DGS finally finished.

Caro emerald was really good last night

Hope all are well, had most of the kids round for dinner so it's been busy here today.
Hope all are as well as can be.
Dd3 bought the marriage box poem round for me so it's in the box now and I can get that wrapped and taken into work.

I really like Caro Emerald. Glad you enjoyed the concert.

Oooh, poor Thumper. Sending get well wishes to him.

Not sure if you'll be able to find Bernard and the Genie. It was on the bbc in the early 90s and I'm not sure if it's ever been repeated. I have emailed them about it! I have a copy from ebay, which isn't great quality and almost definitely not legal, but it's the only way I could get it. Maybe someone has put it on YouTube?

Spent a chunk of the afternoon writing out Christmas cards (for hubby's family & friends). Takes rather a lot of nagging to get him to do it with me. Now we have to do the food shopping list. Will make use of the one posted a few days back. That should help a lot.

And I'm feeling a lot better today, thanks. ;)

Hopefully your DD can get the real help she needs quickly x. Yes it was me about the irish coffee in aldi- be warned tho cus I have always found them to be very strong, lovely though! Your not alone- my DH loves circling his fave programmes in the tv mag. Its part of his Christmas routine too.

Sorry to hear poor wee Thumper has had such a rough time freespirit glad to hear he is turning the corner, fingers crossed he is back to himself before Christmas.

Today was the first day the weather has made me feel properly Christmassy, woke up to lovely white frost that didn't shift. Went up to visit the inlaws and see their new house. Then home for dinner and pudding. The kids are bathed and having an early night very soon. I plan to find another Christmas film to watch a long with my cuppa and eclair (I didn't have pudding ) I have planned.

    mrs-moneypenny - That stocking is gorgeous! :T

Free - So sorry to hear Thumper is still ill. :( Hope he's back to himself in no time xxx

Well I certainly lived up to my username last night. Was using my tablet in bed...and my hand must have slipped. Down it came and the top whacked me right across the nose! Blooming hurt too 'cause it got the boney part. Happily it seems normal today - no black eyes/bruises/nothing broken! Wasn't the first time I've dropped it on my face either... :rotfl:

    Hope everyone is well xx

  • Oh my goodness, I'm so behind on this thread!!

Had a great start to the weekend, I had my results for my second assignment and I had 80/100 which is. I passed my first assignment but because I ended up rushing it, I only passed with 55/100. I did my second assignment in plenty of time but wasn't feeling very confident about it so this has really boosted my confidence in regards to getting a good grade on the course.

Watching X factor now. I've had a busy weekend just getting the house clean & tidy, clearing some old furniture & other junk out to make space for what santa brings : )

For those who are ill or struggling with anything, I'm sending lots of hugs your way & hope things improve for all of you.

Free - Poor Thumper, sending him huge get well very soon virtual hugs.
So pleased you managed to see the cc truck, and enjoyed being out and about for a while. xx

Decided to hold back the Lego Dimensions game I got on offer a month or so ago. This gives me chance to get a few figure sets throughout next year,to go with it, and make it a much more exciting, and playable gift. Luckily, I unwrapped the right parcel first time!

MoneyMission congratulations on you assignment result - there will be no stopping you now :D

Hope your poor nose is soon better Clumsy.

Free, So sorry to hear poor little Thumper has had to go back into hospital but pleased he seems to be heading in the right direction now. Hope he's soon back to his usual self. Hope you've got over the shock of seeing him so poorly too.

Had a lovely day with DH's cousins today - was really nice to catch up as we usually only see them at weddings or funerals. Taking pressies down to family in Essex on Tuesday so stash under tree will be a bit depleted after that. Can't believe how quickly the days are passing now and I'm starting to panic that it will all be over before I know it. I've watched lots of Christmas films and listened to lots of festive music but I'm not ready for the big day to be here yet, I want to enjoy lots more build up.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
