Random question of the day !

Does anyone use a Jailbroken TV box ? according to what i have read for the cost of a box £30+ you can get almost all the Sky channels without subscription.

    UPDATE
    Apparently they are rubbish .

Did a bit of Christmas shopping this morning
Ds2 wanted to get his bro and sisters photos so I got some printed off from the cd we had done recently, got frames from wilkinsons and he can wrap them later.
Iceland have 12 mince pies for £1.50, really nice and a box of clementines for £3 had them last year and they were lovely sweet and juicy not tried this years.
Managed to get a couple of the giant carrier bag type gift bags, needed them as I've made mil cushions and got ds2 a new duvet!

Got an early Christmas pressie to look forward to tonight ds1 is treating me Dh and him to see caro emerald.

    Have a great weekend all.

Freespirit get well soon wishes for thumper poor little guy has really had a rough time lately. DD (all of you) must have been so worried its a scary thing having them rushed to hospital. They check the sats while they are sleeping to see if they are stable laying flat & shallower breathing while sleeping can sometimes cause them to drop again if they have a chest infection which in which case they would have kept him in. hope your ear problem clears up soon this yrs bugs def seem to be the lingering type.

3forholidays congrats on the win. I thought alot of people were overreacting to the xmas present article. I know when some kids will be getting nothing to be flaunting it like she has will upset some people but why does how many presents shes brought make her any different then a parent who spends thousands on their kids? yes the pile looks OTT but its quantity over quality £500 over 100 presents is a average of £5 a gift which unless you get some real bargains doesn't buy a lot really. If she'd spend £500 each on 1 gift would people have made such a big deal about it?

got 90% of my wrapping done :j this wk & nearly done present wise as won a couple of prizes in the school raffle which were ideal for gifts :D

Boots have selected sanctury xmas gifts at an additional 25% off this weekend aswell as 3 for 2. not advertised as such but shows on the product page

its coming round quickly now hopefully I'll get all the final bits sorted this wk before the kids break up then it'll just be the main food shop to do.

Hi everyone. Led on the sofa, groaning as I've eaten too much! Feels like Christmas Day come early...lol! Had a couple of friends over for a Hugge day. Ordered Chinese and watched a Christmas film (Bernard and the genie). Now I just want nod off for a while. :-)
My friend gave me a reindeer head towel! I've never seen a festive one, but I use them every week at the pool, so it's a fab idea. Some of her presents I let her open early as I'd bought her festive pjs and socks. Might as well wear them from now until the end of December.
Put the tree up yesterday. First time the main tree has been up since 2012. Hopefully the cats will leave it alone this time.
What's everyone up to this weekend?

The tree and my white christmas village are up. I always forget how annoying it is to put baubles on the tree nicely spaced out. Just when you think you've found the right branch you spot an identical bauble mere inches away! :rotfl:

Got my assignment mark back and it was another good one. Just one mark down from last time. Can't complain about that because it wasn't my finest work. ;) Celebrated with a mug cake. Yummy.

Hope everyone is as well as can be xx

Bernard and the Genie is one ive never seen. I remember others talking about it last year on here, must find it. Tonight I watched 'Christmas Eve' a new one woth Patrick Stewart. The story line follows several groups of people who get stuck in lifts all over New York when there's a power outage, it was a tad odd, but I really enjoyed it.

Having a quiet weekend. DD1 is on a sleepover with her friend, the house always seems too quiet and off balance when one of them is out for the night. Think it will be a day of visiting family tomorrow then and early Sunday dinner.

    Thanks Vulpix :)

Chrissy that box sounds amazing - I don't have any experience with it although apparently you can 'jailbreak' Apple TV or any iOS device. Unfortunately my brain can't deal with such concepts at this time of night so I'll read up when I'm more with it. :D

Well done on the assignment Clumsy and I share your pain over the evenly spaced baubles issue lol.

Ruth we'll be out to lunch tomorrow as have some of DH's family visiting and we took eldest DGD home today - she's been here since Tuesday - so it's a bit of a family weekend here.

Wish it would stop raining but can't complain really when compared to what those poor people in the Lake District are going through. It must be soul destroying for them at a time that should be so joyful.

Hope everyone on here is safe and sound.

    Stocking for DGS finally finished.

Caro emerald was really good last night

Hope all are well, had most of the kids round for dinner so it's been busy here today.
Hope all are as well as can be.
Dd3 bought the marriage box poem round for me so it's in the box now and I can get that wrapped and taken into work.
