:bdaycake: HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY 3FORHOLIDAYS AND PICKNMIX! :bdaycake:
I hope you all had a lovely day. Sorry I didn't realise yesterday, I am so BAD with birthdays! Believe it or not I do remember to check on the odd occasion but every time I do it is NEVER anyone's birthday! Then the birthday queen freespirit comes on and reminds me.
:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUNBUN! :bdaycake:
I checked and it's somebody's birthday! :j I hope you have a lovely day today bunbun.
quidsy I hope you enjoyed the cinema last night and that you feel better soon. How lovely to see that on the big screen!
murie I hope your DH feels better after going to the solicitors and you can all move on.0 -
Well despite being in the fizz of Christmas planning and prep we have put the reservation fee down on the new build we liked. We were getting a bit stressed with whether or not it was the right decision but we both feel a lot calmer now we've done it. I never thought i'd buy a house that hasn't been built yet! It's not going to be ready until September/October next year so we'll have to get into gear in the new year and sort out rental accommodation. It's a bit daunting but we're excited.
On the Christmas front i've still got some bits and bobs to do but i'm not stressed about it. Part of me would like to have been done and dusted with the wrapping etc ages ago but then part of me feels like it's part of my build up to Christmas and wouldn't be the same if I didn't still have presents to wrap. I'm planning ahead and have bought some buffet food for New Year's Day that i've put in the freezer, DH and I aren't going anywhere so i'm going to cook a 3 course meal for New Year's Eve and have a buffet we can graze the next day. That's if we don't eat it first of course....0 -

Princeskiity29-Well done on putting the reservation fee down! whoohoo exciting stuff, you are going to be in a lovely new house for next christmas.
Well today I have the pleasure of taking my gran on the christmas card drop to family scattered around. Hoping to be back for lunch and make a start on the christmas blitz lol x I am going to put the kids trees up in their bedrooms tomorrow after I have blitzed them. Will obviously say the elves have done it lol xx
Has anybody noticed how many sales have already started? I was like a kid in a sweet shop, got a game called juggle U from entertainer yesterday. It was £7 and it looks fab. Its got a couple of settings so easy setting for kids and harder setting for adults. Its part of the family gift I am doing for us this year. Have bought us a wii family trainer mat and 2 family games also this juggle u and hoping to get us a board game. On boxing day we have family day. Just the 4 of us, no mobile phones, no laptops, we do not answer the door or house phone and we concentrate on spending a fun day just us together. We love it!
Hope everybody is ok and getting well! Speak soon xx0 -
Morning all
Happy birthday bunbun hope you have a lovely day.
Got a fair bit of wrapping done last night and finished the cross stitch just need to tidy the back.
Got to find the dimensions for the phone case ds2 wanted knitting now so I can start that.
Only 3 more days at school, I remember when mine were little that used to send me into a panic as it meant it all had to be done by then if I didn't want little eyes everywhere.
Just need to go for a walk with Dh and post the slightly further away but not worth driving for cards, finish wrapping and have one more thing to buy when dd3 decides which game her fiance would like.
Then I can start baking and watching Christmas DVDs
Hope the poorlies are starting to feel much better and no one is too stressed.SPC~12 ot 124

morning- very dark and damp today so far.
Happy Birthday Bunbun x
Princesskitty29 - congratulations on reserving your new home! Exciting times to come!
04624181 - you are so right- its amazing how many sales are already on. I had an email yesterday from Ernest Jones and the watch that we have got for DS was reduced by £90 in their sale ! It was out of stock though so I consoled myself with that lo.
mrs moneypenny- I used to be like that when my two were little, everything had to be done and dusted by their last day at school. I have my card deliveries to make too but haven't been able to find the time as of yet.
re DH- all went ok at the solicitors yesterday (except the £420 fee for 10 minutes work that we had to fork out!). He is now good to go (literally!) on Friday!
Im planning an easy day (famous last words) as I don't feel 100% today, don't know whether I am coming down with something or whether its the stress of the last few days.
Take care everyone- enjoy the day xlovin' this site!

Well, I have finally managed to catch up, but didn't take notes! So happy birthday to those who have been celebrating, commiserations to those feeling under the weather, including Thumper, glad everyone is almost there with everything else and for those who are moving, best of luck with the packing!
Time flying by at the moment, losing track of days of week, anyone feel like that? However, I am sure we all agree on a sense of smugness at being almost ready, no rushing out to shop, wrap, just time to chill. Although, I am sick of the sight of the spare room, bags everywhere waiting to be delivered, once they are out of the way, hopefully I will be in a position to make the place look habitable again. But that is going to have to wait until I get back in new year.
Had office lunch on Friday, food was amazing and I was out from 11:30 which was the best part
Have a good day everyoneA smile costs little but creates much0 -
