Morning All
Chrissy I hope you DD feels better soon, blessing in disguise about the interview I guess (although not a nice one).
freespirit I haven't looked at the crackers and things yet, I really ought to have a peek as I'm thinking of offering to do Christmas dinner this year!! How is DD and DGB doing?
msgigglewick Sorry to hear not nice news
Well work is slowly quietening back down, as we start to catch up on the back log of transferring everything in to the new system. Another 1-2 weeks and I think it will be more or less back to how it was before Christmas, not alot to do and boring. On the plus side I will be able to fly with planning our wedding and Christmas gifts.
princesskitty It really is an amazing feeling!!! We are thinking of light pinks/blushes with either creams or a grey/silver.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Oh, Chrissy, hope your DD is ok now, and you too, of course.
Mrs G, sad news, my condolences with you.
Newthrift, what a lovely thing to be doing, the colours sound just gorgeous.
Boots sale, (oh dear) went into our high street store and bought 8 Christmas presents, then came home, went online and bought 3 more. I have bought specific this time, and now have more than half of my 2015 presents sorted.
Soooooo don't let me buy any more, please. (unless their gift tags get down to 90%, like they did last year!)
Mount ironmore is beckoning, so l better get going. Hope everyone is having a good day, xxx0 -
ty peeps. my brothers aren't coping too well atm so going to lend my humour into the situation in a bit. i'm more of a think things over and practical but i doubt i'll be going to his funeral.
Mrsinvisible - you so know you'll forget what you've bought.. write it all down! lol
Dh has been given compassionate leave and been sent home back so i'm not alone (nice of his boss) he also lost his friend to cancer last week so a bit of a double whammy.. Managed to have a total saving with online and instore of just over £200 (theres noway i'd have bought/spent original price on what we got) Over half way done extended family gifts and started on the girls too.. first year i've actually bought myself some bits :OTotally debt free wohooo 2014

I would have liked to have got something from boots but I'm skint til Friday.
The thread is quieting down now. I hope everyone sticks around through the year. I like to see everyone's preperations, only here people admit to starting now lol. I promise to keep popping in all year. I did try last year but missed out a few weeks here and there.
I got crackers from Wilko's, some wrapping paper (love their designs). More cards, a couple of letters to Santa kits with stickers and pencils.
I also got my DD1 some Nike trainers in the Next sale. They are a size bigger than she is, so will keep them for her birthday in August.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Msgigglewick Condolences to you and your family.
ChrissyG Hope that DD is ok.
Newthrift Those colour combinations for the wedding sound lovely.
Hope everyone is keeping safe in the wild weather conditions! Got some snow this morning but it is all gone now. Some more scheduled for Friday lunchtime though!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

My OH asked what I would like for my birthday this year [apparently 49 again is a big one ] So I have told him but he doesn't see it as a gift item .

Thanks for info re Costco Free.
Hugs MsGiggle, not easy losing a parent, even if the relationship ws not there.
Chrissy - I agree with your hubs. I was 49 again last year and my mum gave me money, telling me to spend it frivolously, suggest you have something similar
Had an email from Kringle candles, they have 300 items for £1. Had a look and appear to be mostly daylights, airfreshners and similar sized things. Would possibly be fine as stocking fillers or little treats for yourself.A smile costs little but creates much0
