Oh Chrissy, that's such a shame. How stupid of them not to think through how the late change would affect your DD. If they really want service user input, and they aren't just paying lip service so they can tick the 'user involvement' box, then they're going to have to up their game by quite a bit! I'm going to add some angry faces in support :mad::mad:
Nothing remotely Christmassy happening here. DD and family are moving into a new house tomorrow and we've spent what seems like every waking hour lately scrubbing dirt and grime and painting walls. Thankfully it's actually clean and bright enough to move into now. Amazing how different people have different standards - I know living in your own mess is fine but I could never leave a place in the state this one was left in and she seemed such a lovely woman too . Have DGS for the day tomorrow while the actual move takes place - the boys (ages 3 and 1) will be sharing a room for the first time so could be a wakeful night for DD and DSIL
Off to bed now as completely shattered - night night all. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Evening everyone,
PRINCESSKITTY oh yes spoiled with hugs big time, seen as he is the only baby on both sides of the family, there is 8 adults all wanting snugglesoh thankyou i had a wonderful time (it was my very first time) i have had cream teas before but never proper afternoon tea, although at the beginning DS was not impressed at all, they never had a booking for him, so he had to show the email confirmation on his phone, then they offered us coffee and tea while we waited for our table to be made up (was chuffed that they had costa coffee) then DS noticed a lipstick stain on my cup and said could we have one that has been washed please with no lipstick stain :eek: he wanted it to be just perfect for me as it was part of my christmas present but i just found it hilarious as usual, but the food was absolutely gorgeous, we just rolled out of there into the car, i didnt realise it would be so filling
:D Glad you had a lovely weekend
GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY haha i would be like your DB and find it hysterical too, i havent used the liquid version but i used to buy the kirkland washing powder in the big tubs and it was great, everything washed up really well and it used to last me a year and that was washing for 5 adults
FLUFFYSOX will keep everything crossed for you too
CHRISSY oh for goodness sake, and they are supposed to be specialists, it does makes you wonder???#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
newthrift ah it's exciting to hear you're making wedding plans, do you have a colour theme in mind? It's such a lovely feeling isn't it knowing you're marrying someone special.
CHRISSYG sorry to hear about that, it is truly unbelievable sometimes isn't it? I know plans used to change all the time in the office I worked in but this is entirely different and they should know what they're doing. It's very unfair as it causes stress for both you and your daughter. I too will add an angry face in support!
Peppapig I hope the move goes well for your DD. I too have scrubbed a few places before moving in!
freespirit glad to hear you had a good time. Your poor DS, it's not as bad if it was something that he'd booked for himself but as he'd booked it for you i'm sure he wanted it to be just right!
I've got a potentially stressful day ahead, me and 5 other NCT mums were supposed to be going out somewhere today but we found out yesterday that it's closed, so I said they could all come to mine as I hadn't hosted in a while. So that's 6 adults and 6 babies! It's not so much the people in the house, i'm more worried about wiggle getting his sleep. If he can't sleep properly he's going to be very grumpy and that will be difficult when i'm entertaining people. Don't get me wrong it's nice to see people and i'm looking forward to catching up, but I always find it a bit more stressful when it's at my house.0 -
Thanks for the support [] LOL
It took a while but she did calm down eventually.
I listed a load of DVD'S on EBay to try to offset the cost of DD's main birthday gift and so far we have £72-96 towards the £120 cost of the bag and still maybe a little more as 7 auctions end later tonight.
Although I rarely shop in Morrison's it will be a huge loss to the areas affected by the 10 branch closures announced today, they haven't said which branches but a lot of people are about to be jobless.
Nothing Christmas related here but DD has commandeered the birthday gifts I have for her dad ,she now has Fathers day sorted :cool:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
sounds like lots of exciting times for peeps on here
i've just been reading the boots thread on grabbit lol the usual it is/it isn't thing going on.
I've spent the last week designing some papercuts and cards.. the designing takes sooo long compared to the 30 mins to cut lol just need to take some proper photos so i can put them on my fb page then i can publish it. (dh still building my actual website that might be ready come next millennium lol) Struggling with how to price them though. Don't want them to be too much people are put off but don't want to underprice at the same time. I've done a few that can be personalised and some that are to go just as. Think i need to research that bit, a bit more maybe.
Xmas wise... umm i might pop to the boots sale.. not overly bothered this year though, having remembered tescos and wilkos etc all reduce them to around the same prices and my girls aren't overly bothered by labels. Money is a lil bit more easier which isn't forcing me to get up and out early either lol i know i should be savvy still but blah. Just not motivated gift wise yet lolTotally debt free wohooo 2014

i've been quite lucky the last 3-4 years.. our town has two boots. one huge one on an estate and the town one.. the huge one would probably have loads more stock (infact i know it does) but i also image its where most go to first. I've always go to the town one just before 9 and had pick of some nice bits. this year though my dd4 starts school later so won't get there before 9 if i do go. which is when it usually starts getting busier. So depending on how many people are in there when i walk past on my way to the supermarket to if i go in or not lol.Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Well after all of the aggravation yesterday it turns out to be a blessing in disguise that DD didn't take part in the CAMHS interviews as she is currently sleeping off another seizure ! Which would have happened mid interview. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I have just ordered christmas crackers from £15 to £5 for 12 in M&S i thought i might have been too late as last year i ordered them before new year and also have ordered the Babys 1st Christmas 2014 snowglobe, seen as i couldnt get a bauble, it was also reduced from £15 to £5 but because i ordered 2 items one was half price so from £30 to £7.50, and if i am lucky to have anymore grandchildren i shall collect snowglobes with the date they were born on instead of baublesmsgigglewick wrote: »i've been quite lucky the last 3-4 years.. our town has two boots. one huge one on an estate and the town one.. the huge one would probably have loads more stock (infact i know it does) but i also image its where most go to first.
