Take no notice nic, it's her opinion and as long as you enjoy the meal you've chosen and its part of your plan go with it. We all need carbs as well as protein to balance things.
I did watch that programme the other night where the vegan was just eating carbs all the time and hardly any protein
Her weight lost wasn't as drastic as the high protein eater but she still lost. The guy explained it by saying if you are doing lots of exercise you need protein otherwise you end up eating into the muscle instead of the fat but that was an 8 week diet not just one meal.
Hth, hugs for you and hope January improves.SPC~12 ot 124

Feeling really touchy. I am on a slimming thread and someone has questioned something I had on my plan to eat. Made me feel crap as if I was making a ridiculous choice. The thread is usually supportive, but it's made me not want to go on it. I know the plan inside out and have did it successfully ( when I have the motivation).
Not really having a good day, with folk questioning me, oh starting a new job with half the pay and more hours. January is not my favourite month lol x
Oh NIC well done on going to the CAB, it must have been very hard for you but its a big step done, and i hope they help you out with it all, sorry about your OH and the work situation that must be very worrying too, and as for the slimming thread just let it go over your head and dont even acknowledge them, you know what you are doing people just like to pick, sending you hugs and hope you have a good weekend x#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

nic i'm glad you feel better after going to the CAB, hopefully you'll be on your way to sorting it out now. And as others have said please don't get down about the other thread, i'm sure you're doing absolutely fine. As Mojoworking said she might have just been asking for your benefit and if not, then some people do these things to make themselves feel better.
Yay for the weekend, DH is at home! We might finally get the giant tree out of our living room now!
Hope you all have a good day. x0 -
Morning,
Can you get RSI from wrapping presents ?? I decided to wrap DD's birthday gifts yesterday but not long after I started to feel pain from the base of my thumb to almost my elbow. I have strapped it up which is helping a bit but its quite sore.
Why is it things like this happen when you are due at work ?? I have had 9 days off without any issues .
Does anyone watch Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners on Ch4 ? The opening credits where the woman licks her toilet as its so clean really makes my stomach churn. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hello lovely people
Sorry I have been awol again! I spent new years day and the day after back in hospital. I got an infection in my surgical wound that spread and there was concerns it would spread to my shunt as well. Luckily doubled antibiotics lots more test ect and everything is healing up wound wise.
Today I brought a table cloth , paper plates and napkins all nice xmas themed and all more than half price from Asdas for boxing day buffet this year! I feel really good about it and am determined to have everything finished and wrapped at the end of December with the house so Christmassy it could be in a museum lol! Ok maybe not that much..
Nic Big hugs. Well done for take steps to sort the debt. Its hard going but you are doing good!
Feisty Sorry to hear of all the stress regarding Atos/ESA ect. Its not a fair system at all some times. Big hugs and I hope they fix the situation quickly .

I went on to the original Ouch in December 2009 seeking advice over my ATOS interview for DLA, and it was the good advice there that secured me my higher rate mobility - and disabled person's working tax credit as a result, plus bus pass, blue badge, VAT free disability aids etc etc

Well done on making it to CAB, dealing with it will stop it from feeling like it's looming over you. As for the slimming thread don't let it get you down! If you know it works ignore the comments! I'm of the belief that you must have tiny wee slip ups or else you just get bored / disheartened and have a big splurge!Morning,

I can't even face the thought of wrapping after Christmas!
That programme actually annoys me. The original format as about helping the OCD sufferers manage their illness better. Now they all feed off each other and try to outdo each other with their routines and scores[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

I am on a mammoth catch up on uni work (open uni degree I started in October , so far no deadlines missed but a big important assignment due on the 29th!)
Also just filled and tapped over the dog flap as they broke it and I keep feeling a draft (one side was taped over but the other side wasn't. I used carry bags , over that I taped a plastic sheet over that I padded it with kitchen roll and over that used weatherproof type tape to seal it all in! Now to see if it helps!
Anyway enough procrastination - I have 20 pages of a textbook and 3 hours worth of online learning skills activities to do before I am where the other students are lol!NanMias - cyber granddaughter!

no major problems with the weather here Freespirit, just horrid to be outside.
I had to go out on a few errands today and took the boys with me. My 3yr old screamed at one point and demanded we go back in the shop quick. Did not have to remind him to hold the pram today- he was holding on tight so he didn't blow awayI needed to exchange something later on and asked DH if he wanted to stay home and continue watching Cars 2 with the children or if he wanted to go into the town centre. DS1 says, "Daddy, you go out in the wind and rain, I want my Mummy to stay here with me".
DH's expression was priceless. (I was the one that went out in the end, allowed DS1 to choose a bag of crisps as I went out so he didn't get upset)
Other news here, 3 viewings on our house this weekend, fingers crossed we get a sensible offer. At least one of the viewers will definitely put an offer in.
We have spotted an amazing house on rightmove. Only been on the market a few days and already lots of competing buyers. It is at the top of our budget and will need everything doing, but it really is the dream house. I used to walk along the road it is on, every day on my way home from school. I literally would daydream, saying to myself, when I grow up I will have one if those houses! Since growing up I have realised how out of our reach the prices are. To see this one come up in our price range kept me awake last night. But in reality there are so many people viewing it, it will probably end up out of our price range2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013
