FreeSpirit - Sorry to hear about the power cut and damage.
FluffySox Glad the weather has not caused issues where you are. I sincerely hope you get your dream house lovely! That's lovely that your little boy wanted you out of wind and rain lol.
I watched lots of catch up tv with my beautiful mumnow sat in my mouse onesie doing a bit more uni work. But going to give up as my poor head doesn't take in much information without wanting to explode
!
Just want to say that I love this thread and the kind people I have come accross! I truely hope this year is kind to each of you and your families.NanMias - cyber granddaughter!

CHRISSYG I know you can get RSI from repetitive tasks so could be, I don't know if it comes on that quickly or not. I hope the pain goes soon though. Even if I knew my toilet was cleaned to within an inch of its life I still wouldn't lick it!! Yuk.
Junior sorry to hear you had to go back into hospital, that's rubbish - especially over new year. I really hope you have a brighter 2015. Sounds like you're getting organised, I picked up some napkins but should have looked for plates and a tablecloth too! Good luck with your assignment, I hope you manage to get everything done in time, i'm sure you will as you sound quite determined.
freespirit oh that is rubbish! That's such a long time without power, what happened to all of your fridge and freezer stuff? I do hope you managed to salvage some of it. The winds have been horrendous, I hate lying in bed listening to it as we have two massive trees right outside the front of our house and it makes me nervous, even more so now we have wiggle. I hope you're ok and still enjoying lots of hugs with DGS.
I am very pleased to announce that we no longer have a tree in our lounge! DH first tried the gung-ho approach of yanking it through the doorway but it chipped some paint off our door! So then he did the sensible thing of trimming it down first. I don't think we'll get a real tree again, I did enjoy it but felt so sad when I saw it out in the garden looking all sorry for itself when it had once been lit up in glory. Plus wiggle will just try to eat all the pine needles i'm sure!0 -
fluffysox oh I know this feeling. We're hoping to move a bit later in the year and there is a specific road we'd really like to move to as the houses tick all the boxes, there is one on there currently that would be absolutely perfect but we can't do anything about it yet. I also worry about the level of interest and pushing prices up. Moving house is so difficult. I believe everything happens for a reason though and you will find the house you are meant to have, I do hope it's your dream house!0

How frustrating , I have had an email from the lottery "news about your ticket" gone to log in and the site is down  now I know the most I have probably won is £10 but I will be mentally spending the £500k in my mind all day until I get home from work to reality.:D
I cant even check the numbers elsewhere as its a lucky dip so I don't actually know them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
morning, dear chrissy, hope it is for lots more than £10, a couple in the next village to us won £30,000 on a scratch card last week, so it can happen!
Freespirit, thanks for the good wishes, and for being concerned about us in this vile weather. Hope you are all powered up now.
Feisty, hang in there, you are a wonder, so capable and coping.
JJ hope the recovery continues uneventfully, and that you get the OU stuff finished in time. (when you graduate we need photos, or a ticket to attend!)
Went shopping with DD yesterday, Got her a half price coat (sort of long anorak thingy) all fleece lined and snuggly, and 5 yes, 5 tops in the M&S sale, for less than £15 -the tops that is , the coat was in a different shop, cant remember its name, it is a newly opened one.
She was so chuffed, and kept telling me how pleased she was.
Then we went to Argoose for the things l had reserved, 4 more Christmas presents sorted out, yaay.
Today will be quieter, as l have run out of steam. And money.0 -

If it is 3 numbers you now get £25. Fingers crossed for a life changing sum!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Chrissy I hope it is more than a tenner lovely
Good luck.
MrsInivisable. Thank you lovely! I shall share pictures and tickets if and when I graduate (six year course lol)
PrincessKitty Hope you end up in a dream house lovely. Thank you I am really determined to catch up and get the hang of the degree properly! I reckon by Monday evening I will be all caught up and starting hard work on the assignment!
I want to maybe sort out more of my room and start a spreadsheet of presents and Xmas things. I am also going to think of activities I can do for me and my Godchildren and friends around Nov-December to make the festivities spread out! I also want to go back to Scotland November/December where my 4 Goddaughters are at perfect ages to be excited about Xmas! Year before last we went to Edinburgh Xmas market and things. xNanMias - cyber granddaughter!

Well done! :T I'd still be happy with that. Was excited that the Christmas scratchcard I bought hubby won him £2.
I can just picture us all at JJ's graduation. All in Christmas jumpers and wearing Santa hats or reindeer antlers...:rotfl:
Got two orders on their way to my local New L00k with several Christmas 2015 presents for friends and family.
Also picked up some Christmas cards at 75% off in Clinton's today.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
