Free - Those cups look great! What a clever idea.
Hope your daughter and thumper are feeling better soon.
I've had a look at sooo many deals today but haven't bought anything. I'd like some new jumpers but cant find any I like! Oh well suppose it stops me from spending money
Still have a few presents left to get but I'm struggling for ideas. Doesn't help that I need to focus on an essay rather than christmas! :rotfl:
Hope everyone is as well as can be xx“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Those cups look fab free.
Christmas fayre after. School tonight, ordered DGS a lovely first Christmas bauble and got some really nice stocking filler bracelets for the boys.
Made some practice deccys during class time for next weeks decoration day, loads of Christmassy fun.
Just now I've finished reading the charm bracelet by Melissa hill, a really lovely Christmassy book, I would recommend it for anyone who likes a happy ending festive tale.SPC~12 ot 124

I got my £50 amazon voucher for changing my gas and have already spent iti bought a Thermapen, i have wanted one for a long time and it was a good price then it went down another £8 before my eyes with a free silicon cover which saved another £4.80 so well chuffed, i also got myself another tart burner, some christmas trays and tablecover and a couple of kindle christmas books, all very selfish but i spend all of my survey money on everyones christmas and birthday presents so thought s*d it!

WHITESATIN hope DDs labour goes as smoothly as possible
Free you most definitely deserve it! You are always putting everyone else first which is wonderful, but you must treat yourself every now and thenmrsinvisible wrote: »we also had a cat with a penchant for Christmas tree climbing, she also liked to fight the baubles She didn't eat the tinsel, though, she just 'removed' it and hid it under cushions.
Hope all the poorlies are feeling better, and baby producers are well, and in for an easy labour.
Just had a call from school to collect DGS as he is not well, (second time this week) l wondered if it had anything to do with an hours detention he has tonight, but when l saw him l could tell he was peelie-worlie, and he has put himself to bed! Probably just a bug, but perhaps a call to the GPs is in order, in case the school get 'funny' about repeated absences.
Tonight is a night out for me, as DD and beautician friend are taking their mums out for Christmas dinner, whoop whoop.
Why is it that a small task can lead to a full mornings time? I set out to make a bed up for DSIL 2 who is coming to stay on Tuesday, but in the wardrobe in that room there was a scarf/gloves set to be wrapped, so l tried to find it, boxes and bags everywhere, couldn't find it, so had to tidy the wardrobe to put things back, then make the bed. Bedding was in another bedroom in the ........wardrobe, where l found.......... the blithering scarf!!!!!!! if there is a scotty up there, please beam me up, l need a break!
Lol I am terrible for getting side tracked and things taking 3 times longer than they should! DH gets so cross with me as I end up all stressed and bothered through my own doing. His favourite phrase to me is "Why make things easy for yourself?" in a really sarcastic tone :rotfl:
Well moving in day has arrived and I was up at 6am to finish a lot of orders that I'm behind on. The only problem is that the cutter is about as noisy as a TV on normal volume and we had a very minor run in with the new neighbors over noise and I'm scared to do anything in the house that they may hear. I completely see there point about the building work, but we have ensured it is never loud during unsociable times and even start at 10am at the weekends, but apparently they've had enough. I hate confrontation and it has put a little blight on us moving as we never had any words with previous neighbors. I'm really scared they may complain about the baby crying at all hours now. I'm now sat in the furthest room from the adjoining wall with the unattached door wedged in the gap praying they can't hear anything! Which I know is silly as at our old new build flat you could barely hear the machine when it was in the other room with doors closed.
Oh well, onwards and upwards! Wish us luck with everything today, DH is feeling rotten health wise and tempers are starting to fray!

nic those cushions are lovely! Well done you! I'd love to be able to make things like that, I always prefer home made.
Caz oh no how frustrating the pains have stopped, I bet you're at a point where you just want to get on with it! I hope the appt went well.
Baby boo CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your new DGD Harper-Lily, you must be chuffed to bits! What a lovely name.
whitesatin good luck to your DD, I hope everything is going ok!
fiesty I'm sure you are feeling tired and don't feel like work at all now! I hope you are managing to get some rest what with everything going on, your move date is looming isn't it?
freespirit i'm glad to hear you treated yourself with the voucher, you deserve it as you do so much for everyone else. I need to get on with some surveys as i'd like a thermapen too! You'll have to let me know how you get on with it. I really hope DD is ok, let us know how it goes. I LOVE your cups!! You keep giving me loads of great ideas, like filling them up with treats. I'm going to put these things on my list for next year! p.s. I promise I am not trying to be you...
04624181 I hope DD is feeling better soon.
pinknfluffy oooh enjoy London and Elf the musical - how exciting! And your DH is right, don't let those nasties put a cloud over your weekend, immerse yourself in everything Christmassy and enjoy! I know you'll miss your tradition but it will still be lovely when you put your tree up on Monday.
mandco I hope you and DS feel better soon, what is s&d? I'm sure i'm going to feel like an idiot when you tell me!
murie oh it does sound like you had a lovely day.
mrsinvisible I hope DGS is feeling better soon. There's lots going around at the moment!
Birthdays are overriding my Christmas prep a little bit at the moment, it's my dad's birthday next weekend and my brother's 40th on Christmas Eve so i'm trying to sort those out. I'm going to get my dad an Amazon voucher as he likes to do a bit of shopping and they sell just about everything! I've decided to get my brother a driving experience with an Aston Martin, I think he'd love to drive one of those and i'll get him a bottle of champagne. It's really silly because I feel a bit panicked that it's December on Tuesday, I don't know why as i've got most Christmas presents there's just a few bits to buy. It's almost as if my brain thinks it's Christmas Day next week!
We're currently at the in-laws as it's my MiL's birthday get-together this afternoon. DH and I are off to view a house this morning as we're hoping to move to the area early next year. We accepted an offer on our house a few weeks ago, it didn't even go to market as houses on our estate are in big demand. We weren't going to do anything before Christmas so it feels like it's all happening a bit quick! I do want to move so that we can get a better house for our money and so we can be near family, but i'm sad to be leaving the friends i've made and the lovely groups I go to. I'll have to start all over again when I move!0 -
fiesty our posts must have crossed! Wishing you massive luck for moving today and I hope everything goes as seamlessly as possible. As for the neighbours, I know this is so easy to say but you have to put them to the back of your mind. The building work won't last forever and they know that. As for the baby, as hard as it is (and I found this hard) you must not think about them! Babies cry and that's just the way it is, there is nothing anyone can do about it and quite frankly anyone would be silly to complain about a baby crying. You're not going to leave your baby to cry for hours on end, but there will be times when it takes a little while to settle it. Wiggle's room adjoins our next door neighbour's wall so they've probably heard him but it's just the way it goes. I know how you feel as I don't like confrontation either, but don't let them ruin moving in to your lovely new family home. As for DH, i'm sure he will feel a bit better once you are in and settled, I hope he doesn't feel poorly for too long. I know what it's like though, my DH gets grumpy and it really affects my mood too! I hope you're getting lots of help today and don't over-do it!0

Fiesty, just think, this time tomorrow, next week, next year will this matter?Your hormones are not helping you at the moment, keep that in mind.xxx
Another good make Free, were you once a Blue Peter presenter?
We got a Christmas card in the post yesterday.
Went shopping in Nottingham yesterday.Mr V bought me a necklace which was clever as he wasn't even there!
Bought Mr V a teeshirt, to go with his bag of nuts and wind up torch ,ha,ha,ha.No,not funny really I have no clue what to get him,he wants for nothing,if he wants it he buys it.He will have to sit there on Christmas day and just watch everyone else open lots of parcels!
I have bought myself a santa mug from As-a,1950's American style. They have other crockery in the same style, had to be strict with myself as I already have so much Christmas stuff like that.
Now for the scary news. Our builder wants to start knocking the wall out in our kitchen diner. This means that i will have to put EVERYTHING out of the kitchen either in the hall or the sittingroom. So whats the problem you ask?I was going to Christmas decorate and will have to wait until the week before when it is finished.Already I have been looking through the decoration boxes in the spare room at all my lovely things.Yes I think I am mad too.I am itching to get all those Christmassy things out again.
I am wreath making today with my daughters.

I hate to say this Feisty, but I think your new neighbours need to get a life and suck up the volume of real life. You have been more than considerate about noise and with works being carried out, there is going to be noise, it is impossible not to have that. I suggest you have a word with the HA, you & DH are achieving your dream in a few weeks, if the neighbours keep up with that attitude, you are going to be more afraid of upsetting them than the far more important thing of enjoying watching bub grow and being parents.
I work for a construction company & there was a complaint left on the answering machine one Monday morning, a neighbour complained about our guys starting work too early! We ignored it, they don't use loud tools until it is a reasonable time not to bother the neighbours but with the best will in then world, there is going to be noise.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Morning all
Feisty ignore them, real life isn't a silent movie. Everyone has to make a little noise just going about day to day stuff, they are being unreasonable expecting you to be totally quiet.
Happy birthday Pink&fluffy and fluffysox
Went to two Christmas fayres this morning, some nice stuff but wasn't overly impressed. Did win a bottle of mulled wine in the bottle tombola and some chocs in the choc tombola so quite pleased about that
Just had a phone call to say I've won a raffle prize which they'll deliver today, not sure what it is yet.SPC~12 ot 124
