Still want to get up in the attic and rummage in the baubles.

Well if that doesn't sound like a festive euphamism I don't know what does :rotfl:

Gettingtherequickly - you could also split up some bags of coins etc or depending on funds and recipients maybe split a box of lemsips/strepsils?

Ordered my neice's christmas present from the black friday on amazon this morning, purely by accident as I had been thinking of getting it and there it was, already live when I got to work at 7.30 so whipped out the card pronto!

Need to wrap my SiL presents either this evening or tomorrow as we're seeing her at the weekend and this will be the only chance to deliver - probably should also write the card now I think about it.. :D

Only got a few presents left to get but a couple I don't order until closer to the time in case the OH buys them for himself first! Does anyone know where you can get cheap canvas tote/shopper bags with funky designs? Everywhere I can find seems to be wholesale and I only want a few...

Hugs, hot chocolate and mince pies to everyone :xmastree:
  • Just made me laugh when I read your take on my meaning. I've been in the attic but I was alone. I did have a rummage and was pleased to find three trees! So don't have to buy another.

Talking of big babies my DGS who will be 8 months at Christmas so it's his first Was 9lb 9oz when born. He looked huge and hardly any of the stuff dd had fitted him, he's still big for his age.

Good luck to all waiting on a baby arriving, will be nice to hear some good news.

Nice to see you back Babyboo hope your hubby is on the mend soon. Sounds like you have both had a tough time x

So when is everyone putting up their tree and decs? :xmastree:
I'm hoping we can get it up on Saturday. Usually I'd wait til the first weekend in December, but we are really busy all that weekend. And this weekend is quiet.
I bought a small 3ft tree for 50p in the Tesco Christmas reductions last year. I need to find cheap lights for it. Should only need 30-50 lights for it. That way I can have a small tree at the front door (side window) and keep the big one for the living room. Our house is back to front and the living room is at the back. Only Dog walkers can see in lol. The front only has the front door and 2 rooms upstairs, so hard to show off any trees or lights.

I have some battery operated lights for the willow tree outside too. But this year none of the leaves have fallen yet! Usually it's bald by now. I think it's been the mild weather that has made it last longer.

Lol, whilst talking euphamisms, this did make me laugh the other day. Sorry Free :o

Spent most of last night clearing my kindle of books I had read and downloaded lots of christmas free books. Started reading one last night. I decorated my living room window with 2 large snowflakes and a glittery star. Will see how it looks in daylight. I got 20 small suction cups with hooks from £1 world and have just added cotton and hung them up in the window. Usually have a lit up merry christmas sign but we hardly ever plug it in.
Need to wrap some gift but have been to the gym today and Im aching a little so going to take it easy and catch up on holby.
I am on operation lose a stone for christmas! so dusted off my gym membership card and bit the bullet this morning x

No baby yet for my daughter (due on 23d Nov). I stayed overnight as I will tonight but he is taking his time, bless him.

My daughter was up for a shopping trip today believe it or not. We went to John Lewis in Welwyn Garden City and both went a bit mad. I bought some lovely seasonal candles and can't wait to use them at home. They smell just like the "Winter" range from The White Company.

So, fingers crossed that little one puts in an appearance tonight as I need to pop back home tomorrow morning. This could go on......

whitesatin I know the feeling! Not long after I posted last night my pains stopped! Grrrr! I have a hospital appointment tomorrow so hopefully they will sort me out there!

Meanwhile I have spent the day ordering Christmas gifts on Amazon Lightning deals - so not a bad days work!
