Freespirit The boxes that the councils supply for recycling items are tiny even though they empty them every week! We have a wheelie bin but it only gets emptied once a fortnight but you can request a larger one if required.
My mum & I are on the lookout for a small fibre optic tree (about 3ft). We fancy a green one to replace our white one that is several years old. :xmastree: Any ideas where to look? Was thinking the local garden centre as they have them on display but any other suggestions would be gratefully received.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

That is so exciting for you, Baby boo, it is wonderful being a grandma. I am sure it will all go well for you all.
Now, as it happens, I am at my daughter's house having had "the call" to look after her other two boys as she has had a few signs that the baby (due yesterday), may well be on his way. I'd rather sleep here than get a call to come out in the night time. So, maybe tonight it will happen or, maybe not.0 -
All the best for you both Baby boo and Whitesatin xx (and of course the mothers in labour!)lovin' this site!

Hi all
Sorry been MIA for ages! As we are talking about babies...mine is due on Thursday after trying to conceive for nearly 4years!
I have been having some pains about 7 minutes apart so too early to go to hospital yet!
I have almost finished the majority of my Christmas shopping...wanted to get it nearly finished before baby came!
Hoe everyone is well, sorry to hear some of you have been having health troubles in your families.
Big hugs

Wow lots of new babies making their debut this week, lucky grandmas and mums, what a lovely time ahead for you all. Mrs moneypenny, how wonderful to be a proffessional needle worker. I always wanted an overlocker and lessons on its use but they look so complicated, all those different spool lines!
l started a baby cardigan yesterday, simpe 4 line pattern, row purl, row knit, row purl row pattern easy peasy, you would think? So why have l unravelled it 3 times so far. GRRRR
fave cos brought me a bottle of her home made sloe gin last night so l will add a small bottle of it into the home made hampers and probably just drink the rest, (hard life, eh?)
DDIL asked for asmoothie maker so l fell lucky with a kenw**d one for £15 in B&M will wrap it today .DGD wants a make up set with nail polishes and lip glosses, so l think l will raid DDs Av*n supplies and demo stuff and put it in a nice make up bag for her, or is that a 'home made' too far? She is 9 years old.
l am using my tablet to post this, and as l am a novice with it excuse typos etc please. Xx0 -
Wow so many babies on the way! Hope it all goes well!
Thanks everyone I'm feeling alright now. Although now my hands are achey thanks to the cryotherapy! :rotfl: Can't win!
MoneyMission - That tree looks lovely!
Did some more shopping online last night. Ordered my sister's present for mum. And ordered a christmas jigsaw for my sister. 1000 pieces should keep her busy over christmas! :rotfl:
Better get on with my long day of study. Essay 2 is due a week on thursday. I have a feeling I'm going to need an extension...“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”
