Thank you all for your good wishes,Christmas people really are the nicest.Just to explain myself,I meant to say that I didn't think my back must be as bad as other peoples. On a good note I am 2 " taller and the crack of my bum now runs up to my shoulder blades lol.
I made 3 decorations today for my craft groups tree in the Christmas tree festival.
I cannot wait to put decorations up in this new house.I have spent a lot of time thinking of what can go where. This house is smaller than the last.I think I can squeeze 3 trees in though.porch, sittingroom and kitchen.
All my prezzies are wrapped, freezer stocked up,cupboards full of nibbles. All I need now is cream, butter, spuds etc.
I just love the build up to Christmas.

Morning all
Lovely to see everyone so almost ready the great thing about this thread and everyone in it is that because we are all so organised and do bits all through the year we can actually enjoy Christmas as we aren't running around like headless turkeys searching out gifts last minute and having major panic attacks or stressing out.
My dd1made me smile she is uber organised and usually has it all bought and stashed by end of sept, she just leaves the wrapping, she was telling me about friends of hers who laugh at her mentioning Christmas gifts early on but are now in melt down as Christmas is getting so close and they'll never be ready. As she said it's not like the date changes every year to catch you out it always falls at the same time.
Anyway have a lovely day all, in going to be at the sewing machine again I did a sample ruff fir the play so need yo pop it in school this morning and if it's ok need to get seven more made.SPC~12 ot 124

morning everyone, just managed to catch up on all the posts, Glad you are ready for moving feisty, lovely getting a new grandnib in time for Christmas whitesatin, Vulpix, great that the op is done and has worked so well for you.
We had a great time in York, got loads of presents and stocking fillers.
Have been well laid up since tho, cos of all the walking,b ut worth it. why is it doing bold? sorry, cant change it.
Got more of the presents wrapped and got what l hope is the last of the wants/needs from DDIL so today will hopefully see that finished too. Bold is off, clever me learned another thing.
DGS (13) says that 'of course l know that 'he' isn't real, but its nice to pretend for the littlies'.
I'm afraid l still spend on the 3 of mine as when they were young, but that isn't a lot, it is the time taken choosing, wrapping and giving that matters.
DS1 and DSIL s main present is a night in a hotel while they are here, with dinner, and finding different ways of wrapping that up really tax the ingenuity of the lnvis brain.
Time to get up, and get DGS to school.
Free, well done you on the wallpapering,0 -
MrsI I still spend the same on mine - in that they all get the same amount regardless of age. The piles seem smaller now they are older as stuff has changed from toys to books tech or clothes.SPC~12 ot 124

Wow, this thread is moving fast!
Went to Meadowhall yesterday, husband and kids in tow. Its at this time if year I realsie that I am better shopping on my own. Sigh. More stuff ticked off the list. So all good really. Bought myself a christmas planner, so spent last night filling that in, thought it might be good to keep for next year so we dont repeat gifts.
White Satin how excitinghaving a new baby at christmas time!! I think you should go to France, the terrorists want us to be scared.
Princess Kitty glad you enjoyed your break. Lol at your DH getting giddy, my DH is such a humbug.
Vulpix Glad you are feeling better after your op!
Ruth Honey Trisha meet sounds fab!
Clumsy Yes!!! The Boots cristmas catalogue seems very jumbled to me.
Free Your decorating is fab! Well done. Totally with you on the kids messy room, my daughter is a nightmare.
MandCo how old is he? My 10 year old boy loves diary of a wimpy kid, tom gates etc. How about Harry Potter or The Hunger Games? Me and my boy are going to read Roald Dahl books together, and discuss them, as advised by his teacher.0 -
 Hey everyone, Sorry I have not been on for a few days.
Funny bunny=Well done on the Job and thanks for the lidl info x I missed the snow here as I was watching a play at my sons school
Pinksteps=Well done on being orgaised, you can sit back and enjoy the festive time.
linz4384-congratulations on being an aunt, that must of been amazing to witness x
Aliie23- hope the baileys turned out ok x
Freespirit-Your decorating looks amazing!! Well done you, it must feel great to have achieved that. I would not know where to start lol Glad your cs clear out is going well. What a waste of time for you both having to go to the hospital. Your cutlery holders are fab. I picked some tree stockings up in the january sale to use as cutlery holders and some huge plastic snowflakes to use as coasters lol x
newthrift-I have got budget lists all over my living room and bedroom, I am now using my diary and bills book to keep me in check.
Moneymission2015-hope the clear out went well
peppapig-lol thats fine you can call me 0462 xx He does love his little survival kit and the kids can write him a message/draw a picture and pop it in the bag for him to open when he is in hospital
pinknfluffy28- Thats a tough one to comment on. I would like to say that I will spend the same on them until they are at a stage of earning money themselves. There is an 8 year gap between my kids so DS is 13. He has less gifts as his things cost alot more.
gettingtherequickly- christmas pile does multiply when wrapped.
princesskitty29-glad you had a lovely break, hubby seems to have enjoyed the sensory class aswell as wiggle lol x Sounds like christmas is in full swing for you all, it is great that you are all in the festive mood. My tree is going up on saturday as the kids love it. My husband was always very bah humbug but now is very much in the festive mood, since we had the kids it reminds him what it was like when he was a kid and the excitement is recreated x
vulpix-glad you are feeling better. As a fellow back sufferer I can completely agree with you that people should not ignore back pain. If I had maybe gone to the dr sooner I could of maybe avoided 2 spinal surgeries. How are you doing? If you do not mind me asking what did you need doing? I had a slipped disc at l4/l5 which trapped my nerve. I love you talking about decorations I love love love putting them up x
clumsy42-Im not far from manchester, a bury girl x
whitesatin-how exciting for you all, hope that baby behaves and comes today for you all xx
mrs_Ryan-fantastic deal on the gusto machine.
murie-hope you managed to wrap the animal gifts before the animals got them lol
Ruth_honey- your day sounds fantastic!
crowdpleaser-sounds like a productive day
feistyfidget-good call on the love2shopvouchers. good luck with the move x
mrsinvisible-Glad you enjoyed york, what a lovely gift of a night in a hotel, I would love thatx
Mrs Honeybadger-My friend sent me a picture of a carpark she got stuck in a the weekend. It was a multistorey in my town, she was in there for 1hr30mins as it was so busy with christmas shoppers so all my remaining shopping will be done during the week or online lol
Wow sorry for the long post, hope I havent missed anybody out x mental note POST DAILY!!!0 -
Afternoon everyone, only 32 days now...not long at all!
How much has the temperature changed over this weekend, it went from being relatively mild to absolutely freezing...I think I'm the only one I know that appreciates the lovely wintery weather, and gutted I didn't see any snow
I have two more small presents to pick up and then I'll be officially done, which is such a lovely feeling
Now I just have to worry about the annual shopping trip with my dad to get all of my mum's presents!
The wall looks brilliant Free!and I'm a tad jealous of the cutlery holders!
Glad to hear centreparcs was so nice PrincessKitty, it sounds lovely
I'm round my mum's this weekend to put up her tree, I told her it's too early but she won't have it lol I'm getting mine down from the loft though so it can go up promptly when I get home from work next Tuesday
So I need your help Christmas crazieswe were given a nespresso machine by our best friend's parents mainly because our best friends don't like coffee...but it was very generous and we offered to pay but they wouldn't let us, which means we're going to get them something for Christmas. We wouldn't usually get them a Christmas present so they'll know it's a thank you gesture but not sure how big/ small to go...they have a massive family so was going to get a photo calendar with pictures of all their children and grandchildren on it but not sure if that's a bit meh considering the value of the nespresso machine. Any suggestions?
I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:0 -
vulpix I'm so glad to hear the op worked on your back and that it has eased for you, great news.
murie oh blimey it's easy to have one too many tipples there!I found the programme from last year so might oreder some bits of food that I enjoyed last year like amazing scotch eggs of various flavours, the only problem is I won't get any promotions that they offer at the show.
fiesty really glad to hear the house is all coming together! I know it's difficult when you're a perfectionist but you have to keep in mind that you'll get them done in the end. How are you feeling now you're so far into your pregnancy?
freespirit you might be under-selling yourself, it sounds like you sew some great things! Perhaps you are better than you thought.
04624181 yes my DH is now the same, he's really into Christmas this year. He's even been talking about getting my Christmas presents which is really early for him, he usually gets them about a week before Christmas! I think he was also a bit shamed by his best friend who said he got his wife's presents in September!
ellie I think the photo calendar is a lovely idea. I don't think is meh, they didn't want anything from you so it'll be a nice surprise for them.
I'm sorry if i've missed things out, this is a flying visit. I ordered another present for DH yesterday, one more to get then he's done! :T0 -
For those with children who are not sure whether to still believe or not, there is a free video from Santa that you can create which may help:

elliw8-A gift that would bring joy is worth more than money. I personally would get more joy from a calender filled with my families pictures.
princesskitty29-isnt it nice that men can still surprise us lol
springdreams-my daughter absolutely loves PNP and we use it every year x
Well I have done nothing today! I am supposed to be taking the kids swimming after school today but changed it to a family games night instead xx0
