  • Morning lovelies, I sadly don't have a hope of catching up :( The site won't let me search for posts made by me and it was taking ages to find where I had posted from and I was getting all in a muddle!

This may have already been mentioned, but Wilkinsons have some amazing bargains at the moment! The huge 5ltr official Kilner jar drinks tap things are reduced down to £10! I've not even seen the imitation ones this cheap, could be perfect for mulled wine? They also had some good sized hamper baskets from as little as £2.50 - I hope this helps someone :)

Freespirit66- Thank you for your kind words on our love letter tradition. I can honestly say those words mean more to me than any gift and I always end up crying. We get that caught up with trying to make everything perfect that we end up burning ourselves out. Have you seen that checklist on organised christmas

this made me think! I had a huge to do list and then I did this and honestly felt so much better.
Fiesty fidget-Thanks for the wilkinsons heads up. Will hopefully call in today.

Im dropping husband off for some tests at hospital this morning so the plan is drop him off and then I will go into the town centre and do some shopping to keep me busy until he needs picking up. Got my list and im checking it twice lol
    Christmas hugs and sprinkles xxx
  • Morning all
04624181, well done on being organised I appear to have lost my list!
    Love letters sound lovely

Knitted most of Robin last night, one load of stockings will leave the house today, I'm busy all day but hope to finish Robin later so him and the snowflakes can leave at the end of the week.

Hugs and good Christmassy wishes to all

  • The M&S calendar finally went on sale this morning. :j I've ordered mine so fingers crossed I actually get one!! (Not convinced that I won't get to the store to be told -sorry we ran out)

Very happy - let's hope this marks an upturn in the year!
Penny: I'm a little low on cash.
    Leonard: How much you got?
    Penny: Nothing!
Leonard: How can you walk around with no money?
Penny: I'm cute, I get by.
  • Morning all :) just realised this time in 5 weeks it will be my last day at work before Chistmas woohoo! Can't wait!:j
Free it's a nightmare...we are lucky enough to have space in the spare bedroom because otherwise I'd be going up and down the loft every night lol
04628141 I really like the idea of love letters, me and the OH have a £50 limit for now but in the future if there are little ones to buy for I think the love letter will be perfect, especially as we're both quite soppy  hope your DH's appointment goes ok...you also just made me start singing Santa Claus is coming to town (oh yeah )
Nothing too Christmassy to report except watching Die Hard last night...the OH convinced me it's technically a Christmas film lol
I shall start wrapping presents on Wednesday I think, the OH is out all evening so I'll try and get all of his done...is it sad that I'm actually getting excited to start wrapping with Blissmas on in the background?lol
    I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:

Morning. Woke up feeling yakky, achey and sore throat.
Writing lists and doing tidying today.
Glad you got your calendar Sensible Jess
    04624181that list is genius!
My husband promised friends they could stay at ours over christmas, not sure where he thought they were going to sleep as the spare room was full of stuff. Spent the weekend doing tip runs, charity shop runs and putting things on our local selling site. Carpet ordered to be fitted at the end of the month, so at least I can use that room to organise my christmas stuff! Ordered a day too, but that isnt coming until the 18th December, it feels like ages away, but its not!!

Mrs_Ryan- I buy my calanders from the Calender club online. If you sign up to their newsletter you get discount codes and free delivery offers. As I'm disabled it saves me going to my local shopping centre to get the Calender and now I can look at all the calanders in the comfort of my own home. The calendars come well packaged so they don't bend in the post. At the moment it's free delivery on all orders.

Also on the calanders club website I have just bought some mini cupcake candles for 99p perfect for stocking fillers. And they look good enough to eat :rotfl:

As of today I have officially finished my gift shopping!!:j just the food to buy and decorations which isn't so bad.

I didn't actually think I would be able to get the calendar I needed online as Ive only seen it for sale in the East Midlands but they do have it. The unfortunate problem with that is that OH would see it and its his present...!! But thank you for the suggestion :)

    Hi everyone,
Hubby had a sigmoidoscopy today as he has severe ulcerative colitis and was in a severe flare in april which led to 6 weeks in hospital. Consultant was so pleased with the results of the camera today that he doesnt want to see him for another 3 months! soooooo happy!!!
Spent the day shopping. Have just got DS and my father and father in law to buy for now. DD is officially done as bought her a nintendo dsi today with some games. Got my santa tablecloth from B&M today too. It is red and white(think santa hat) and will match my santa hat chair covers. Soooo excited now!! Got 2 lovely boxes of shortbread biscuits from M&S in a tin with a stag on the front. £4.50 each reduced, got them for hubby to give as gifts at his work. Also got kids a couple of dvds to watch now. Got myself 2 long sleeve tshirts to go under some wool waistcoats. Buy one get one half price at forever 21. Even got my step mums voucher and got the cash out for stepsister and my sister too x feel like im in control and organised. I love it !!!
  • Glad to hear the results were so good.

Saw these on Groupon and they made me smile... 04624181-they might go well with your tablecloth and chair covers!

Oh, and I finally found the gingerbread cappuccino sachets in Poundland. I've only tried one, but I thought it was a bit watery. Might try using a smaller mug next time. Another thing is, the inner sachets are just silver, with no instructions on, so can't do what I was planning and separate them out for hampers etc. Might have to buy the nescaff ones after all... :(

Ongoing screw ups with our bathroom repairs. Don't think anything has gone to plan with it so far. The colour paint we want wasn't available, the quantity of tiles wasn't enough, so had to buy something totally different (and way more expensive), the flooring has been one big nightmare (carpetright have been beyond useless!!!) and I really don't think they'll be finished this week, as hoped.
