Ruth honey- the link to groupon is fantastic! oh no, what a nightmare with the bathroom. When everything is finished and you are lay in your new bath with a huge hot bubble bath run, candles on, glass of wine in hand you will have survived this stressful time and be enjoying your new gorgeous bathroom.

  • I forgot to mention we officially started Christmas shopping last Friday AND I managed to get 6 meters of cute wrapping paper in the Card Factory for 99p! Very chuffed :)

Still a huge list to buy for, but the most awkward one is done and I'm planning on using our nectar trade up this week for two more difficult pressies! We are slowly getting there :)

    Good Morning christmas crazy friends:j

Have woken up in a fantastic mood! today is a charity shop run, home bargains quick shop(who am I kidding!) then home to wrap the gifts I bought yesterday. Im debating whether to buy my son an xbox one. He has the 360 but we have been told that they are no longer making games for it. Trouble is they are £300 before games controllers etc.Was talking to The guy at game when I went to get my daughter the nintendo dsi and he told me to wait until black friday as last year they did a deal of xbox one, a controller, 6 games and xbox live for 12 months for £300. Im trying to be extra good this month to see if we can afford it so any tips on being extra frugal this month would kindly welcomed! we had beef casserole with lentils in last night for tea to stretch it further x

Fiesty fidget-I love buying wrapping paper x sounds like a good deal x
elliew8- am sorry I missed your post for some reason, The love letters has been a hit in this household for years. We get so busy with the kids that we forget to be romantic sometimes so it is just nice for us to be able to write down our thoughts once a year. We do something similar with christmas cards, we buy each other and the kids huge christmas cards and we then use them every year. Every year we write in a message relevant for that year and we also get the bonus of being able to read previous years messages too. It makes it fun when we get the cards out. the kids do it for each other in the huge brother and sister cards and they do it for us too in a huge mum and dad card.
freespirit66-I honestly looked at things so differently because of that list, took a weight off my shoulders lol

I did a big online shop yesterday via entertainer & argos (cash back of course!) and have finished the kids. Mine & the one friends lot I buy for. only 4 adults to do now & I'm done
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

    Afternoon all.

Another day of awful weather here. Torrential rain on and off and now the wind is getting up again. Of course it had to be raining when the poor postie was doing his rounds. He brought me two parcels. One of which was in cardboard so got properly soggy! Luckily I think both presents are alright.

New electric toothbrush came today too. Much cheaper than the one that broke 3-4 months after the warranty ran out. I've learnt my lesson and shan't be buying expensive toothbrushes ever again! :rotfl:

Ooh, forgot to mention that Tesco have christmas tree shaped crumpets in. We're waiting to buy them though so they're well enough dated to go in the freezer for boxing day. Think we had them from Tesco last year too.

Hope everyone's as well as can be xx :)

Wow the weather here is awful! Hope you are all staying toasty!

Christmas shopping with my DD on Sunday. I was just looking ;). We went to The Range, I got some good ideas for people. DD got a 6ft white Christmas tree and some lovely lights. My DGD's will love it :xmastree:

mj132 - my brother has lived abroad in various countries for years. I always send him a Moonpig card with family pics on it. They do lovely personalised gifts. Not sure if they deliver to S.America though! You'd have to check the website.

04624181 - Sorry to hear about your back. Your GP might be able to refer you to the Chronic Pain Team at your local hospital. Good news about your hubby!

Carlislelass - Well done. You are very organised. I'm very jealous!

Freespirit 66 - Good luck with the cutlery holders! Hugs hope you are feeling less anxious.

Whitesatin - your spare room sound lovely.

LazySheep - They have the choc oranges for £1 in Sainsbugs too! Watching the world rush by in a blind panic whilst sipping mulled wine sounds perfect :D

Nic2075 - Well done on the job, perfect with the holidays.

P-Pincher - Someone at work went on the Harry Potter tour and raved about it for weeks! Have fun :)

I found some great boxes in The Range for putting under my bed for storing presents. They have large ones too for storing all my Christmas decs. Roll on payday!

I'm determined to organise all my lists and random scribbles into a proper list for this week's round of gift buying!

Ok off to finish my chips nom nom nom!

The Christmas Tree in our city centre. The lights were switched on last Saturday. We waited until later and had a look. Its not traditional and its divided opinion, but I really love all the glass balls! :T

found some gingerbread flavour popcorn today in £land not sure what it'll taste like but its going in the xmas eve box. They also had loads of frozen themed xmas stuff like pretty blue mini heart tree decs with anna & elsa written on in glitter and some fun looking craft kits including make your own stocking/crackers/fuzzy felt scene

picked up the 1/2 price wax melt warmer from wilkos so as taz says the house currently smells like christmas :D was suprised at how strong it actually smells in a small room it could be quite overpowering.

tesco have the standard size (med?)selection boxes on offer at 1/2 price now £1 I know they probably aren't really even worth that as its snack/mini sizes inside but picked up a couple for the school fete donations box.

ordered taz an "I'll be good next yr" minions tshirt so just need to find a xmas one for dd now but been that impressed with the options for women I've seen so far

Taz doesn't really need anything else other than stocking fillers so hes pretty much sorted but struggling to find some cheapy token gifts that aren't just tat to pad out the others piles esp for the boys  slowly ticking things off my list but the days seem to be going faster than my shopping

anyone seen any offers on itunes lately?
