    arrgh just lost my post

princesskitty hope wiggle is feeling better soon

    nic congrats on the job

pinknfluffy thanks for the heads up on lego dimensions I've been hoping it would come down a bit more so great find esp as alot of places seem to have put it back up today

freespirit congrats on the weight loss. re the snow spray the one I got last yr was water based and suitable for use on trees so I'm sure it would work the only concern would be thumper as it does say if swallowed seek medical advice. when taz was younger I put a barrier around the bottom of the tree so he couldn't touch it which might be worth considering?

irishrose how frustrating having to fork out so much money right on top of xmas. how is the holiday planning going?

forgot to mention the other day the card factory have individual candy canes 15p each or 10 for £1 red/white red/green or rainbow colours

  • Evening everyone, im really having bad anxiety attacks at the moment and its getting on my nerves, i was awake with it from 4am until nearly 7am, things were running round in my head about how much rubbish we still have around the place and how many things are falling apart, broken etc (sh***y exH left us in a right state with unfinished projects and rubbish) i have slowly been trying to get rid of stuff in wheelie bin but you can only get rid of a bit at a time now its 2 weekly collections, i feel like im drowning in the stuff, the garage is full, the loft is full, thats without his sheds and workshop!!:mad: and my usual about having workmen here i have noticed 3 bungalows in our road with all scaffolding set up around their roofs and they are all HA ones, so im guessing we are in for big works after christmas???? I also think we have gotten very lazy at weekends, since he went, we are all so relaxed and chilled and do what we want to do, be it duvet day in front of netflix, reading books, crafting etc and the kids work really hard i hate asking them to do big jobs! Plus as i have gotten older i find it hard doing jobs on my own i dont have the strength any more (oh gawd i sound like im 70 not 49 :rotfl:) i will stop moaning now i just needed to get it off my chest i think, and i dont want christmas spoiled by anxiety attacks! ENOUGH! I spent a lovely afternoon finishing sewing my santa cutlery holders and have sewn on the belt bit and the white fur round the bottom, just another 2 to finish while watching christmas films :D

MRSINVISIBLE oh you do cheer me up with your funny posts :D I hope you have a wonderful time in York

SPRINGDREAMS oh they are lovely ornaments

KISSMENOW you do sound as though you have a lot on your plate, but it will all come together in the end :)

IRISHROSE oh no what a pain having the heating going an extra expense you could do without! Love the perfume baubles

NIC omg i still couldnt watch the x factor even if it was to see the coke advert :rotfl:

PRINCESSKITTY oh no poor little wiggle, bless him, earaches are horrible in little ones! I hope the antibiotics kick in quickly and you are able to go on your lovely little break!!

MANDCO yes that is what im worried about, i think i will leave it this year while he puts everything in his mouth, he tried to put a lump of dog fur in it the other day:eek: im sure the cans will still be ok til next year and id rather him be safe, thankyou :)

Hugs Freespirit I hear you on the anxiety attacks. I fall asleep instantly in bed, but almost always wake up about 3-4am and then lie worrying and mad scenarios going through my head. Thankfully during the day I can deal with things better. Would you consider hiring a man with a van for the morning to clear our ex's stuff and other unwanted stuff? It probably wouldn't be that much to get a local guy from facebook selling sites etc. I always feel lighter when I clear stuff out. We are every 3 weeks with the general waste bin, so it's really hard to get rid of stuff here.
I'm the same with X factor, I really don't enjoy it, not even for the coke advert Lol. Sat watching Chritmas 24 instead :-) x

  • Princesskitty - hope wiggle is feeling better soon.

Free - hugs to you. Hope you have managed to sleep better tonight.
There is nothing wrong with lazy weekends, we have gotten exactly the same lately. Since my hours increased I just dont seem to have any life left in me come Saturday. Its gotten to the stage now where I will happily run around on a Friday evening shopping, ironing etc, just to make sure we have nothing that needs doing over the weekend.

Full of cold, so have come down very early to let dh get a few hours undisturbed sleep. Also got a letter yesterday calling me for Jury service in Jan, which is playing on my mind a bit as its going to cause hassle with childcare, and with me only being supply I will loose out on quite a bit of wages as they wont cover all of my losses, its just a set daily fee.

Today will be spent mainly lazing around, helping dd2 with her lego (we are in the process of rebuilding the 8 sets that have all been broken up & mixed together over the last 2-3 years, as she is creating a lego village - its a nightmare, but getting easier with each set we complete, good job I kept all the instruction booklets safe!), watching the F1, and enjoying a nice roast dinner which dh has offered to cook!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

Don't be so hard on yourself , take a look at your signature you have managed to become debt free hard work no doubt but you have done it .

I second getting someone in to clear the ex's stuff that maybe the easiest and quickest way.

We are going to a big Christmas Craft Fayre later this morning, held in a local private school. I am told that there are always lovely things on offer, so bringing my purse with me.

Congratulations on the new job Nic - it sounds like it's going to be ideal for you.

Springdreams those tree decs are very sweet.

IrishRose, so sorry to hear about your unexpected heating catastrophe, hope it hasn't dented your holiday fund. Your present stash is impressive.

PrincessKitty, sorry you're going to miss the big dinner but hope Wiggle is better very soon and that you have a lovely holiday.

Free, I know how you feel with the night panics but please don't be too hard on yourself, you've come such a long way on all fronts and I agree that there's absolutely nothing wrong with having chilled weekends - I bet your family are all feeling the benefit. If you've had a long time of not being able to chill then just enjoy it now you can and don't feel guilty. I third the idea of getting someone in to clear ex's stuff, it's holding you back and getting you down so the quicker it goes the better. Maybe DS or someone else could be there when they come to clear it all away so you won't have to deal with them directly? I wish I lived near you, I love getting rid of stuff. :D

Whitesatin your Christmas craft fayre sounds lovely, hope you find lots to buy.

Terrible events in Paris, the world isn't a very nice place sometimes. I just don't understand how people can be so horrible to each other. So many families won't be having the Christmases they had planned. Could so easily have been any of us :(

Anyway, we've got honorary DD, DSIL and DGD (plus new puppy) coming today so I'm doing a roast dinner - going to use it as a practice run for Christmas although will have twice as many people then. It tells you something about my use of the kitchen that although we've been here over 8 years now I still have to consult the instruction book for the cooker everytime I want to use the fan oven! I've made a time plan which I will stick to rigidly and all being well nothing will get forgotten or not be cooked.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Can anyone who follows the thread on an ipad tell me how you keep track of the latest pages? On the laptop I just add the most recent page to my favourites and it overwrites the previous one I'd saved but it doesn't work like that on the ipad.

Oh I could have cried when we were told the price. Has made a bit of a dent in the holiday fund, but needs must. We'll just have to save extra or spend less when we get there.
Loved the perfume baubles too. May have bought a few extra last night online:whistle:

Christmas 24 is a very dangerous channel:eek: yet been a God send at the same time:rotfl:
Once I stop to watch something nothing else in this house gets done, yet I'm also able to sit the kids in front of the telly and get things done while they are engrossed in it lol. I've been surprised at how much my kids are watching them.
I'm staying away from that Channel today as I have too much to do :rotfl:
