Had another hospital appt today about my back. Been discharged as there is nothing more surgically they can do so it is just pain management now. Im glad I dont have to keep making the 40 min drive to hospital appts now.

Need to do some christmas wrapping to help feed the christmas feeling lol x0 -
The car failed its MOT but considering its 10 yrs old and that's the 1st time its failed I think its not too bad, it needed 2 new shock absorbers and new wiper blades.
The sofa is fixed again but I will be looking to replace it next year has anyone bought from Saxon before ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

had a busy day running errands so popped into a few shops I don't often get too
wilkos have a choc olaf £2 not as nice as the m&s one but more wallet friendly esp when hes going to be eaten anyway
picked up a couple of the £1 malteaser advent calendars from tesco so that's another thing sorted
Morrisons have bags of haribos 1/2 price 50p also picked up a couple of the individual jars jam for the food hamper I'm doing bargain at 35p compare to the sets you can buy.
got ds a xmas minions tshirt & picked up some character socks for the kids stockings in primark they seem to have a decent range at the moment with lots of character/comic stuff. They also had disney frozen/ cars choc coins.
the entertainer has some good offers on picked up a couple of playdoh type sets for £2/£4 each & a couple of xmas themes puzzles £1 each
M&S have various xmas treats 1/2 price including the revolving musical tin now £6 contains gingerbread penguins. It doesn't revolve as such just the inner lens making the images move but taz loves the waving penguin. They also had 3 for 2 on some of the smaller chocs including caramel filled xmas presents which I think I may get next time to put in the candy sleighs
also got a couple of presents sorted so can tick a few more people off my list
hope everyone's doing ok tc & catch up soonthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
mandco you must of read my mind as I was just going to ask if anybody knew what the biscuit offer was this week at M&S. Got an hour to spare after dropping dog at groomers tomorrow so am debating whether to do M&S or morrisons.0

I was up in Sheffield this week as that's where I'm doing my Masters and I got the chance to go around Meadowhall. I've got my Mums birthday present (end of the month) sorted and started getting some stocking bits done.
Still no idea on my Dad or brother in law. And very little idea on what to get my mum for Christmas£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
Evening everyone, i forgot to say earlier a local hotel caught fire last night, 12 fire engines were called out, no casualties and luckily most of the mansion is fine it was the newer exec part that was on fire but they lost at least 100 bedrooms, very sad for our village seeing the flames though and a lot of local people work there as well, dont know what will happen to their jobs!! On a positive note though not far from us a new Waitrose and JL store have opened today (apparently the biggest in england) so excited to go and have a walk round especially as i have a voucher to spend there
Oh blimey i started the cutlery holders tonight its official my sewing still sucks :rotfl:i have sewn two so far, will hopefully have them finished by the end of the weekend, but gawd knows what they will turn out like luckily its just our little famille for christmas and no one i have to impress!
CLUMSY ooh we have a dobbies just up the road, it is on my advent activity list to go there, glad you treated yourself
04624181 i hope they can sort out managing the pain for you, i need to seriously have a word with my dr soon as i can hardly get out of bed for aches and pains all over now not just my trapped nerve, i really dont like having to take strong painkillers every day!

I spent all day wrapping yesterday- my back was aching by the time I had finished. I'm amazed at what I have managed to buy over the year now its all in one mahoosive pile! problem is where to store it without the paper ripping. At 2 am I woke up and realised that I hadn't wrapped an aftershave I had brought for DS a few months ago, so have been awake pretty much since then trying to remember where I had put it! Luckliy I found it fairly quickly once I started turfing stuff out of my wardrobe when DH got up.
Off to Solihull with DD lil Sis and Mom to brave the o2 shop to get the light sabre keyrings. Im not too bothered if we don't get them as it gives me a reason to go out cus I have been feeling a bit of a hermit lately.
Glad to see everyone seems to be getting their Christmas fix ! Hugs to those that are having a difficult time, I think that we all invest so much emotionally into our Christmas preparations all year round that when it actually comes round we can be left feeling a little flat- at least I do some years.
Free- I know how you feel about sewing- I HATE it! Im sure your cutlery holders will look lovely on your Christmas dinner table x How is SW going btw?
Peppa- I can imagine that the news about your DH was a massive relief x
Chrissy -Ive never heard of Saxon before.
Mandco- those biscuit tins in M&S sound nice, they've gone up this year cus the past few years they have been £5. I brought the stag shortbread one last week cus it had miles more in than the admittedly unusual Santa tin, (I didn't really like it tbh). I might have to pop into M&S this morning to have a nosey at those tins tho cus they do sound lovely!
04624181- hope you manage to get your pain sorted soon x
take care everyone xxlovin' this site!

Another thing: I have a sister who's decided to be ambitious and work/live in South America. She'll not be home for Christmas :-( - does anyone have any idea where I might look for getting a small gift or two sent to her easily?0

Can you get something delivered directly to her from say, Amazon or something? If so you could go on Amazon and get some home bits like chocolate and sweets she likes sent over?
I think I keep forgetting that it's only November and not December! So I'm running around panicking about my Dad's present when I've still got time to sort it out. I need to take some time to breathe, haha :rotfl: you guys are so organised you're making me feel like I'm out of time! :rotfl:£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0
