Evening everyone, right two frogs eaten today, the flipping oven and the kitchen window :rotfl:actually i cheated and got DS to clean the kitchen window as it is right over the sink and i can hardly get near it and after laying on the dog bed to do the oven my trapped nerve wouldnt take it
Tomorrows tasks are to clean all the cupboard door fronts and check what is out of date in my cupboards so i know what i need for christmas baking and then i am going to start sewing my cutlery holders up, i have had to go on youtube for lessons in blanket stitch, i think the last time i did it i was in the brownies :rotfl:
MRSMONEYPENNY the mini stockings for your class are lovely, very cute
QUIDSY how flipping annoying, its so frustrating waiting for something that doesnt arrive
SENSIBLEJESS i really dont know but i would have thought they were on sale by now there is only a couple of weeks left until it starts, try ringing your local store to see if they have them in stock before making a special journey perhaps
04624181 omg so do i, i put it off and put it off until its so bad i have to do it, i usually do it in the run up to christmas before i start all my baking (how naughty is that??) i am going to try (it wont happen) to get some oven wipes that i can use after i use it each time (yeah right) i always have good intentions!! Oh dear none of these stores are doing themselves any favours by dishing out bad customer service and then having it put on a public forum!! Serves them right!! Its so frustrating trying to get them to listen and resolve the issue when they clearly arent interested
CLUMSY oh well done that is fab i bet you are so relieved :T:T make sure you do reward yourself

I'm still reading just not posting as much because I got a lovely new ipad for my birthday and I'm still getting the hang of it. I can read the thread on it but I can't log on to post at the mo because I stay logged in on my laptop all the time so can't remember my log in details! I must get around to doing the 'forgotten my password' thing but I need to get my emails set up on the laptop first lol. Must admit I find it a pain to fire up the laptop now the ipad is just sitting there waiting for me.
Had some great news this morning. DH had a 2 week wait referral from our GP to the breast clinic at the hospital and his appointment was this morning. They've taken a biopsy but are fairly certain it's a benign enlargement of breast tissue and not cancer. Huge relief doesn't really cover it :j
Hope everyone having problems with orders and things gets them sorted out very quickly. I went to Asda this afternoon to return some Christmas cushions (love them but won't really use them) and get my shopping and completely forgot to pick up the Minions beanbag I ordered on click and collect for DGS's birthday at the end of the month. Will need to do a separate trip now to pick it up. I think my sinus pain is causing my brain to seize up!It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Free - Thank you so much! I can't bear to listen to them myself, I know I'd cringe at the sound of my own voice!
Clumsy - Amazing job on the assignment, well done!
Oooft, I'm exhausted... but had my first mulled cider of the season earlier! Hooray!0 -
Hello, just popping at this late hour!
Getting There Quickly - Thanks for the heads up on the embroidery threads! I will take a look.
Freespirit 66 - I became a granny at quite a young age - bit of a shock! But I couldn't imagine life without my beautiful DGD's!
04624181- I stopped using A$da for my grocery deliveries. It was such a poor service! I had a washing up bowl substituted for a soup bowl!
Does anyone know how I can double up my Te$co clubcard vouchers? Do I do it online or can I do it in store? Thanks.
Also does anyone know when the Nectar double points are starting?
I called into A!di yesterday. I thought this year instead of gift bags I would use the reusable shopping bags, I think they are 38p and have slogans on the side. That way people have a shopping bag thrown in! They had completely sold out so quite disappointing!

PIXIEFAIRYDUST aww i am exactly the same, absolutely adore my DGS to bits, he just lights up my life. Omg sorry but that is absolutely hilarious about the washing up bowl and the soup bowl :rotfl:i only used them twice and both times they got something wrong! But as soon as i emailed them they did refund me, but it just doesnt work if you are doing an online order it means you dont want to have to go into store! I am sure you have to go into a tesco to double up (but could be wrong) i know the last time i did it they had special desks set up. I think sainsburys is currently on now but again i could be wrong#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
Evening everyone, seen a couple of houses with their decorations up. One of them must have about 50 light up snowmen in their front garden, so my boys always ask to drive past to look at them.
Done a bit more shopping the last couple of days. Although my boys do a list of main things they want which me and their Nan split, I seem to spend ages picking other stuff for them. Which usually results in a few trips to the shops without buying anything.
I did buy myself a new Christmas mug which says "i'm dreaming of a white Christmas but if that runs out I will drink the red" which is very apt for me as I love a glass or 2 of wine at the weekend when the boys are in bed!
I picked up a few rolls of 12 meters of xmas paper in B&M 99p each so a bargain. I put each boys presents in different colours so I don't have tag them. So it's easier to put their own pile out on Xmas eve.
Still have loads more to do yet but going have a wander round primark tomorrow and see if they have any nice Xmas pj's for the Xmas eve hampers.
44 days to go!:santa2:0 -
[QUOTE=freespirit66;69511742]Evening everyone, right two frogs eaten today
When I read that I thought OMG I would rather give up on meat  but in my defence it is stupid o clock and I'm wide awake [ish] for the 3rd night in a row I can't sleep .
My car is having its Mot at 9am and someone is coming out to repair the springs in my sofa around lunch time , if anyone is thinking of buying the "shout" patchwork sofa from DFS DON'T !! this is the second time in 18 months they have had to come out to repair it. It is without doubt the most uncomfortable sofa we have ever had.
Christmas wise nothing really happening we are planning to put the tree up the last weekend in November and hopefully we will have a day out [Black Friday] to Bransby horse sanctuary to let DD see Justice the horse she has adopted and so I can get my fix of lovely Donkeys.
If anyone is looking for something different to give a yearly adoption costs only £10. http://www.bransbyhorses.co.uk/adoption/adoption-online.htmlThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
