Feeling very festive today - been out and about again and got almost all of the bits I was missing, even popped into Primarni and got the gift cards for older grandchildren. I must say I was quite impressed by the coats and some of the other bits I passed on my way through the store so I may well go back next week with by birthday money and treat myself.

Have wrapped/bagged most of the pressies now. Have also more or less finished my 'post pal's' box of goodies. She's about 13 but has a development age of around 3 so I hope I've bought suitable things. I won't send them til the end of November but then I've still got the box and the packing to sort out.

Bought my cheap crackers today too - they've got really nice vintage-style pics on so fit in with my decs - so will spend an evening undoing them, taking out the rubbish toy and putting the Christmas scratchcards in and then carefully doing them up again. Still need to decide what to put in the ones for the 3 children that will be here for dinner though.

Still got absolutely no idea what to get DH so that's going to be my next challenge.

Looking forward to the JL advert but bet I miss it. Think it will be viewing online for me.

Hoping to call into Primark myself tomorrow. And I think you've just helped me sort someone out who is hard to buy for by mentioning a Gift card so cheers for that one :rotfl::beer:

Who's your Postpal? I've got 3 pals for my Elf project, and have 2 out of 3 bought and wrapped for. Just need something else for my teenager and I'll then have to find something to post them in. My plan is to send them out on the 30th November. Purely because I'm off work that day and means I can take a walk round the town afterwards lol. After that I'll be too busy with work and Christmas in general so works out well.

Bought some Frozen cracker kits in £land during the week, so bought 2 packs for the house, and 2 packs to make up for work. It will do for a "treat" every Friday. Hopefully will help keep kids calm lol. Also bought a pack of 12 Frozen crackers for £3 in B&M for my wee after schools club too so just need to start picking up a pack of sweets each week for their wee party bag.

    Sixth Anniversary
    Evening!

Just discovered I'm going to be on BBC Radio Coventry and Warwickshire on Saturday morning talking about my blog and all things hygge - turns out you Midlanders just love to be cosy ;)

I've surprised myself - I'm nearly done with my Christmas presents! Just little token things and stocking fillers to sort now. Going into town at the weekend, probably just to get a festive drink in a red cup from Starbucks and some window shopping.

Hope you've all had fun Bonfire Nights! It's been pretty wet here all evening, so not a lot going on in the sky...

    Morning all
Hope everyone is as well as can be
Kaya glad you got your appts sorted out and the original one back
Love the goldilocks Russian dolls, I have a pretty Set I must bring them down at Christmas instead of leaving them tucked away upstairs

Did a little bit more online shopping last night, and got part of ds1s 21st pressie sorted.
Think I've found the perfect Christmas/new home pressie for a friend but need to work out how to print of a poem from pintrest or find some nice paper and practice my neat handwriting and write it out. There's a lovely verse called 'the marriage box' I found all about marriage starting off empty like a box and you fill it with love trust companionship etc, and as long as you but in more than you take out the box/your marriage will always have these things in it. I found a lovely wooden embossed box yesterday so could put the words in for her. It doesn't sound too cheesy does it?

Busy most of the day do won't be able to pop in much, hope everyone has a lovely day

I don't think it sounds cheesy, it's a lovely idea! Perhaps if you're worried about your writing you could print it out? If you go to a site called dafont, there are thousands of beautiful fonts you can choose from!
