Thanks for that - my DD has an IPod but all her content is directly from ITunes ,but hoping to not spend I want to put my CD's onto mine also I'm not sure my music will be hip enough to actually be on ITunes.:rotfl:

Your music won't be on iTunes generally, so people who do not have access to your computer will not have access to your music - it will stay on only your computer but it is the way to transfer it from your computer onto your iPod.

It is your own music that you have saved onto your computer from your CDs that you import into iTunes. You are not buying any from the iTunes store. iTunes is simply an "app" or tool as it were that you use to move your music from one source to another. In this case from your computer to your iPod.

Chrissy what springdreams says is perfectly correct my DH has an iPod that is just loaded with CDs he owns, you just put them into your computer iTunes library then upload them into your iPod.
Foggy and icy here, so hope everyone stays safe and warm.

Morning. Feeling as if everything will be back to normal tomorrow, the kids go back to school and my OH is back to work.
The tree went down on Friday, so it's nice and tidy.

I plan to take the kids shopping today so they can spend their christms money. Havnt had a chance to go yet as I was working or it was bank holidays etc.

I plan to start this year with a positive look on finances. It's what gets me down all the time. I'm no better off, but need to manage it better. I have stupidly got in to trouble with EDf and owe them £800  it began when I cancelled my direct debit when they put it up. They were then meant to take a new amount but they didn't. And it snowballed. Before going forward I plan to go to the citizens advice bureau for advice.
I havnt told my OH about the debt :o he pays the rent and some other bills and I pay the utilities and council tax. He will kill me if I tell him ive let it get so bad.
Hopefully the CAB can advise me how to go forward.

  • nic - please don't leave it any longer before sorting it. Hopefully you will feel much better once you have taken steps in getting it sorted. Good luck.

  • Hi all. New year new start. Except I'm due back in work tomorrow and I'm full of cold! Dosing up on paracetamol and hot drinks. I've not been sales shopping I've found a slimming world on a Saturday morning as my resolve goes st the weekend and I've paid for a countdown. The decorations are down and I've a million resolutions to attempt and fail in equal parts!

Can't wait to follow you all to xmas 2015 what is it only 355 ish days to go !!!

i just want to say relax... talk to edf and they can sort a payment plan you can afford. i'm sure your dh will understand if you talk to him. 800 is nothing in the grand scheme of things (when i left my first dh he was in debt nearly 12k i didnt know about.. not to mention him increasing the mortgage without me knowing... on gambling debt) 3k was in my name but this isn't about me.

you've admitted its there now to deal with it in an affordable way... i think i read somewhere the energy companies usually chase up debt over 500.. might be wrong so youre not too far over ... they will just want something extra back a month.. worst comes to the worse they will put a payment metre in.

be kind to your self.. money isn't worth the stress...

we picked up the Hobby craft order and a few extra bits today.

If you have a Bargain buy shop near you they have all of their Christmas stock reduced, I bought 4ft inflatable Santa + snowman for outside for £7-50 each. I also picked up Christmas themed paper plates/bowls and cup cake cases all reduced to 50p a pack.

I woke up this morning thinking "oh god work tomorrow" but then remembered my hours have changed and I'm not in until Saturday :D:D:D

NIC oh my lovely, you must be worried sick, i agree with the others sort out a comfortable amount to pay back per month with edf or get the citizens advice to help you out, im sure they will contact edf and help you on your behalf, then i would let OH know otherwise it will fester and make you ill, just say what you have said to us that it just snowballed you didnt do it on purpose im sure he will understand, and im sure you will feel a lot better getting it off your chest, sending you hugs x

Hugs nic, sounds like you've had lots of good advice on here already, I'd follow that I hope things get sorted and a sensible payment plan is found for you.
Busy today as I'm going to a 1st aid refresher at work, then start back properly tomorrow.
