Over 250 posts already and we've barely started the year! :)

Nic Tell your OH about the debt as it is important that he knows. He will probably be angry  but if you can sort out a manageable repayment plan with the help of the CAB then at least you can tell him that you are dealing with it.

Fiesty Hope that your DH manages to get through on the phone and gets some answers. The benefits system is a minefield. :(

Hugs to anyone who needs one ... :grouphug: might be dodgy but they are free :D

Newthrift That's great news re your preferred date! :T

Thanks ladies, I have an appointment with the CAB on wed. I usually sort these things out myself, but the payments for G&E was already £110 a month, so with the repayments on top, I will struggle. I haven't told my OH as he has a lot on at the moment. He has just had to leave a well paid job and take a wage cut by almost half. Long story I can't really put on here. He is lucky to still have a job though.

I can't get a prepayment meter in. It's a rented property and my landlady is always here for various things, she would have a hairy fit if I got a meter in.

Hugs Fiesty, as Chrissy said, he should go into the support group if not already in it. If not allowed to work would he not get DLA? X

  • nic good luck at the CAB, i'm sure they'll be able to help you and reassure you. It's surprising how easy it is to get into a pickle nowadays with charges etc.

newthrift yay that the church is free on your date! I remember we booked our venue (had to do it 15 months in advance!!) and then realised it was Easter Saturday, so I was really worried the church might say no as it's a busy weekend for them but luckily it was fine. Phew!

I took all of our decorations down yesterday except the tree, i'll do that this afternoon. As we had a real (giant) tree this year i'm not quite sure how we get it out the door?? We have double patio doors in the kitchen leading to the garden but we've got to get it out of the living room first!

Well, it felt a bit weird but have wrapped the pressies up I've bought for next year before putting them away!! Stocking pressies have coloured stickers on them so I'll know which is which!
Jan is a busy (expensive) family birthday month too so trying to get that all organised.
Still working on holiday time and don't want to leave the comfort of my duvet.

I leave my stockings out and fill them as I go. That way I know how full they are. x

lazysheep thank you, I will try and pop in to pick a jar up if any are left!!

Well the weather is awful here. Very grey and foggy plus it is throwing it down with rain!!!!!!! Really drumming on top of the roof at work, it really does sound horrendous.
Not much to report here Christmas wise, I really need to sit and have a think about what hampers I am doing plus check on the birthday gifts and then check out what is there online in sales/when we go shopping.

Hi all, still haven't got this subscribing sorted, but l will persevere. (l mean, l did it last year, didn't l?).
    Sorr
y your DH has strife from the benefits system, hope it gets sorted, Feisty, My son has a face to face interview on Wednesday for migrating from IB to ESA, and his friend has one on Friday. (is it coincidence that this is the county that is trialling the run out of universal credit? and IDS has said everyone will get a face to face?). After all, muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy don't get better, ever! grrr.
Ah well, now, all decs down and most put away, 3 presents for next time bought already, cards and wrap sorted, but not gift tags.
I had a lovely time with the grandnibs but they are back in China now, and hopes of them returning to live here in the summer are dashed, it isn't happening. (sad face smiley). Thank goodness for Skype.
Fave cous is coming for coffee and maybe a trip to the next town hugs to everyone whether you need them or not, and off l go to boil the kettle. xx

If anyone needs wrapping paper Poundworld have a sale 8mtr rolls for 50p , I need paper like a need a hole in the head but I just couldn't resist.:D

My DD has been asked to take part in an interview process for a new member of the CAMHS team. She will go by taxi next week and gets to ask the potential new staff questions then she will be asked how she felt they dealt with her. Not only does she get door to door taxi but also £6 an hour [about 3-4 hrs in total].

I have ordered her birthday paper so if its here by then I will take the opportunity to wrap her gifts and see exactly what I have for her.
