Welcome back weeclick - good to see you again! It sounds like you've got exciting times ahead with your new partner, fingers crossed for the new place.
msgigglewick LOVE the elf costume - you are really talented!
I managed to pick up another Christmas present today, a pair of 'best uncle ever' socks for my brother from Wiggle.0 -
Welcome to the Christmas club Pookle.
Weeclick – niceto hear from you again and wow you’ve had a pretty eventful time lately. Hope everything goes well for the newrelationship and the new home.
Hope your parcel turns up Moneymission. It’s soannoying when that happens – how are you supposed to know what’s going on ifthere’s nothing on the delivery card. What is worse is when you get an email telling you your parcel has beendelivered and you know full well that it hasn’t!
Cherry, I do hope we're going to get a pic of the sprout once you've mastered it! I'd rather unwrap one than eat one any day.:D
Hope Wiggle settles down soon PrincessKitty, it’s one side of little ones that I don’t miss lol. Yes, I remember ‘Let it Snow’ – I still popon and have a look sometimes just for old times sake (and the good ideas ofcourse).
Loving those shower curtains Springdreams but I’m like you, we have a shower cubicle – no curtainneeded. I have ordered a new quilt coverfrom Amazon though – it’s a red plaid one so I’m hoping it will feel both cosyand festive.
Yay Freespirit –well done on contacting the gas company – bet you find your bills less with thenew meter and it’ll be so much easier to change suppliers too if you want to(so many of the good prices don’t apply to pre-payment meters).
Vulpix I usethose window clings on the windows at Christmas, I’ve had mine for about 6years now and it’s only this year that I’ll have to buy new ones.
Feisty, yourbedroom sounds inspired – can you post pics when you’re finished? I tend to go for cream in various creamyshades throughout the house but you’re right, why should a bedroom be lightwhen you need to chill out and sleep in it?
MrsG - love theknitted elf outfit for the BAB reindeer, would look good on DD’s little doglol.
Nothing Christmassy going on at mo but it’s DH’s birthdaytoday so I’m doing a sort of lunch come afternoon tea thing tomorrow for thefamily. They’ve all clubbed together tobuy him something – I know it’s to do with getting Apple TV and there wassomething about itunes as well but other than that it’s a mystery. Whatever it is I hope DD gets it all set upand shows him how to use it lol.

Was in Primarni at 9 this morning, picked up a pair of shoes, boots, some slippers & a jumper. They now are starting to get their Christmas stock in, looking good, got some cute jumpers for little girls.
Nipped in to Poundworld on way bank to car and got some Pringles! 3 for £ for the small snack packs, bargain for hampers if anyone is looking for something like that. Long expiry date, so could go into treat store.
I had to get some inline skates for one of the littlies in Egypt. She was desperate for a pair for her birthday which is next week, but she is such a tiny little thing, they couldn't find a pair small enough for her, managed to get a pink pair for £15, sent them with my uncle last week, with strict instructions not to let her see them. Love him to bits, but sadly had an accident over 20 years ago, and has some slight brain damage. He is 95% ok, but that 5% is painful to us at times, can really sympathise with any family dealing with a brain injury. Anyway, she has the skates! Loves them as does her brother, but pink is not really de rigeur for a boy, so had to get a blue pair for him. Cousins going ther on Sunday, so as they are taking the skates, I had to offer to take them to Heathrow, at least it is not having to be there at 6:45am!
Watched the rugby last night, hope it is not an indication of the tournament to come, but hey, we're playing at 2:30 today, that should through some life into it :rotfl:A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Well I've only made one (very important!) Christmas purchase this year - about a month ago I was in Clintons getting some bits for my friends hen do when I spotted a stuffed Santa toy and musical reindeer/penguin scene. My Nana who passed away last year was a massive fan of the musical toys; always had a good dozen scattered around her small flat so I bought that for £3.50 (reduced from £15) so she can still be around for Christmas. The Santa was £4 reduced from £16 I think. Every year for the past 6 or so years my mum and I have bought my Dad a stuffed christmas animal so that's his pre-Christmas christmas gift sorted!
Feeling - again, felt the same last year - very meh about Christmas. I know it's only September but this year again it's just me... and it'll be my parents and my sister/brother in law on Christmas day. So I only really have those four to buy anything for. My Dad's present from last year is still sat in our garage gathering dust. My Mum is happy with a jumper and my brother in law will get a book of some kind... I can't really garner much enthusiasm for shopping like that. I can't wait to have a little family of my own to go mad with
I am planning to do some charity stuff this year though, which I left too late last year, it's just trying to find something to do. I'd like to do some shoebox appeals or something - any ideas?£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0
