Thanks. I'm pinning my hope on the Amazon deals. I doubt they'll be much money off but there might be a good bundle offer at least.0 -
Welcome Pookle.
So I tried to make my Christmas sprout last night and...........failedI just couldn't make it round, I added paper shredding to some layers to try and pad it out but this sprout wanted to be square.
If anyone else tries and succeeds, please let me know.
Regarding meal planning this year, I'm vegetarian for the first Chrstmas in 10 years so that should be interesting as the OH is a meat eater and isn't a massive fan of veg or none meat dishes so will have to make
different things for both of us. Any suggestions would be great. I have got some old magazines with recipes in so might be able to think of something.0 -

I'm vegetarian tooMy aunt makes this every year but instead of making it into a roulade she just makes it into a big pie using filo pastry, it's absolutely delicious and I'd definitely recommend it

Cherry24 - I am not in the slightest bit good with arts and crafts, so wouldn't have the faintest idea where to start, but this came up on my fb feed earlier. I don't know if there's any info in it that would help with getting the sprout to be more round?

Hi everyone - been reading but haven't had much chance to reply to anyone.
first off - welcome to all the newbies (waves) hope you enjoy keeping up with the thread - everyone is so welcoming here and its always great to have more people to share ideas with.
Don't have much chance today to pick individuals so hugs to all that need them.
Just wanted to pop on and say that Ge*rge at Asda has a single at £10, double at £12 and king size £14 duvet set with photos of dogs on them if anyone is interested. Just bought one for myself from hubby for xmas (of course). Thought it might be good for anyone who is dog obsessed like me lol
and not sure if anyone has missed it but will say anyway the radio times 12 issues offer of £1 is still on - I believe it should take you up to the xmas edition. don't forget topcashback or quidco.
talk soon - loving reading all the Christmas prep really gets me in the mood for Christmas.

Hi all - me again jumping back in ready to think about Christmas! What a year Ive had, fianc! ended things, Ive moved back to Ireland, got into a new relationship and now just about to find out this weekend if we have been accepted for our first home together! So only really just in the mood to consider Christmas and with the hope of a new home round the corner its all I can think about! (Bit mad asking the landlord wheres the sockets to plug in the Christmas tree lol!! but believe me it was my first question!!)
Well Im gonna get fully stuck in to reading the thread and catching upLife is what you make it.0 -
I was reminding everybody in work yesterday that there are only 100 days left, they all think I'm Christmas obsessed anyway and then I had 2 deliveries come to the office and I told them they were Christmas shopping :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm loving my parcels being delivered every week. It feels like I'm getting a present, even though I'm not. Half the time I forget what exactly I ordered so it's great opening up the parcels and being reminded of what I've got for people. I've had some freebies too from some of my orders where I've spent over x amount so had a free gift. I've put some aside for my daughter but I've kept the stuff I know she won't use, so really I have had a few pressies myself to :j
I'm annoyed with my order from The Works. I ordered 20 books, 1 has turned up so far and the other 19 were being delivered together. I had an email last week to say they were on their way and when I got home I had a card posted through the door, but it had no contact details at all on it and they've made no further attempts to deliver. So I've emailed them now to ask what's going on. The thing is if the card had a number or something for me to contact I would have called them and rearranged the delivery. I always get a bit paranoid too because you hear all these stories where the couriers steal people's parcels, signing the delivery with a fake signature and then people have a nightmare proving they have not received the item. I bet it doesn't happen as much as I think though :rotfl:

Hi Smoosh,
Thanks for the recipe, it looks great and I really like the idea of making it into a pie too.
Spendless - Thanks for the link. Those little pumpkins are really cute. Pretty sure I'm going to do these for Halloween as they are so simple but look great.
I think my Christmas sprout problem relates to me not using something round enough in the middle. It has many layers and was already looking a bit square after the first few.
Moneymission - that's annoying regarding the parcels. Hope it gets sorted soon.
Weeclick - Fingers crossed for the house0 -

It happened to me! Thankfully not on my own stuff but some things I ordered at work - it was City Link, robbing gits!0
