  • Evening everyone, you will laugh but i had an hour sitting in my DD1s car while she walked the dog round our local roman ruins today, i just read and relaxed, was desperate for fresh air as had cabin fever from this ibs episode, and after i felt so chilled, i think it was just getting out the house and not thinking about anything! :)

MONEYMISSION omg that is awful, your poor DD she must have been in so much pain, what gave the stupid woman the right to decide???? thank god that dr heard it all, and i wonder how many people have had that happen to them when it really is something serious  Have you opened your box yet? :) Did you know we have a group christmas board on Pinterest, it is called Elfilicious, join us if you would like to

Doesn't it just make you mad! We were very lucky but I imagine that happened to quite a few people as the receptionist was a dragon. Luckily we haven't lived in that area for a few years now & are registered with a slightly better surgery.

Ooh, I will definitely join that group. I love anything Christmassy and can be slightly obsessed with Pinterest sometimes.

Its nice that you managed to get out, even if you were sat down reading a book, at least you were able to get out of the house. A change of scenery and some fresh air does the world of good, especially when you get chance to take your mind off things. I hope you get to do it again soon.

I did get round to checking out what I'd bought. I'm really pleased with it all and have now listed it all & put them away safely. One of the things I did buy which I intend to give to my sister is so lovely, I wish I'd got one for myself too. Its a small ceramic jug, about the size of a mug and a half, and the print is a blue paisley print. Its beautiful and I wish I'd ordered 2 now so I could have kept one for myself. It was £19.95 down to £3.95!! So I might see if they have any left and order one for myself, then give it to my OH so he can wrap it for me for Christmas :rotfl:.
  • Does anyone know know where I can get a picture (which I can copy) of a boy leaving with a stick & polka dot hanky containing all his possessions? I'm compiling a little photo album of different memories for someone leaving the area, & had a dream that he was walking down the street with the hanky! Thought I could add that as the last entry

    Hello all,
Only 5 months to Christmas and I'm dying to start preparing. I bought cards and wrapping paper etc in the sales but have resisted shopping since then as we needed to be as clutter free as possible. We put our house on the market in the Autumn and had no problem selling it.... 3 times! We have had 6 different chains so far. Buyers at the bottom of the chain pulled out at the very last minute most recently. Our current buyers have just had the surveyors in and we're awaiting the report back. This was more thorough than previous valuations. Anyway, thats the reason I haven't been around. Hope you're all well xx
    Happy 6 week hols :)

Good luck lovely! We were so worried that our chain was going to fall apart if we didn't break it that we had to proceed with our flat sale and are now living with the in laws  We still have no exchange or transfer date for the house we are buying and we are beginning to get rather annoyed! We were supposed to be in by July

    Evening everyone,

PRINCESSKITTY oh how lovely to see you back on today, hope you are enjoying your time with DH and Wiggle, wow nearly a year, hasnt it gone so quick, i love that he wants to walk everywhere holding your hands, Thumper is the same about moving, he is now almost 9 months but he doesnt crawl either, he can roll from one side of the room to the other and desperately tries to get one knee up ready for the off but doesnt quite get there, he just loves being on his feet too, has done from early, in fact i was a bit worried and didnt think DD2 should let him but he is just so happy when he is standing, but they all go at their own rate and like i said to DD2 no baby is the same, he will do it in his own time

MRSMONEYPENNY i was expecting you to say you had bought DGS first christmas bauble there :)

MRSINVISIBLE yayy yayy yayy :T:T:T:T so so glad for you, you deserve it.

MONEYMISSION oh no quickly order one for yourself otherwise they will all go :D it sounds lovely

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY did you find anything? I will keep a lookout for you

That's great news Mrs I, I'm so pleased for you. :j
Thanks for the explanation GTQ - I must have been having a serious senior moment there. I too will be keeping an eye out for a suitable pic for you. :)

Welcome back DomRavioli. (please imagine waving smilie)

Haha Freespirit - of course I knew you wouldn't want to take it further :rotfl:but if you need to see someone you follow the example of your children. It's just a shame that you have to play the system to get attention

PrincessKitty I can't believe it's a whole year since you had Wiggle, it's gone so quickly. My DGS who is three now and a real demon on his bike and his scooter hardly crawled at all. He did a brief bum-shuffle and DD was desperate for him to start crawling but he never did really - he just went straight to walking. Now he's a real speed demon so be careful what you wish for lol. ;)

Thanks for the reminder Lazysheep, I was thinking it would be 25th so would have missed it! :o
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • Thanks Free & Peppa, not found anything yet, so if you find anything, that would be fab. I have bought a disc with 320,000(!) pictures, just need to see if I can find the needle in the haystack

mrsinvisible yay for China! I hope you have a wonderful time! Good luck trying to be sensible. ;)

Freespirit ahh bless little Thumper! Wiggle was very lazy and hasn't even done the rolling about! He's only just started rolling onto is tummy! I had a little period of time where I was worried as all the other babies around him were doing everything, but you are right in that ever baby is different and do things in their own time.

Peppapig ha ha, I bet we will be chasing him all over the place!

Actually, he took his first steps on his own yesterday! It was very exciting!! I wasn't expecting it at all, he was stood at his activity table then just turned around and stepped towards me! It'll still be a while before he's walking on his own but it's a start. :)

Thanks for the QVC heads up lazysheep, I totally forgot about that. Now I have to negotiate with Wiggle to give me 5 mins to watch it... :p

It's been raining all day here, I haven't minded too much as we've had such good weather lately and it's good to clear the air. As long as we don't have a prolonged period of rain! I've been trying to get fit again and have been doing a couch to 5k jogging plan and today was a training day, I didn't want to go out but I made myself and i'm so glad I did, I feel quite invigorated now!
