    Hi all :)

Thanks for the good luck wishes - still no word from the EA - they really are idiots so we're giving up and looking with another EA who doesn't take weeks to get back to you about a viewing.

Had an appointment with the health people this week and should hear back Tuesday with regards to new medication seen as I haven't been out of the house for over a month (pain and severe anxiety...not a good mix), but not holding out much hope for that either as the NHS have a habit of dragging their heels, so may have to call in some favours from the old boss.

Couple more bits arrived today, the bookmarks from amazon which were under £1.50 each and they are boxed as well, so super easy to wrap.
I have a trip with the youth club I run in August to Flamingo Land but I'm not sure if I can get there; thankfully my OH has stepped in just in case but I'm not looking forward to sitting here all day whilst they go have fun :(

Hugs to all that need them, and kicks up the bum to all those behind (me included!). I better get the housework started, I've had a bit of a lazy day today.

Can't risk a long post but I am reading whenever I have connectivity and hope to be back very soon or I'll never keep track of everything!!!

    Hello!

I was on last year's board, but I've been resisting this year's until today - it's my Christmas-obsessed mum's birthday today, and 25th July marks five months until Christmas, so I'm coming back on my very own Christmas in July ;)

A few festive things to report from me:

-My mum loves collecting decorations from around the world, and always asks if we can bring her back a decoration whenever my brother or I go travelling instead of a rubbish souvenir. I went to Toronto in March, and there's a Christmas shop in the little town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, so I picked up a few decorations in the sale which I've stashed away as a surprise for...
-... my hamper! Last year I made a December hamper for my family, which I gave them on 1st December. I'm doing the same again this year, and have been picking little things up each month so I'm not hit with the extra expense in November. There are lots of lovely reduced things on Notonthehighstreet.com, including this little gingerbread playhouse - I wish I had children to buy for! I've also fallen madly in love with these personalised grow-your-own Christmas tree sets, especially as they're so cheap, and will definitely snap a couple up on payday.
-I just found The Grinch on one of the obscure channels, so am shamelessly watching along. I know nobody will judge me here ;)
-I baked some bread the other day which was surprisingly easy, and it's so rich and unusual I thought it would make an ideal Christmas treat. It's treacle and stout bread, and it tastes amazing just with a smidgen of butter, but I bet it'd be great as part of a festive cheeseboard spread too :)

Sorry for the long absence - I'm back in the game now, and looking forward to reading about all your festive preparations in the coming months!

Thank you for this. I have been trying to think of lots of fun Christmassy things to do on the run up to Christmas with the family, so saw your post and have now booked tickets for the ice skating and the magic ice kingdom. I have provisionally booked a hotel for 2 nights for the weekend that I have booked, but this could change to just 1 night depending on other plans. Ooooh, I'm excited now. Is it November yet??

I was going to keep it a secret but I think I will have to let OH know so that he doesn't arrange anything himself.

Hello! Not sure if you're still looking for fun festive activities but I've been looking at the Christmas at Kew Gardens evenings - never been before but I think this will be the year I'll make it! It looks so pretty, illuminated trails through the gardens with traditional rides and displays, and the intriguing 'holly bush choir' - aww!
