Mojo I hope you have a wonderful time! We visited the spa their at Christmas and it was amazing, fake snow everywhere! We've stayed at the Parc before early summer and although we loved it, we sadly decided not to return as felt that the cost was not worth it. It's very pricey and the only free activities are walks and the pool (which is wonderful but heaving!) The lodges do have a log fire though so you will be able to make some amazing memories together
why not have a peek on here and see if there are any frugal tips For making the most of your stay there?
I'm still in hospital, there was talk of me going home Tuesday but I keep puffing up with fluid which means they have to keep my stomach drain In, so now I'm not too sure what they will decide. The bed rest isn't exactly a bad thing though!2024 Challenges

Feisty Get well soonA good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Mojo how exciting going over the Christmas period! My brother and sister-in-law have taken our two year old nephew to the Woburn Centre Parcs quite a few times now and they love it. I've heard it is quite pricey but worth it to make some magical memories. I've always quite liked the idea of staying somewhere over Christmas, as long as it isn't hot! I couldn't go to a hot country over Christmas it wouldn't feel right!
pixtotts glad you enjoyed the wedding and that your placecards went down well, it was all worth it in the end!
feisty so sorry to hear you're still in hospital, but as you say at least it is forcing you to rest! I hope you recover fully soon though. x
I'm not sure what the weather is going to be like today, but there is a fun day at a local hotel so might pop along to that for an hour or so. Then I really should do some housework!0 -
morning all, Feisty, how truly horrible for you, hope you get better very quickly.
Sorry for being absent again, (mrs l goes and sits on the naughty stair).
l have missed birthdays, cakes, lurgies, returning posters, and lots of other things, sorry, hugs, congratulations and glad you are back to all . Whinfell Forest is our local centre parcs, MJW, and l know the staff put a lot of effort into Christmas /new year.
DD got to the hospital appointment but the consultant said he couldn't help, as the problem was being caused by her muscle disease, so at least we know now, and can make the best of it.
She still isn't driving as it is too painful, so we are seeing a lot of each other as l am taxi service at the moment. No problem there, tho.
My iron went to 'bang' yesterday, so l can't finish that task......oh, dear me, how dreadful! (not) so l'd better go and do some work in the garden as a forfeit.0 -
Hello
It's been so long since I've been on I forget my user name !!!
I'm sorry for going AWOL for months but it has just been crazy here. I have no hope of ever catching up. But I hope everyone is well.
DD has just finished taking her AS exams, and now has 2 weeks off before going back to start year 13. We have booked to look round 3 uni's this summer.
DS is just DS,nothing changes there.
Fingers is getter funnier by the day. He can now name all the dinosaurs and get annoyed if you get one wrong. Lol
I'm hoping not to leave it this long again before posting but life seems to have a habit of getting in my way. xxx0 -
OMO I'm so glad you're well!
I'm dying to hear about the caravan??
Now we just need Nana back, hugs and kisses if you're still reading Nana xoxo2024 Challenges

After a lot of deliberation we decided against a caravan. DD will be off to uni next and DS often gets work at the weekends. So we have decided to put the money towards a trip to Disney Land Paris for a week. We won't be going until 2017 as Fingers will be 4 then and enjoy it more than he would now aged 2. We are going to stay in one of the better hotels and not scrimp on anything. Although I have chosen to drive over as the train would cost around £800.
When everyone has gone and left me I might consider getting a small 2 berth for me and Fingers to go exploring x0 -
feisty hope you feel better soon sorry you've had auch a rough time but sure the bed rest is helping.

OMO helloooooo, good to have you back. Disney Paris sounds wonderful. Freespirit, hope the IBS settles down Next time, freeze the dam bread and serve it in ok portions.xx
Pixtots, your skills are remarkable, that's another one for your repertoire.
Feisty, get well and get home soon.
No, Freespirit, DD was quite resigned to the outcome, but is seeing her GP today.
My exciting news is..... l bought a new iron. (rounds of applause and shouts of 'Bravo' please).Oh, and l bought a car too, as DS1 has to give back the motability one next week, and will inherit my old one, the things we do for family, eh?
l have started potting up the summer baskets and troughs, so 2 of my neighbours have dropped theirs off too as l always grow too many.0
