Evening everyone, tonight 6.30 was wine o'clock thats all im saying :D (its very rare for me to open a bottle of wine but goodness it was needed) :D

PRINCESSKITTY dont put yourself down my lovely that grass looked fab! DD2 has quite a bit of AL so they are letting her take one day a week til October as AL, because they cant put her job to part time/reduced hours/workfromhome etc. She is a trainee accountant for a posh car manufacturer, and still has another year of exams just for the first part to be completed, and if she decided to leave she would have to pay all her exam fees, course fees back as well. Well done on another couple of christmas presents completed, and i hope you feel better soon and that Wiggle doesnt catch it

FEISTY oh how rotten for you!! i hope everything is ok now and you can get back home as soon as possible, hopefully you have also had the rest you needed, sending hugs x

MRSMONEYPENNY aah you lovely lady, i bet it made your colleagues week!

    OPEE eeekkk! celebration chocolates already!!

Freespirit hope you enjoyed the wine. must be tough for dd not having the choice on going back full time or not, good of her company to allow her use her AL on a weekly basis to give her a little more time though.

Opee yes the oh would def be sitting on the floor here too why is it they mean well but never think it through

Fiesty sorry things haven't been good but hope they've manged to get things under control and your feeling better & back home soon

Princesskitty lots of the lurgy going around at the mo my boys seem to be passing it back and forth lately :( hope your feeling better soon

asda are doing a 50% off selected toys with code offer a few decent bits in there got taz the leapband watch thing http://direct.asda.com/Leapfrog-Leapband-Activity-Tracker---Blue/000700529,default,pd.html?cgid=D25M8G1C6
not that he needs any encouragement to get active but hes seen it advertised alot on tv lately and keeps asking for one so figured at 1/2 price its not a huge deal if it ends up being a five minute wonder.
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

msgigglewick I also can't wait for the Minion movie to come out! :p My brother is nearly 40 and is always shouting 'BANANA!'

feisty I am so sorry to hear you are having these troubles. I had a quick look too as I wasn't sure what it was and it sounds really unpleasant, I do hope you are through the worst of it now. I hope you can get home soon and be with your DH, I know you worry about him! It will also be nice for you to relax. I hope you can move on from this soon and stay positive for the future. Sending you lots of hugs. xx

Opee glad you now have another chair to sit in! Blimey can't believe there's Celebrations chocs around already! I love that your friend sent you a pic, they know you so well. :p

freespirit oh dear, you know it's a trying day when a bottle of wine gets cracked open! It's a great profession your DD is getting into, a lot of companies are happy to pay as long as you stay with them. Hopefully it will pay off in the long run and it's good that they're letting her take a day off a week using her annual leave. Although I must say, how does she do it?? Sometimes I feel a bit inadequate because I hear of all these mums off doing things and I just think 'blimey I don't have the brainpower or time at the moment!' I cannot imagine having to sit any exams right now, good for your DD.

I sorted through my recipe folders yesterday (full of recipes ripped out of magazines) and got rid of loads ready for a new lot to go in. I've decided to tweak my New Year's resolution to say 'cook one new recipe a week' rather than saying it had to be from my books as I have recipes all over the place! I'm still quite behind but feel I can catch up by the end of the year.

I did it I booked centre parcs. I am a bit worried as it was expensive but dd is 10. Tike is going so fast and I just want to create some lovely memories as time is passing so fast. Rewind at least 4 threads when I discovered elves on here and how amazed she was when they first arrived she was so young. Now has anyone been for xmas and what tips do you have x x x

Which one are you going to Mojo? I'm sure someone on here went for Christmas but no idea who or if it was someone who isn't posting at the mo. Anyway, I'm sure they said it was really good. I know people who've been at other times and they really rate it - I'm sure they'll pull out all the stops at Christmas too. I've been to the spa at the one at Woburn Forest as it's just up the road from me but never actually stayed at one of the Parcs, always been too expensive lol.

Hi peppa its whinfell forest. It is really expensive for us. There is a million other things we could spend the money on. Its just last year my sister promised they were coming and let us down. We did make rhe best of it but it wasn't easy. It took me a lot not to kick off as one of the kids was "sick" and she posted pictures on Facebook of all the things they did over Christmas. The funniest was she'd told me she'd been a and e all xmas eve. The only a and e in the country with a barbers as he'd clearly had a hair cut when she posted photos that evening. I want this to be the final magical one before all the sceptiscm comes.

Oh Mojo, it's so horrible when people do that and even worse when it's someone who shouldn't let you down. Well, it was their loss and I bet you'll have a fabulous time this year - plus when they say about getting together over the holiday you'll be able to say you've got a prior engagement lol.

The wedding was yesterday and it was beautiful, I'm not a believer in weddings, religion, marriages, but it was really lovely. It was a nice small wedding only 50 day guests, so mostly family, just a few friends, and totally won me over, it was just so nice. I can't believe it is all over, and so many people complimented my place cards which was really lovely :)
