Pinch punch first of the month.
What a miserable day for a June day, the rain is coming down here and its grey which means my washing is all hung up inside!!
JuniorJ - Sending you big hugs and hoping they get you sorted soon.
I spent Saturday shopping in Harrogate with my FMIL whilst OH and FFIL went round a truck trade show. It wasn't very MSE I won't lie but I have got a few beautiful timeless pieces. I am currently trying to build a classic minamilist(ish) wardrobe. I did start thinking more about Christmas gifts but am yet to make a proper list.

JJ - glad to see you posting again but sad to hear you've back in hospital for so long, was hoping you were quiet because you were busy with uni work. Better to defer exams than not be at your best - I'm sure you'll do well when the time is right. I deferred my finals because I was in hospital but for me it was elective surgery and I could have postponed it but I'd rather have the op than take the exam lol. Hope you're soon back home. xxx
Ha ha Mojo, don't worry I knew you were joking lol. :rotfl:
Hope you're ok Freespirit. Missing your posts.
So quiet on here still - still, nearly time for Christmas in July on QVC. Hope it's better than last year.:)It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Hi everyone, finally have the energy/spirits to get back on, i have been so ill, am still in pain now 10 days on
but it has lessened in the last couple of days, i dont know what the heck is going on, nor does the doctor!! I have 2 weeks and if the pain is still there then i have to go back, i have to have an ultrasound scan on a lump to see if it is a hernia or not, but good news my blood pressure was ok (how i dont know i nearly burst into tears and did a runner in the waiting room) but i just kept telling myself you have got here just see it through
so all in all not a good time, lots of love and hugs to all poorlies and all feeling good atm, will try and catch up, speak soon! Missed you all xxx

Oh free, I know you must have been bad if you went to the doctors! I really hope you are feeling better now my lovely. Great big hugs!
JJ so sorry to hear you've been in hospital again for so long, we were starting to worry that you hadn't been posting. As others have said, it's better to defer until you're feeling up to it!
OMO a disneyland trip sounds amazingIt's a memory I am sure fingers will have forever. A wee caravan sounds adorable and I am sure you will have one of your very own one day!
I am finally out of hospital but sadly I've underestimated just how long it's going to take me to recover. Because my drain has been removed it means that a little more fluid has built up and got stuck, but I will just keep plodding on.
In other news we have just been advised that our sellers are considering dropping us because they feel the sale is taking too long! It's been 11 weeks since our offer was accepted and our solicitor has said all paper work is now in place so it shouldn't be long. It seems they have been whipped into a frenzy by their estate agent/solicitor and are convinced that we are dragging our heels. I'm now worried that our exchange for our flat is about to go ahead and we will be homeless, I best start looking at rented as a back up plan. We will have lost so much money over this if they drop us too2024 Challenges

Freespirit & JJ Sorry to read that that you have both been ill. Sending healing vibes your way and hope that you feel better soon.
FeistyFidget Hope that you manage to exchange soon!House buying/selling is so stressful you wonder why people do it so often!

Feisty, don't let it drop, make sure the other people know that you've been in hospital but that everything is in place and you're definitely pushing for speedy completion. If you don't do anything they'll think you're not bothered - they're probably just panicking in case it all falls through. Good luck! It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Thanks Peppa, they know I was in hospital because I was getting cross calls from housing association (it's shared ownership) whilst my lung had collapsed and I was on oxygen. I even told them that we had completed all paper work and done everything asked and that nothing was outstanding although I was currently in hospital and didn't appreciate their estate agent phoning my husband with abuse and then hanging up on him when my husband pointed out that he wasn't being very professional.
When I spoke to housing association yesterday I did ask them to pass on that we are as keen as them to exchange especially as the house matches all our medical requirements etc.
Housing association did say that they had never been in this situation before and weren't even sure if they could drop us at such a late stage (but we've previously been told by them that the current owners are entitled to choose whoever they like from the approved buyers list). I did send an email to housing association pointing out that it had only been 11 weeks and that it was unfair that we may lose out on the property just because the seller's have possible unrealistic time expectations on buying and selling (housing association also confirmed on the telephone it would be another 12 weeks before completion with new buyers).
Sorry for the long waffley post, it's just all a bit stressful2024 Challenges

OMO lovely to see you back posting
Nanamia I hope you are well if you do ever manage to read the boards.
Been really busy here I'm doing extra hours at work, and around that I'm doing lots of crafting, all things I've rather rashly promised or offere to do then I suddenly realise the amount of time it's taking an deadlines keep looming up.SPC~12 ot 124
