Monday morning ...again? is it just me, or are there more of these than there used to be? l don't want to brag, or to cause a jinx, but we have had 2 sunny days on the trot, is this summer?
Glad you had a lovely evening, mrs MP, and PrincessK what a treat, and what a bargain your afternoon tea. l must admit that it is my favourite treat, as l don't often eat 'tea' things.
Freespirit, glad the pain is getting less, obviously wine is the correct medication!! just increase the dose as needed!
Skype is happening today, as DGD fell asleep early yesterday, (exhausted after a (none shall) sleep over at her friends.)
Judging by the increased time DGS spent in the bathroom last night and this morning, l suspect he has discovered girls, ooooohhhh dear!!
Tomorrow my big bro. is putting a door in for my beauty therapist friend, and she is giving my DSIL a luxury manicure and a facial, as payment. on Wednesday l am taking a friend to hospital to get the results of her test on a breast lump, 60 mile round trip, hope my back lasts out. but it is important she goes and as her appointment is at 0900 and public transport wont get her there before 0930 .... the joys of living in the sticks eh?
Hope everyone has sunshine and happy day, xxx0 -
Feisty, good to see you, glad that all is quiet, hope you feel well, have a hug xxxx0

Sending big, warming, heartfelt hugs to all of you that are having a rough time at the moment!!!!
Not much to report in truthfully. I enjoyed my day of work last week which meant I got my wedding stuff sorted in the spare room and labelled up for ease when we set the marquee up. I am looking at making some of my own beauty products naturally with things like coconut oil ect as i'm fed up of using thing's with so many chemicals in. Body butter especially I use E45 for my eczema. Hopefully going more natural in diet and what I use will help more.
If they are good, I have thought about working out the costs and making some as gifts for Christmas for the mums and the other girls as they loved the homemade knits last year.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Fiesty sound like your under a lot of stress but do try and rest you've been through alot you need time to recover
still haven't managed anything xmassy and at this rate being 1/2 way through the yr already its going to end up a mad rush.
my dad starts chemo next wk they been hoping to avoid it but things have progressed to the point they don't have much choicewhich also means I have to find a way to tell the kids I do feel bad that I've been putting it off but I didn't want to burden them with something they can't change or have to cope with the worry of what going to happen esp with exams and stuff.
tc all catch up soonthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -

Morning all!
Seems ages since I was here, so have had a read back at what I have missed. So sorry to hear you are back in hospital JJ. Feisty, hope you are feeling better and that things finally go the way you want and deserve. Free, ouch to the IBS, hope everything else is not serious.
Got back from Egypt on Sunday night, in office yesterday and the paperwork was reproducing throughout the day  Had a wonderful time away. Was shocked at my luggage on way out, allowed 2 23kg bags, which I needed as I had so much to take out to them, and kids story books weigh a ton! Weight came in at 23.1kg & 22.4kg, so no charge, couldn't believe itComing back, thought it would be much lighter, but have ALOT of new bed linen, nothing like Egyptian cotton to sleep on.
Had a ball while away, kids are growing up so fast, they were so excited at my having to babysit the first night I was there, me less so as I was so tired, but there was no option. One of the outlaws died on Friday morning and as Muslim funerals are held so quickly, they missed it so needed to go on Friday night to see the family. Kids told me they didn't want to sleep, yeah right. They were gone in about 3 minutes!
Ate a lot, relaxed a lot and returned feeling refreshed. Also got told I was squashy, think that means I need to go on a diet:rotfl:
A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Mandco, so sorry about your Dad. My thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear about your dad Mandco - thinking of you all.
GTQ glad you had a lovely holiday - squashy sounds good lol.
Freespirit, I remember Our Tune with Simon Bates. Hearing that music takes me right back to the 1970s - it all seems to recent I really can't believe it was forty years ago.
Princess Kitty, glad the day out in London was good even if the service was slow
I've done something Christmassy at last! I bought parts of two pressies! I also emailed the family and told them we're doing a £10 limit on Christmas pressies this year for the adults. I put it nicely and in a fun way but wanted to manage expectations early lol.My DD was horrified that I haven't got going yet as she's nearly finished and everyone else was horrified that I could even think about Christmas in June - ha ha. :rotfl:
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Bought some Christmas stuff in the John Lewis sale (online) last night. Trying to justify to myself really, though don't know why. I bought three little Christmas trees in pots (table decorations that I can envisage on my console table in the hallway), 3 metal trees (to use on dining table on the day and as general display before and after the day and, crazy or what? I bought some little cutlery stockings (reduced to £5 for 2). My daughter paid quite a lot for hand made ones last year and I was going to make them but the price wasn't bad and I will have my hands full this autumn/winter with new babies and volunteering for Mencap. They will carefully be placed alongside the little colour changing trees I bought a couple of months back from JL. I really must stop now, I have more than enough decorations.0

MANDCO oh blimey dont, i am really having to start dethumperising my house now! Stairgates, table corner covers, etc etc i am so sorry about your dad, i hope the chemo is successful in treating him, i hope the kids havent taken it too badly, sometimes we dont give them enough credit for coping with not very nice things in life, i hope it doesnt affect the one taking exams, that is enough to deal with on its own x
