Good evening everyone,
Body, teeth, hair and nails have been scrubbed. Legs and armpits had been shaved, Hair has been straightened, cuticles on both feet and hands have had attention (i'm exhausted now). I have polish on my toes and will do my fingers when i finish on the computer.
I put comfy clothes on but at least they are clean.
Applying handcream before bed sounds genius i must remember to get some looked out and leave at my bedside.
I keep forgetting the perfume though and my eyebrows resemble hairy catterpillars i think that they are beyond my skills so will have to research a professional.
I have a few tubs of body butter, can i ask my fellow fabbers in training, exactly where am i supposed to apply it??????????

Hex - glad to hear that your Fibro is kept under control by Paleo. That's what I'm hoping for.
Henie-Jeebies - I have no plans for New Years Eve. I don't think it would be a good idea for me to force myself to go out and celebrate. A nice quiet evening for me, with a DVD or something on Netflix. I shall raise a glass to OH.
Tonight I re watched "Rush" - it's about the rivalry between Racing drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauder. OH was a keen racing fan and admired Niki very much. As a matter of fact I chose the theme tune as one of the pieces of music for OH's funeral because of the special meaning it held for OH.
Watching the film triggered lots of memories so I have also re watched the film montage of OH this evening, it was nice in a funny bittersweet way. I can at least look at photos of him now. For Christmas My sister gave me a framed photo of him which will look nice in my bedroom when it is finished.
Heebie has alluded to the mirror test ..........this is step 2 in our journey.......
Wel will look at this on January 2nd when we begin our journey in earnest.
But for now, it's time for a Baileys.
Gooodnight all. X0 -

Hi Tooties,
It depends on the body butter you're using but the butter I've used in the past is way too heavy to use all over so focus on any really dry areas - elbows, hands, toes, heels (but check the tub as some say not to use on feet!).0 -

Personally I wouldn't do the two together - I would allow 24 hours between treatments.0 -
Hi, can I join too please.
I'm 40 in July and feel as though I've let myself go. My DD is training as a hairdresser/beautician, and although my nails always look nice, and my hair when she does it, I feel as though I don't do anything myself.
We live on a farm, so a lot of manual work is involved, but even though we have a business and 3 children (18, 12 & 11) we still have a very good social life, and I always notice how glamorous the other women look, without doing anything about it myself.
I went out the other day in my new tartan wellies that I had for Christmas, and although my hubby, bless him, commented on how nice I looked (he actually used the word "sexy"), I know he wasn't be truthful, or is still wearing rose tinted glasses lol. I want to look nice, not so much for me, but for him, give him a wife to be proud to have on his arm as I am of himLoving life to the full, just need purse full too

Today was a bit of a turning point for me
I was getting ready for a family meal out and I tried on every scrap of clothing I had that could have been suitable and none of them made me feel good. I am truly tired of being plump so today is that last day that I moan about my weight while doing little about it!
I will post in a couple of days with sensible goalsTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

I'd definitely recommend having them waxed. Around here it costs £6-8 and I think it's worth every penny. They only need doing about every 6 weeks or so as once I've got the professional shape I can keep them tidy myself in between.rubiesr4eva wrote: »Hi, can I join too please.

Welcome ruby, A plan to be fab and forty is an excellent idea. I'd suggest you ask your DD if she can do shellac nails (or go and have them done) they'll stay looking fabulous despite the manual work. What is it about the glamorous women that appeals? What would you like to copy?Today was a bit of a turning point for meI was getting ready for a family meal out and I tried on every scrap of clothing I had that could have been suitable and none of them made me feel good. That was a turning point for me rummer. I'd got to the stage that even size 16 was tight and unflattering and I flatly refused to buy a size bigger. I'd kidded myself too long that I was hiding it. That's when I joined SW and from there I worked on other things alongside. Looking forward to the goals but make healthy eating a priority. I know exercise helps (and it helps the feel good factor too) but it's food that's the secret.
DH told me I looked good tonight. I think he was exaggerating a little as I know I look a bit pale but it's my tidy hair he's noticed plus the cashmere jumper that always makes me feel good. All compliments welcome.;)
The couple of clips I've got for sectioning my hair for blow drying are so old I can't remember where I got them. Where would I buy more? Any ideas?0 -

Absolutely agree - at one time I had mine waxed every 4 weeks as I am not good at keeping them in shape. I lapsed when I moved house because I couldn't find a salon I liked. I am going to get my brows done regularly this year if it means trying every salon in the area.
I went to my slimming world weigh-in yesterday and had put on one and a half pounds over Christmas - better than I expected, but it leaves me well below my target loss for 2014.
I now need to get back on track in January - I shall be meal-planning once I've finished reading the new plan.
To all who have suffered illness over Christmas, I hope you get back to full strength as soon as possible.0 -
Mamam, my nails always have shellac on them, done by DD, and she also waxes my eyebrows. I suppose by glamorous I mean that they always have make up immaculate, hair not out of place, and more than anything an "air" about them, they know they look good, confidence I suppose.Loving life to the full, just need purse full too
