So today was not a good day for me and I wanted to stay in my pyjamas. I have, however managed to have a bath, dry and straighten my hair, worn perfume and moisturised. So I guess I have still kept up a minimum level of fabbing.

Wish I had everyone else's motivation for keeping on top of things rather than it being a daily struggle. I'm trying to be more positive and not let things get me down as easily and that's one thing I want to work on during the next year. Hopefully at some point in the near future I will not feel worthless and will be more confident in myself.

    Happy new year everyone. Xx

First I want to wish everyone a very happy, healthy & FAB New Year.

Whether or not we actually reach our goals or find a different goal along the way as long a we try when we can that's all anyone can ask of us. LoLo if your energy levels are low just be kind to yourself - & do what you can & leave what you can't.

I've been thinking about my goals for 2015. I already go to the gym but that's for weight bearing exercise to increase bone density (leaching through hormone suppreant tablets) I've also been doing Yoga for about 20 years & these two will carry on.
I aim to get back on the 5:2 diet next week & lose the 1/2 stone that I've put on (mainly round my midriff!) Like SouthernGirl I'm better around the 10.5 stone as I'm 5'10''.
I'm going to plan a 'Beauty Regime' & stick it inside my bathroom cabinet 'cos I just forget to do things & I need a list ;)

Had my bath today, all parts moisturised & creamed, nails done & hair done. I thought I had a moisurising hair mask in the cupboard but couldn't find it so I'll put one on my shopping list.
I'm trying to aim to do a 'proper' facial for myself once a week & I might take up some Groupon offers to keep my hair in check.
Hmmm - seems like a tall order at the moment ;)

  • Happy New Year everyone!!!!

I hope you all had a good one.

I ended up cancelling on friends as was falling asleep at 7pm DH went out though. Will make up for it at lunch with friends today.

Yesterday I managed to sort the lotions and potions, hands creamed, put on powder eyeshdow mascara and perfume.

Tried some face cream in stash (trying to not spend on anything until stash used up) burnt my eyes, I think anything with spf in it seems to do this even when i avoid applying to my eyes.

In order to resolve I did the oil cleansing method with some baby oil I had. Oh my gosh, it was amazing am going to continue with this skin looked and felt amazing.

Today, is bath, colour roots, lotion and attempt to do hair.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Sleep has to be the best beauty treatment of all.:D and its free:T

Stand in front if a full length mirror and take a good long look. Be objective - what do you see.

    Head to toe.

Nice clean, shiny well styled hair...
    Glowing healthy skin
    Clean, well cared for clothes.
    Nicely manicured hands.
And not forgetting those feet and or shoes, nice clean shoes

    Or.........

    Well you can guess

Hair like rats tails, pale pasty skin, ragged nails, unflattering shapeless clothes, tatty worn out footwear.

In short - do you look more like a bag lady .........

Don't worry - help is at hand.

You can do this but it will take a bit of time and effort on your part.

You will get lots of help and advice, support and encouragement but the rest is up to you.

So make the committment, and resolve that from now on - no matter what else you do, you will start taking care of your appearance.

This has little to do with vanity but it is about pride and self respect.

Would you let your children run around looking tatty and neglected. Of course not, you love them and wouldn't dream of letting them wear dirty shapeless clothes, you would wash their hair for them, you would make sure they have baths and showers, if their skin was dry you moisturise it.

Your wouldn't let partner look a mess either, you would look, after his clothes and encourage him to have a hair cut and shave.

So don't do it to yourself. You deserve better. You deserve love and respect too.

In the words of the famous ad.

    YOU ARE WORTH IT.

You will notice that I haven't mentioned weight at all.

This is not a diet thread. There other excellent threads geared to supporting you lose weight.

This is so much more than a diet thread.......

It's a thread about how to be fab-u-lous, no matter what your size, shape or age. It's about being the best you canbe. It's about loving yourself and showing yourself some respect

It's about rediscovering that energetic, enthusiastic you that somehow got lost along the way. It's about regaining your joire de vie. It's about finding your passion agan.

    It's about YOU.;)

    Happy New Year Everyone

I hope everyone has a truly fabulous 2015.

I didn’t stay up to see the New Year in as I wanted an early night. There’s a cough and sore throat going round the staff at work and I can feel it lurking. I always think a good night’s sleep helps stave off things like that so wanted to be in bed by 10pm, especially as I got called into work for a few hours late afternoon/ early evening at short notice yesterday and I have a busy day today.

I’m not in work today till 11.30 so still in old clothes for sorting out chickens, housework etc but have had a bath and washed my hair. I filled a bowl with boiling hot water, added a few drops of tea tree oil and have been inhaling it to help keep the germs at bay. Once the water had cooled I was very MSE and dipped my feet in it to help ward off any fungal infections- which I am susceptible to unless I keep on top of it.

I’m babysitting straight from work till late so want to be organized. I’ve made up a healthy packed lunch (prawn salad with a banana and apple). DGD will come home with me for tea and we will probably have home-made carrot soup followed by raspberries and yoghurt.

I managed to find a pair of boots in the sale on my way to work on Tuesday – reduced from £39.99 to £19.99. They are black suede and very comfortable so I shall probably team them with one of my new knee length black and white dresses and black tights for work. I still haven’t perfected the art of using my new Babyliss Hair Styler yet but bought some clips to keep my hair out of the way from Superdrug yesterday so will try sectioning it off as I dry it shortly.

Must go and clean the chickens out now.

  • Good morning and Happy 2015 to everyone.

Hope everyone had a lovely evening. I stayed in and watched TV but I did paint my nails in a silvery sparkly colour which made me feel instantly more fab.

Also changed into a dress and high heels to watch TV. Needed to practice walking in heels as I hope to wear them more in 2015.

Hope everyone has a great day. Am really looking forward to going on the fabbing journey with everyone. :j
