    Happy New Year everyone :j

Didn't do anything special, kids managed to stay up for first time so we brought the new year in watching Top Gear :rotfl::rotfl:

No resolutions here other than to complete a happiness jar this year. Basically you have a jar (or whatever vessel you have to hand) and write down your moments of happiness (big AND small) over the year. I did the 100 Happy Days project last year and I really enjoyed it.

Never underestimate the restorative power of a nice hot shower. No hangover this morning but was feeling chilled and less than my best after a late night. Came out of the shower scrubbed, squeaky clean and feeling like a new woman :D

Lovely to see so many new posters and WW so nice to see you back. Congrats on the promotion.

Hugs and high fives all round. Sorry not replied individually, will do better when I have more time.

All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.

    Happy new year everyone.

I've decided my hands and nails are to be my focus this year. I don't want to/can't apply nail colour but I would like my nails to be a good shape and in good condition. So I'm off to look at some manicure tutorials. I'd like to say I'd use some of my Desire Map money to get someone to do it, but I know I'll never keep it up, better to make a do of it myself.

Alec - a tip I was given years ago. Apply rich hand cream at night before you got to bed so it has hours to work its magic & keep a small handcream & file in the car for when OH is driving (or anyone else) its amazing how much you can achieve in a 20 minute journey!

Happy new year all... Hope it's a year of health & happiness for all :)

We didn't stay up for bells as oh was working today & up early. I still have remains of sore throat bug which is verging on head cold but trying hard to keep it at bay.

Glad to hear everyone is starting small steps and thank you so much LL for your posts on posture and the mirror test. I have a bag for the charity shop & a bag for the clothes recycling bins you see at supermarkets. To help clear out. I got lots of nice new pj's at Christmas so even got that drawer cleared out so hopefully Wont look like a bag lady at night either.,.. :)

Tried to keep clothes shopping to minimum but did get some vouchers for Christmas so have taken advantage of sales to get a few bits & pieces.
Had a shower this morning and full body moisturise this morning again so that freebie one will do tomorrow then that's it done which also encourages you to do it /use it up I suppose.

Treated my self to the clarisonic before Christmas and I cannot believe the difference in my skin already. I absolutely love it!! I cleanse with this at night and manual cleanse in the morning. Cleansing throat & chest to to hopefully help with faint lines from over use of sunbeds in my younger years.
Back to work for me tomorrow, I have had some lovely lazy time of and relaxed and caught up with well needed sleep.

    Hope everyone is well...

    Keep fabbing :):)

    Hi Fabbers,

Put the hand cream on again last night, hands were so soft again this morning so i hope that i can maintain this.

This morning the hair was brushed, all my bits and pieces were washed and my teeth had a good scrub (i have the dentist on Monday and i am sure she will give me a telling off). Deoderant and perfume were applied.

As i was rubbing in some nivea on my face and neck i discovered that it may worth applying the perfume after the nivea.

    Regards

    Happy New Year All,

I would like to join the thread as I feel I have let myself go over the last 12 months. I have sorted through all of my lotions and potions and have been keeping to a night time and morning regime. This has only been the case for the last week however I am hoping to keep this up.

Tomorrow I plan to sort through all of my clothes and make up. I have also made a resolution to stop biting my nails which started due to stress this year. Hoping to make some positive changes in 2015 and it will be nice to have people to share the journey with.

Also planning on using my bike more and shedding a few pounds. We will see what happens in the coming months. :)
  • Not sure if I should be on this thread, while gnawing on some delicious galaxy choc...... but it does taste so yummy.

My goals for this year are

    1) to lose weight (I start on 3rd)
    2) to moisture more often (hopefully daily, but weekly would be a great improvement)
    3) to keep house work up-to-date
    4) to keep paper work up-to-date
    5) to go on some lovely walks around our local area
    6) to go bike riding when weather improves with hubby and boys
    7) aim to wear make-up
    8) aim to wear perfume
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

    Hi everyone,

I was meant to pop back a few days ago, but have been in bed with a stinking cold for the past few days. I still have it, but am over the worst of it.

I have the basics of fabbing, but I don't have the time to put it into practice, and that's my biggest issue. I work full time and have two young children (4 and 2) and I barely make it through the week as it is!!!

My focus for 2015 is loose a stone and to start enjoying my my nice stuff, as I just can't be bothered most of the time.

Here is what I've done over the past few years:

Wardrobe - I have gotten rid of most of my tatty and ill fitting clothes. I know what suits me and have the basics of a decent wardrobe. I now try and look after my clothes e.g. I don't wear my Uggs when it's raining, so they look new.

Hair and beauty - curly girl method for hair, skincare from the body shop. I prefer the non-make up look, so I like tinted moisturiser, nars blusher and a lip gloss.

Maintenance - I do a little bit every few days like pedicure one day, face mask the next, eyebrows threaded every few weeks.

During the working week, I look a state, as I drag myself into work from my long commute. Weekend are spent running around after the children and this is when I should make the effort. This is where I'm going to start. I got rid of a load of clothes I'd 'saved for best' because they were out of fashion and I'm determined not to do that again. I want to enjoy my nice stuff.

Nice to see everyone getting off to a good start.

LL I have a bad posture so will definitely try to improve upon this. I also did the mirror test and was appalled by the image staring back at me. As such I have resolved to go through my wardrobe and get rid of anything that doesn't make me feel good.

I did weigh myself today and was horrified with the number I was faced with. I have never been this heavy in my life and feel I have been somewhat in denial. I need to lose at least a stone but preferably one and half stone to get back to a weight I feel happy at. I did some exercise for the first time in months and have been careful about what I have eaten today.

    Evening all !
Even though we stayed in last night I still managed to stay up until almost 2am and wake up with a raging hangover. If nothing else its encouraged me to try to do my version of Dry January :-)

Not really done anything today apart from a 30 min walk with the dog and Fling and had lots of restorative cuddles from both of them.
But I did manage a long bath this morning, washed and blow dried hair and put some slap on and filed my nails. Just had another long soak - how extravagant, two baths in one day....

Tomorrow will be a better day - I plan to do some sort of exercise, weigh myself (not looking forward to that) so I know where I'm starting from and do a bit of fabbing in terms of dying hair, body scrubbing and a face mask.

Hopefully an early night and a bit of medicinal chocolate will put me right again....
