  • Morning fabbers. Happy 2015 to everyone. I am just back in the land of the living after a virus that's had me floored. Poor OH has it now.

Fab wise today I need to:
    Shower, wash hair, moisturise
    Cleanse, tone, moisturise
    Spray perfume.

If I am feeling up to it I want to have a short walk later and a visit to the local pool. I may have a short swim but given how I have been feeling I may just sit in the spa:).

Off to catch up on posts I missed.

    Hello,

Sounds like everyone is off to a great start for 2015.

Yesterday, despite the fact that we were going to be in the house all day, I styled my hair, put on mascara and wore a nice dress. My husband saw that I had made an effort so he did too and so we both looked very posh yesterday.

Started my new exercise regime this morning. Nothing too drastic as I have to be careful due to mobility problems, but at least it was a start.

However, last night I managed to cut my thumb very badly (down to the bone) and we spent ages in the bathroom trying to stop the bleeding. Luckily we have a very, good first aid kit...

...so my tip for 2015 is to check your first aid kits. I noticed that most people are sorting out make-up and face creams so whilst doing this sort out the first aid kit too. Replace anything out-of-date and stock up on missing items. Most things can be bought from supermakets so add things to your weekly shopping list.

I was planning on doing my nails and nail varnish today, but that will have to wait. As it is my last day off work for the Christmas holidays I am going to spend the day relaxing with the cat and reading and watching films.

    Good morning lovely ladies

Spider - great tip about the first aid kit.

Had a very lazy restful day yesterday, although I did make a start on the paperwork mountain and phone calls. I've also started a financial review. Need to stretch those pennies so will be switching bank accounts etc. I have also joined Topcashback and used it to do my first ever Boots online shop yesterday. I am finally getting a bit more techno savvy.:rotfl:

I have ordered myself some Imedeen, a marine based vitamin supplement, to see if I can rescue my skin from the ravages of time and stress. Hopefully they will also help rebalance my adrenal glands too.

That old saying "you are what you eat" is so true,so as well as improving my diet this year I will be looking at some supplementary vitamins and herbs to help me rebalance my system.

I have taken Imedeen in the past with good results, although this time as I am going for the one targeting more mature skin, they are quite a bit more expensive.

However by buying a six month supply, using a promo code and the Topcashback I saved quite a bit, plus I also earned some Advantage points, and because I paid by Sainsbobs credit card I will also have earned some nectar points.

I'm feeling quite chuffed because what could have been rather an expensive purchase has come in at a price I'm a lot more comfortable with.

I am getting quite savvy in my old age:rotfl:

    Have a great day.

Morning all, this year Im going to start and keep fabbing! Work today but wearing a nice sparkly jumper ( I do like my sparkles!), make up on and drum roll perfume!
Love reading this thread, so motivational!

    xx
  • Good morning fabbers.

Today I have done my weights exercises, showered and moisturised, styled my hair and put my perfume on.

This evening I will do a bulk hair removal - face and brows, legs and underarms. My legs and underarms don't seem to get very hairy nowadays, but I get random hairs on my face - an age thing.:p

Tomorrow afternoon/evening I want to do a facial and on Sunday a pedicure.

I'm also planning to increase my exercising a bit at a time.
  • Good morning, hope everyone is well.

Spider sorry to hear about you thumb sounds very nasty - good idea about checking first aid supplies.

So far this morning I've cleansed and moisturized, deodorant, perfume and a bit of blush and lip salve for first SM trip of the year.

Also am fast running out of foundation but have a Simple BB cream that I got back in the Summer but found it a bit too dark on its own for my skin, even though its called 'Universal shade'! But this morning I decided to mix a bit with some moisturizer and this seems to have done the trick. Am very happy as I really struggle finding the right shade of foundation for my skin (quite pale).

Yoghurt & fruit for breakfast, a green tea and two coffees.

Aim to do aerobics DVD this afternoon

Hope you all have a lovely day :)

    Morning all!
Just back from a 6k walk to the shops and back and lugged all of the shopping back with me. Quite hard work in the wind but feel much better for it now. So, that's some exercise done today with another dog walk to come later on this afternoon.

I have a lovely day of work in store, lots to do before I go back to school on Monday, big review reports to write for the head and tons of other stuff to do. Will take days to get it all done but I suppose its all part of the job.

I managed to spend just £13 in Aldi on shopping for the coming week, quite pleased with that as I'm on an economy drive following Christmas excesses. Lots of basics (F&V) and no naughties at all. Very saintly....
All of the leftover chocs, sweets and nuts are now in a carrier bag under the stairs - hidden away from myself.
I'm not going to do a diet as such just a general cut down and healthier food, less alcohol and more exercise should sort out the Xmas damage.

Fab wise - I'll dye my hair later, have a nice long bath with a sugar scrub and do a face mask. My hair needs a good sort out too but that may have to wait until the next pay day which seems ages away.....

Just a quickie to add that some of you have mentioned Paleo eating recently - I saw a Paleo recipe book in Aldi for £2.99 today, looked quite good if that's your thing. No good for a veggie like me but may be of some use to someone?
