A far better day today but still feeling tired so I'm having a break and a cup of tea.;)

Finished a chunk of paperwork and cleared out 3 kitchen drawers, quite a lot to the bin and the rest ready for CS.

Hi everyone, I agree that January seems to be particularly tedious this year, but the days are drawing out beautifully:D

Just about keeping up with the fabbing, had a couple of days needing warm casual clothes and comfy footwear, but looked tidy and co-ordinated and wore some makeup. I did have to go out without foundation, concealer etc. today, had appointment with Practice Sister for my regular injection and I wanted to ask her if she could prescribe something for my facial sore patches, the stuff that GP gave me is making it worse not better:(. No-one that I came into contact with turned to stone, so I guess that I didn't look too bad:rotfl:

I am trying hard to fab from the inside out too, my health problems do need intervention, but I am giving my body the opportunity to try and heal itself too by eating extra well, gosh it is an expensive hobby though - lots of lean protein, fruit, veg, salad, nuts and so on. New batch of yogurt just put on and lots of yummy dried fruit simmering in OJ to eat with it for breakfast or snacks.

Hang on in there everyone, January almost gone and even if we do get horrid weather, at least February is a nice short month.:D

Lesson learned, I carry small tubs of nuts and dried fruit for Paleo friendly snacks. Beef jerky is also suggested but I am not a fan.

I finally bought a glass nail file after suggestions on here previously. Very impressed. I also bought some new buffing blocks rather than messing about with varnish when my hands are bad - neat and shiny nails now.

    Hi ladies

Another here feeling not well - "rather rough" is the best I can describe it! I have mild flu symptoms so hoping it only lasts another couple of days.

I did go swimming yesterday but otherwise fabbing has been kept to a minimum and I'm trying to take it easy. WFH tomorrow so will get a lie in.

I need to go and defuzz because I'm seeing the physio tomorrow, then I think I'll curl up in bed. :)

I'm another who is really struggling at the moment - so tired that everything seems like a monumental effort - I'm ashamed to admit that it was nearly 12.00 before I got in the bath yesterday morning:eek:
This thread must be having some effect on me though because I dutifully moisturised body and face and put on make up and perfume afterwards! Plus all the talk of lovely nails had me digging out and applying some nail polish!
I'm slow to get going again this morning though - just takes ages to motivate myself.

Miserable rainy blowy day here & I'm not going out so moisturise & perfume will be it. I'm loving all your posts about how you are all making more of an effort although its made me realise how much time I spend at home at the moment. I'll be fabbing all the bedrooms & bathrooms today - oh what an exciting life I lead.
    Have a fab day everyone

  • Right there with you...

I have cleared smells out boxes and arranged so I use what I already had first. Also all boxes ready for recycling...
Cleaned out lots for shredding and going to clear out little room where I store everything for more shredding.... We do keep some amount of stuff don't we, I think things dated 2011 can go now... :)

Once cleaned up I can start some housework too, finally did the hand washing last night... You know the stuff you leave in the basket for forever before getting round it it. So ironing on the agenda too today.

Just a pottering day of lots of small but get left chores. Will launder & moisturise & perfume too tho...:) :)

Morning everyone! The weather's horrible, not looking forward to gong out in a bit :( With the wind and rain it hardly seems worth doing much with my hair and make up - I'll most likely end up looking like a drowned rat before I even make it to the bus stop!
Last night I painted my nails and nice purple colour which goes nicely with my purple handbag.
I'm really lacking motivation today, would quite like to go back to bed for the day. I start my creative writing course this afternoon so am a bit nervous, just feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all.

Going to try to relax for a bit and hope the weather calms down a bit!
  • Just discovered this thread and it is such a relief to know I'm not the only one who is tired and lacking in motivation. Been feeling down and just can't pin point why :(

I have Aspergers Syndrome and work from home a majority of the time. I struggle with putting any effort in as 'no one except OH going to see me' so it's joggers and wild hair on a daily basis. Makes me feel 'frumpy' and at 27 I feel dull, boring and sad.

Ironically, I write a beauty blog for fun and have lots of wonderful products just waiting to be used and enjoyed! I really want to start looking after myself more in the hope that it will lift my mood and I will feel less dreary.

Hopefully taking part in this thread can help me stay accountable for my cations and encourage me to invest time in myself. Starting with putting a bra on :rotfl:

    Morning Fabbers!!
We are half way through the week already, just two more to go until Fab Friday, keep it up :j
The wind is howling around outside and the rain has been and eased but I believe it is meant to be coming back throughout the day and we are due some very heavy snow anytime from this afternoon all through the weekend, also lots of very cold weather
Will re-stack plenty of logs in to the house after work and clean the log burner out in preparation. Food related we are OK as I always keep a bit of a stock cupboard so I won't be rushing out clearing the shelves out the stores like i'm sure many will be, we could last for 2 weeks with ease and a month being careful and eating very plain if not a touch longer...anyway :rotfl:

Fabbing wise I have done the usual cleanse, tone and moisturise of the face plus my skin is a little dry at the best of times so added some extra to my legs and arms. Basic day make-up, hair tied up and fringe clipped back (this is usual's for work) plus a spritz of perfume.
I have added a vest top under my work top as it gets quite cold in our office anyway, but also with the weather I thought extra layers would be welcome :)

I'm off to see my Grandma&Grandad then nipping to my auntie's after work, so there won't be much time for fabbing myself later other than the usual.

Have a nice day everyone
