Happy Friday!
Had a busy day today, out at 9 for an appointment, home for 1 and back out again ten minutes later. Went for lunch and a wander round the shops with my sister, got some pyjamas, a candle and a faux fur collar thingy. All on sale, and with birthday money so I don't feel too guilty! i did try on a couple of things that looked just OK, but I remembered this thread and put them back - if they're not perfect then I'm not buying! Got in at 5 and straight back out again, DH goes out on Fridays so we have a coffee date when he finishes work.
Just had some soup and toast for tea, but now that I've sat down the sore throat and headache I've been trying to ignore have hit me
I've got a busy day again tomorrow, so tonight I'm going to drink lots of green tea, have a bath and an early night to try and feel better. I haven't been eating enough fruit, so I bought some orange juice for some vitamin C. I know actual fruit is better, but my IBS doesn't tolerate fruit very well!
Hope everyone has a fab weekend! x0 -
Good evening fabbers,
I would get the vet to do my bloods but i suspect their needles might be a tad bigger.
Got all my fabbing done and i took my time over it.
As its friday i got dressed up a bit today, i kept my apron on most of the time.
I'm patiently waiting on the asda man then i plan to soak my feet.
regards:j0 -
Hi all,
Maman I hope you are feeling better soon, take care.
LL that great news about the charity, your parents are able to help others and it helps you and your family out greatly. Remember to take time for yourself, and relax.
Been to spin class today & supermarket today and relaxing bath & face mask then ended up having a small nap! Got to love a wee nap.. Hoping I'm still able to sleep tonight for work tomorrow!
Hoping everyone is well0 -

DD straightened my hair before work this morning and has booked me in to do my nails, told her they need filing down a lot as getting too long for my liking.
Made sure I put my mascara and lippy on today, feeling better about putting it on now as I no longer worry about what i'm not wearing
I used to wear my nails really long until manicurist asked if wanted them cut shorter and straight across the top for a change. It's a good look, especially with dark polish. Mine are a really dark plum colour at the moment and I love it. Makes the skin on my hands look better too, much paler.
Glad you've had a good day beluga.

Morning All,
I'm up bright and early as I have to be at work for 9.30 to give a talk. That's in addition to my normal evening from 5 and which will go on later than normal tonight as we won't finish till about 11.
I'm wearing my knee length black and white jersey dress with three quarter sleeves, teamed with a pearl necklace, black opaques and black knee high suede boots. I need some more necklaces as 3 have broken in the past few weeks.
I've been eating healthily all week and managed 4 exercise classes (Yoga, Pilates, Aerobics and Circuits) and restarted running (very gentle and only a couple of miles). I haven't lost any more weight yet but stayed the same so need to adjust things slightly.
I've decided to try changing one thing each week and keep a note in my household planner of anything I've read that will help me tweak my eating habits. After watching the Horizon programmes on diet on Catch Up yesterday I've decided one change for me would be to eat more slowly. I'm always the first to finish if we go out anywhere with others and know I eat fast. DH is a fast eater too so I am going to try to persuade him to slow down too.
My new Babyliss hair styler is great. Yesterday I left my hair to dry naturally until it was about 80% dry then used the styler. It took less than 5 minutes and not only looked good but stayed looking good all day. Today, all I've needed to do is run a comb through and the style is still there- a short bouncy bob which is just below chin length all round.
I've managed to break our habit of sharing a small bar of chocolate every evening at 9pm too so am pleased with how January is going.
Must dash as I want to call in at PO on my walk to work.

Morning fabbers, you all sound like you are doing really well.
I have been far too tired in the evenings when I get in from work and have been falling asleep when I should be fabbing. I managed to do some fabbing yesterday whilst the children were occupied by OH. I snuck upstairs and did a quick body brush, foot file and toenails. Then, when the children finally went to sleep, a quick face mask.0 -
My nails, considering I do manual work, just don't break, must be all the milk I drink (skimmed), at the moment they are clear shellac with sparkly glitter tips, very girly, however DD has booked me in for tomorrow morning and has said she is going to do them pastel pink and sparkly all over.
Really looking forward to tomorrow as after lunch me and DD are off to a bridal fayre, purely on a professional level, but am going to dress for the occasion and try and take note of how others dress, see if I can get any tips
Have a lovely weekend everyone, big hugs to those who need or want, and smile for everyone, please pass onLoving life to the full, just need purse full too

Good morning lovely ladies
Rubies thank you for the smile, I am returning one to you and shall definitely pass it on ......:D
Ita funny you should mention smiles. As I lay in bed this morning, sipping my coffee that my DS had bought me (isn't he fab), with Stray Cat curled upon my bed, I fellt serene and content.
After not being able to look at photos of my OH For such a long time I now have his pI icture on my nightstand. It was taken on our first date and it brings back such happy memories. so each day I wish him good morning and start the day with a smile.
Well I'm very happy this morning. I popped myself on the scales and am pleased to report that Ive lost 2lbs this week Bringing my total to 4.1/2
Slow but steady progress - more to the point, this new way of eating seems to really suit me. My tummy is happy and no carb cravings, fewer headaches.
I can truthfully say that I'm not missing sweet things, although I do allow myself just a little bit of good chocolate of an evening.
My OH loved Cadburys Creme Eggs, I've always found them sickeningly sweet. Actually I can't stand Cadburys chocolate now, they have definitely changed the recipe. Not only is far too sweet, there also seems to be a nasty underlying "twang" - a sort of chemical taste. Yuk...Aldi do really good proper Belgian chocolate and the price is unbelievable for such quality.
Today I shall be house Fabbing, cooking and just generally pottering about and being a domestic goddess.
Have a lovely weekend and smile at everyone you meet. Pass those smiles forward.0
