Ive read about project 333, but I just don't see it working for me as I like variety too much!!!!

I do try and make sure that the majority of my wardrobe can mix and match, so it gives me a wider variety of choice.

I could (and probably already do) Project 333 for work, but would struggle for non-work /casual / weekend etc.

Gosh, I am impressed you can stick to that. I can't imagine sticking to 33 items knowing it includes things like accessories, jewellery, footwear etc. Just clothes would have been scary enough - although at least it doesn't include underwear / sports kit.

Very frugal though and if you are sticking to that little I guess you can really buy lovely quality stuff.

I think I will stick to Kondo - only keep / buy if I really love it. (Must give my wardrobe another go)

I think I'd go into rebel mode and shop more if I told myself I should stick to 33 items - it's like telling myself I can't have chocolate - wind up hoovering up the stuff like I'll never see it again.

Be interesting to count up how many items I actually have in my wardrobe... Am sure if I add in jewellery and all accessories it runs into many hundreds.

    :o

I don't stick to it as rigidly as this, my just under 40 items consists of tops, cardies and jumpers and trousers / skirts / dresses. It's really easy. It's an amazing xoerimentat this stage so if I really wanted to wear something I would (just not straight away), but in fact I have stuck to it fort here months and only "cheated" once
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Been life fabbing this weekend by spending plenty of time with friends and family which has been wonderful. Also been making time to explore hobbies and to read a variety of books that have been on my wish list for a while.

Also been dressing well and making sure that I have been pampered and styled when in public :D

Now I need to spend the next couple of days focussing on a lot of house fabbing!
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

Ah, I might manage a less rigid version like that. I pretty much rotate through the same four jersey dresses at work - certainly get worn about 2 days out of 3 anyway, because they are that silky jersey that doesn't need ironing.

It's more out of work I really go for variety - sometimes jeans and tops, sometimes dresses. Rarely much in between, hardly own any skirts or trousers by comparison, though I would like to get some smart trousers for work, just finding it hard to get any nice ones in a colour I like (feels like it's all blacks and greys, no browns this year)
  • Had a nice facial this afternoon and am going to my yoga class tonight - teacher has said she can give me some different positions to do to avoid kneeling on the dodgy knee.

Ankle / foot improved by not doing much yesterday, though it didn't do much for my mood. I really don't like staying in even when the weather isn't great! Although it seems I needed the rest after a busy week - slept quite a bit compared to usual, especially given how little I did.

Made a good start on Christmas shopping in the last 24 hours - large Amazon order for family last night, got cards and paper in paperchase and did a big L'Occitane shop to cover some of my friends.

Was naughty in the village before my facial and bought quite a few "gifts" for me. Got a lovely pashmina in deep teal with multicoloured spots and some new decorations for my Christmas tree and some jewellery - gold plate smoky quartz ring and earrings and a nice looking but much cheaper copy of a Swarovski bracelet. I have a genuine one of those, so will be interesting to see how they both wear over time.

Isn't it strange indie that when you go out shopping for other people you find gifts for yourself!:D That's what happened to me the other day when I bought new shoes, was meant to be a shopping trip for DD's birthday. And my favourite woolly scarf I bought in John Lewis when I was meant to be Christmas shopping last year.

Good to hear that your knee is improving.:)

I'm so cross that my hairdresser had to cancel last week so now I'm having to nurse my hair along for another couple of weeks when it's really too long and shapeless.

I'm out for a nibbly party at my dance group tonight. I find they're the worse sort for wrecking my healthy eating, too many temptations. It's not a dress up event, just a full skirt and top but have done my best with my hair and will wear make up. I think the wild weather hasn't helped with the hair either but I shouldn't be complaining when you think what poor souls in Cumbria and some other places have had to put up with.:o

Two more events planned this week: one a lunch with friends at a country hotel where food is always excellent and then a dance on Saturday evening. I'm thinking I might wear my new, dark green blouse and a pencil skirt for lunch and have a silky, long pleated skirt suitable for Saturday.

Yes - it's like with shopping I end up going "one for you, one for me, one...." etc. I was quite pleased to have placed a large Amazon order last night without ordering anything for myself, but I definitely made up for it today.

Ho hum, will try to show more restraint the rest of the month. I need to head to Ashford outlet centre to go to the Radley shop to get a handbag for my aunt from me, my sister and my parents - we did this last year and my aunt was delighted. She'd never buy a bag as pricey as a Radley herself, but they are much more affordable at the outlet. My last purchase there was about £63 reduced from £160. I suspect I will manage to convince myself if I drive that far I deserve a treat myself... time till tell!

I also have my eye on a new dress for Christmas.... don't really need it, but this is super cute:

Ordered this one yesterday - for a gansters and molls themed new years eve party I am going to:

Crossing my fingers it fits, but can always return for a different style if not.
