    Hi everyone,

I'm working from home today, so I've been in my PJs all day, which has been nice.

I bought this lipstick, which I love. It looks different on everyone due to the PH levels in your lips, so its a great universal shade. I've been saving up my pennies and finally had enough to buy it. I would recommend this if any of you are looking for a nice lipstick.

My focus is now on getting some new underwear. Underwear isn't something I've really thought about over the last couple of years and tended to buy the multipacks from the supermarket. I've recently bought some nice knickers from M &S, which were a couple of pounds more, but the quality is so much better. So now, I'm going to restock over the next couple of months. I'm also going to buy new more bras as I desperately need some.

Sounds great to wear PJs all day. I got rid of my last pair to CS as legs were too short and I've been fancying some in White Stuff or Jack Wills.

It's the long trousers I like, I'd probably go for plain tops.

Let me know what sort of staying power that lipstick has chanie. I love my Rimmel one but it doesn't last very long.

I'd thoroughly recommend going to an independent or good department store and getting measured for a bra. I did that when I got to my target weight and bought some lovely bras that fit and flatter. Now I know my proper size, I'm often lucky in TKMaxx.

I went into city centre today but no time for any proper shopping/browsing. I did buy an olive colour cardi very cheap in Primark. It doesn't sound good but I have a skirt it'll match perfectly.

I second getting fitted for a bra - M&S and Debenhams can be good (depends on individual fitter) if you haven't got a Bravissimo (or similar) near you. I find M&S bras vary a lot, especially between ranges (eg: Autograph seems to size differently to Limited Collection etc) - I have bras ranging from 38DD through to 40F! :D

SW this morning - where I wore exactly what I always do (M&S joggers/ lounge pants and either a tshirt or vest top) so that weight isn't influenced. Maintained - which isn't a bad result! :D Came home, showered and fluffily dried hair ready to go out for SW group lunch (oh, the irony...!) - wore newest jeans, a sheer top over a vest with a long necklace and boots the same colour as the scarf I wore with my jacket :) Did make up, including lippy (a rarity for me) Was a lovely couple of hours with some of the group :) Oh - also had a festive hair band on, too - borrowed from DD :D

maman the lipstick is very moisturizing and leaves a stain on the lips, so it's long lasting. Lipstick queen is one if those brands, which tries to do one thing really well. There's a couple of other products I'm interested in, so watch this space.

I have been measured for new bras recently, but need to buy some more. Maybe I'll get a couple in the sales. Plus, some new Pjs as I can notice the difference between my nicer ones and the cheaper ones.

Sainsburys do fabulous underwear, pretty and great quality so worth a look there when you have been measured.

I love PJs and have a selection for lazy house days :D In fact I have just purchased our festive ones for the Christmas eve hamper.

  • Hi all
indie thanks for the thoughts about colours :)
    Your hiking weekend sounds great!
We did 11 miles of the Green Belt Way round Oxford on Saturday and that was enough for me! Covered in mud, chucked everything in the wash when I got home and will need to re-proof my boots before we go out again :rotfl: It was fun though :D
Rummer about boots - I find leather are the best for keeping feet dry, I've had a few pairs of fabric boots and even with Goretex they just don't cut the mustard when you're in wet conditions all day, even wet grass can give you soggy feet eventually :(
As above, even leather ones need re-proofing regularly I find. Maybe I'm just hard on shoes though!
I'm making a skirt at the moment to cheer me up. Work has been horrid for the last 18 months and looks like it'll be the same into next year so I need to do something therapeutic in the evenings to stop me churning it all over in my mind and making myself ill with stress.
So a bit of sewing, some small attempts at fabbing, and lots of fresh air are called for. I've even been too down to go to yoga which is mad as I love it - I'm rubbish at it, too stiff, but I do zone out in the class so I should try harder to get out of the door and into a class once a week.
Sorry that turned into an essay!

Hi dapster I love yoga as well I just need to get into the habit of doing it more often. Would it be easier for you if you had a DVD you could do at night to destress as well as going to a class. I will admit the only yoga I have done is from a DVD as there's no classes around here, I'm lucky tho a friend of mine is a sports therapist and she helps to correct any mistakes I'm making. That's what I did today yoga with my friend and then a treatment from her, painful at the time but I felt like I was walking on air afterwards.
Normal fabbing going on here and I'm getting my hair done tomorrow so looking forward to hair looking great for a couple of days anyway :)
konMarie and fabbing all the way

I might treat myself to the lipstick chanie. Sounds like a good idea and I'm going to buy new PJs. I agree it's maybe worth the expense of good ones, the fabric is softer and as I'm tall I hate it when the cheap ones skimp on fabric.

I do see the irony greent;). I've never been but my SW group sometimes goes to either Harvester or a carvery as then people can have a fairly SW friendly meal if they want. Where did you go?

I enjoy sewing and knitting too dapster but haven't made any clothes for years. These days it's either soft furnishings and I enjoyed knitting a couple of Aran cushion covers too. What sort of skirt are you making?

We went to a Harvester, so there was the possibility of having SW friendly food - but I think only 2 people chose friendly options - the class leader and someone who only has 2lb to target :)

  • Hi everyone - I used to post here a good few months ago, but took a break whilst I was pregnant and the size of a house!!

My twin boys are now 8 weeks old and I'd like to get back to feeling better about myself, I have about 2 stone left to lose. Not sure how easy this will be with Christmas almost upon us too…..!

If anyone can recommend a gentle exercise DVD that would be great, my Jillian Michaels Shred DVD was great but a bit too tough whilst my post c section tummy is recovering

I look forward to keeping up with the thread again, and chatting to you all!
Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j

Congratulations Ruby :j what wonderful news and it is lovely to see you back. I like the pilates weight loss for dummies DVD that was recommended by someone on here for general at home exercising. However I would check with you doctor before undertaking any exercise. Maybe longer and hillier walks with the pram would be a gentle start? I walked for miles and miles when my son was little.
