Hi ruby congrats, lucky you double trouble
, I will totally agree with rummer get the double buggy out and walk as much as you can. I can tell you from experience a double buggy gives you a huge work out from arms, core and legs oh and lifting two car seats in and out is great as well especially when the babes get heavier.
Well I've fallen of the stopping smoking wagon again. I'm going to wait till DH is working away again and give it another go but on the plus side I've lost a little bit more weight and an inch of my stomach so am delighted with that.
I got my hair done today and love it, it's a fair bit shorter than I usually have it but I think it suits me and the first thing my oldest DD said when she saw it was wow you look younger, so in the last 6 months I have gone from shoulder length nearly black hair to almost white blonde crop....I think it must be my mid life crisis. I have also made my skin care and make up routine habit for the first time in my life so thank you ladies I'm definitely making the rest of my life the best of my life

Inspired by you lot fabbing up and doing you hair and nails and so on, I've ..... de-fuzzed my legs :rotfl:
Might not sound like much, but it's winter and I'm not planning to go out anywhere fancy. That's usually a recipe for looking slightly like a gorilla. Actually making the effort for no reason has left me feeling a bit less "winter blues-y" if you know what I mean.

:T on your lovely news ruby. I think you're amazing to be back into fabbing so soon. I remember feeling so frumpy when my DD was born that I envied how glamorous my mother looked. I can only echo the advice about getting out there and walking. I lived at the top of a hill and I don't think I've ever been fitter. And well done for not putting it off until after Christmas.
I was having a discussion earlier about Christmas and weightloss. It doesn't have to be a month of excesses. Just enjoy the occasions (which are generally only single meals) and eat as healthy as possible in between. I'm trying to have low carb lunches at the moment like soups and omelettes.Angry bear don't knock it de fuzzing is still one of those jobs that makes my heart sink:rotfl: I honestly think it's another one of those things where men get off lightly, they only have to deal with their faces
Definitely don't knock it angrybear. It's a big achievement and something I'd put off until yesterday probably a first since I went on holiday in October:o.
I had my eyebrows done this morning and I bought this

to wear to a party tomorrow. It's quite well finished for the price.
Infuriatingly my hairdresser has cancelled my appointment for tomorrow. I've rebooked for nearer Christmas but would have liked a professional blow dry but don't want to trust anyone else.
Just checked LL's cruise itinerary and they're making their way back towards Madeira then on to Portugal from Caribbean. I do hope she's had a great time.:)0 -
Thank you all for the encouragement :T I've reserved the pilates DVD at the library, hopefully will be able to try that soon. I do try to walk a lot but the buggy + paraphernalia for two little boys is very heavy, which also hurts my stomach….. but if I don't get out there I'll never get fitter, it's catch 22!
Currently looking for a nice loose sparkly top to wear for the work Xmas party next week - I'm only popping in for an hour or so, couldn't really say no as the party's being held literally 5 minutes' drive from me. I'm still in maternity jeans as the thought of 'proper' trousers on my stomach makes me wince….. plus they can accommodate lots of mince pies
Maman, how irritating about your hair appointment - I'm going to have to move mine as it now coincides with the boys having their first jabs - was looking forward to getting my tangly hair sorted out as well. Really hope it can be done before Christmas.
I do hope LL is having a lovely time on her hols! Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -

Hi, it is great to see you back here, congratulations on your beautiful boys:D
8 weeks is quite early in your healing process, it can take several months for muscles to knit back together properly, make sure that you don't do too much too soon, it would be awful to have any set backs. I can imagine the buggy and contents must weigh a lot.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Hi folks
I managed to find a new coat in the sales today, it's sort of maroon tweedy fabric, knee length, quite straight - with black sleeves & collar.
Happy with that, I can wear it with most things and look smart. It's a bit trendy with the black sleeves so may only last a couple of winters but for half price it would have been rude to leave it
I too did some de-fuzzing just for me - it's so easy to ignore it when you're always in trousers isn't it, but I prefer to keep things in check!
Congratulations to Ruby, enjoy your babies

PS I've given in, I'm going to go back to having my grey hair dyed brown - I look so OLD in shop mirrors0 -
Hi fabbers -I'm getting into the Xmas spirit as we put up our tree, which is a tacky-fest of colour and tinsel, just the way we like it.
ruby congratulations and welcome.
lolly sorry to hear you've fallen off the no smoking wagon, but good news about your weight loss. Your new hair cut sounds amazing.
angrybear I always feel better when I've de-fizzled, even if nobody cab see it.I've started waxing my legs, which means putting up with regrowth, but it's winter, so not too bad
maman I love the jumpsuit.
dapster well done on your sale shopping
Things are otherwise fine in my world. I had a casual day, but managed to do perfume and make up. I've been using my homemade face cleanser foe about two weeks and have seen an improvement in my skin. I've been drinking more water and I've cut down on using my facial oil from twice a day, to once. I had a break out a few weeks ago and I'm not sure whether it was due to a new skincare product I'm using or something else. I'm too scared to try the product again, but dint want to throw it away, as its a full bottle!!!0 -
I'm very excited (it's sad I know:rotfl:) but I'm first in my walking challenge by 2000 steps. It's the first time all week I've been first and I'm really hoping I win
but it doesn't finish till midnight so fingers crossed everyone's having an early night

lolly fingers crossed for your challenge.
I'm having a fabbing maintenance morning - I've put henna on my hair which I will wash off later, toes painted and I'm just about to make another batch of my homemade cleansed. Not bad going for someone with two young children.0
