I fabbed today and the world did not fab with me :(
Two weeks before Christmas and we had to put two new tyres on my car today and OHs car needed an MOT, the car passed but got half way home and the timing belt went....it now needs a new engine
And I never got my chrissy decorations up either :(
But tomorrow is another day and I'm sure it will be so much better than today :rotfl:
    Happy fabbing guys

Yes, I like the dresses too indie. The flapper dress is rally glamorous (hope you wear the headband too) and the tea dress looks very versatile.

I seem very slow about Christmas this year, like I'm going through the motions of attending things etc. so I know it's happening but not really done any practical preparation. My house is far from Christmas ready lollyfin. We've not written cards or anything. I'm ashamed:o.

ETA: post crossed, oh you poor thing just when everything was going well. Hope for a better day tomorrow.

Went to a meeting this morning. It's so mild it was hard to know what to wear. Decided on a pencil skirt with opaques, fine wool shell top and jacket. I can't believe it's December, maybe that's why I'm finding it hard to believe Christmas is so near.

    Morning fabbers,

Xmas is pretty much sorted in the chanie household, other than a few small bits.

Fabbing is going okay other than the weightloss.

I'm feeling a bit tired today, but am otherwise fine, but I thought I'd pop in to say hello.

After posting yesterday, I'm making a small start. DH is going to break the back of card writing and I'm going to wrap a few gifts for friends we're seeing tomorrow.

Is it Christmas parties stopping your weightloss chanie?

Done all my basic fabbing this morning including creaming all over including feet. I'm delighted I'm still keeping this up despite it being winter.

Gloriously sunny here at the moment and 12 degrees:).
  • Hi folks
Still reading and trying to fab although not managing to post much. Work is horrible at the moment and my 'get up and go' is hiding under its duvet somewhere.
Still walking every Saturday, 10 -15 miles of mud (at the moment) which is my attempt to stay sane until work gets sorted out.
Also saw DS on Sunday, was practicing Xmas lunch on him :rotfl:
Managed to really overcook the turkey steaks but he didn't seem to mind! It always cheers me up seeing him :D

I'm glad you're managing to keep going dapster. Nothing like a bit of fresh air and exercise to distress and blow cobwebs away.

I remember one year, the cooker packed up a few weeks before Christmas and I had to get a new one. DH was getting fed up of chicken roasts as I kept practising!

Majority of cards are written and posted. I've packed the gifts so organised for tomorrow when we're out to lunch. I sat down this afternoon and redid the waistband of the skirt I plan to wear on Saturday evening. I'd forgotten how restful sewing can be. Next Christmas task is to make sure there's enough space free in the freezer to get a turkey in this week and make/freeze my own pigs in blankets. I know some people swear by fresh turkeys but I find with all the trimmings I can't tell the difference.

maman it's a mixture of being disorganised, busy and lack of willpower that's means I'm not loosing weight. My own fault.
  • Hi Fabbers

I haven't posted since August but I have been lurking and reading all your updates with interest. I'm really happy you went on your cruise LL, I have enjoyed reading about it. You really deserve some good happenings and I hope this continues into 2016.

It's been a bit mixed here; I've relocated and been very unwell. On the plus side I haven't touched diet coke and I'm really pleased with that change. I've stuck to moisturising after every shower and am eating more healthily. I've lost half a stone, which is progress. I haven't been exercising or dressing nicely so I need to tackle those next...

I know I wouldn't have made the progress I have without reading and writing on this thread, so thanks everyone.

Sofar Sorry to hear you've been unwell. By the sounds of it, you have made some good progress. Changing the way we do things, does take time and its best to deal with one thing at a time!!!

Thanks. It's frustrating but you're right sustainable changes don't happen quickly. It's going in the right direction though and we're all works in progress..
