Dd265 I think you will look great.. And what a lovely night to get dressed up for- hope you both have a lovely time.

LL glad the funeral went well and glad dad is being cared for and you are slowly able to make sense of things and work out the best approach for him.

Maman I wear my converse and vans with little socks but again to stop them getting smelly. I have the dainty red canvas & dainty black leather- they took a little softening but I love them now.

Rummer well done you on taking such blatant rudeness as motivation- you are certainly a better one than me. I know the feeling on the bikinis - I havent even tried anything else from the holiday box yet!!

Been working loads lately ( 6 or 7 days a week) although don't seems to have anymore time off or any benefits for it lol! So when I'm not working I don't feel rested or caught up on sleep. Life just seems to pass by these days. Mum goes in for full knee replacement next weekend so between shifts I'll need to drive 3 hour trip to visit a couple of days to see how things are. Hopefully should be well she has been waiting so long.

Not much else- I have had my programme at gym made so need to keep going where possible as it makes me feel so much better afterwards. Also been body scrubbing and moisturising body regularly too. Nearly time to get winter clothes sorted through & ironed & put away. See what goes to charity shop or what makes it into the drawers for next year. Summer stuff from last year needs to make an appearance soon too. Dark scarves away and nice light bright ones out. It's a nice clear out itself and signifys it's definitely the better weather ahead.

    Hope everyone is well ,

Hi everyone, just a quick post from me.

The children are asleep and OH is out for the evening, so I took the opportunity for a quick 'power fab'. Whilst running a bath, I repainted my toe nails and did a body brush. Then I washed my hair, did a hair mask and face mask. I'm now relaxing in the couch with some foot oil socks. Not bad for 45 minutes. Bliss.

DD265 I love that dress and I have those boots but in purple.

Sweetcheeks well done for going to the gym :j

LL hope all is well with your Dad and you manage to balance caring for him and nurturing yourself.

I got fabbed up today in some nice summery clothes - floral maxi skirt and nice top - for a little trip around Bakewell with DH. Then back home and out for a bike ride giving my padded cycling knickers their first trip out :)

Ordered a new Karen Millen jacket of Ebay and it came today and is lovely. The colour is aqua and I think it will look good dressed up with black trousers and nice shoes, but also jeans and sandals. Can't wait to give it a go.

Oh no, DD will want a purple pair too!!!
Seriously, nothing wrong with getting the boots as they're tried and tested and you know you'll wear them DD. I do like the dress and I'm sure you'll have a great time. It gives me a lot of pleasure actually thinking about what I'm going to wear rather than just grabbing anything.

Amazing what you can achieve in such a short time chanie. Good for you!:T

Thanks for the further Converse info. sweetcheeks. I was thinking little socks for the warmer weather too and perhaps red or maybe navy as I have lots of black shoes. I'm going into the city centre on Thursday for my chiropody appointment so will look around then.

I wore my black pencil skirt with a cream lacy top and heels last night. Thank goodness there's a bit of stretch in the skirt as I was far too greedy.;) Back to healthy eating today.

Something else I've read about but not tried LL is that McDonalds do a chicken and bacon salad and a fruit pot that would make a healthy snack on the go and it looks Paleo friendly. Anything to avoid buying a sandwich or a pasty when you're feeling hungry when you're out.

Morning :) OH and I had a lovely night out last night. We were meant to pop for a drink locally however we ended up going to a very nice bar in town and we had such a nice time. What I did notice though was how under groomed I was compared to the other ladies there :o In fairness I had dressed for a different style of venue but I could have looked a bit more polished in general.

Tonight is going to be pamper night. I am going to colour my hair, pedicure, manicure and overall scrub and polish. We talked on here ages ago about gradual self tanners and I was reluctant to use chemicals every day however I am tempted to give them a go for a while and wondered if there were any recommendations? I have heard to Dove one is quite good, however I am open to suggestions.

I think I am going to book in to get my eyebrows done as I had a makeover on them a few moths ago and I was pleased with them but I have let them slip again and they are less than tidy.

    Hello lovely ladies

DD65 - love the dress and the boots are fab, you'll get lots of wear, so consider them an investment.:rotfl:

Thank you so much for the meal on the go ideas, MAman, it's when you are out and about that any diet or healthy eating programe becomes a bit more problematical.

Well I must be on about day 5 of the PAleo. I have stuck to it religiously apart from dairy and I'm feeling much better. Still a lot of fibro pain and exhaustion but I think that is down to stress as much as anything.

I have been resting and pottering and actually feel quite a bit better today. I don't know if its my imagination but those size 18 jeans are feeling looser already. :D

I cant wait to drop down to a 16 because I will have a much greater choice of clothes already in my wardrobe. I had a quick look in the chazza shops yesterday but didn't buy anything.

I have decided not to buy any more size 18s, not even If they are a bargain.:rotfl: I will just make do with what I have. I reckon if I continue as well as ive started and if I start exercising a bit more then I could drop a size in a month. That's my target.

I have today ordered a new bedside chest of drawers. I still can't find a storage solution for a wasted alcove space. I'll keep looking. I have a vintage Dressmakers dummy which I might dress and put in the space for now. At the moment I just keep dumping stuff there and it looks horrible.

Rummer I'm sure you looked just fine......I often think it's better to err on the slightly casual side rather than look "overdone" or that you are trying too hard ....

By all means make the effort to look and feel good but always do it for you, not for others. And definitely don't measure yourself against others women. . Some times we are our own worst enemy for that.

The aim of Fabbing is for us to be happy in our own skin, to feel confident and free from feeling self conscious or embarassed about appearance.

Right rest time over. Time to prep the veg for a nice healthy dinner. Braisedd steak in red wine tonight.....

Indeed! They did a dark brown pair at one point but I haven't been able to track those down. :rotfl:

Is anybody familiar with Elizabeth Arden products? When we had our makeup done in February the lady filled in a form that said what products she used. There's one which I couldn't find:

    Foundation - "Light 02"

I found the other items on a site which is a lot cheaper than EA or Boots etc so was hoping to do them all that way, but I don't know which foundation that is.

Does everybody else find that the improved weather makes it easier to fab? I am definitely eating better and finding that I have more energy.

I have a bar-B-Q coming up in 8 weeks time (equivalent to a wedding!). Do you have a list for me to get started on so that I feel fab by then?

The sky is the limit even Botox for the frown between my eyebrows.

I will of course be doing the usual mani, pedi, facial, defuzz and haircut. As well as exercising and trying to loose a few pounds.

Is there anything else apart from perfume?
