Give me a kick up the backside please ladies

Feeling very frumpy today. Have been shattered and add in totally lacking in motivation to do any fabbing means that I have cooled off the weight training due to physio but not maintained the cardio, and have been stuffing my face with rubbish foods.

I know that this approach to "making myself feel better" actually makes me feel a whole lot worse, so why do I still do it? :(

Probably for the same reason I ate chocolate mini eggs at bedtime on Monday night then couldn't get to sleep. :( We're our own worst enemies at times.

:)I'm having breakfast in bed and catching up with all of your fabbing.

My earache has almost gone, but I still can't hear much out of one ear.

I get my bike this week so thank for the info in the cycling knickers - I must get some though there will probably be a 'does my bum look big in this' moment :rotfl:

Got my hair cut on Tuesday and went shopping for new clothes with birthday money but couldn't find anything I liked. Sold 10 more things on fleabay so need to evaluate what actually suits me now.

    Have a fab Fursday.
    :)

    Good morning fabbers :D

Today I have no plans and the house to myself, so I'm going to sort out my clothes and make up, with some loud music playing :)
There's plenty of fabbing to be done, both on me and the house, so I should be able to keep myself busy.
I've had a busy week so far, I started CBT on Tuesday and my emotions have been all over the place since! Yesterday I had my first training session with a mental health charity to be a group co-ordinator. That was very interesting and exciting, but it's all a bit overwhelming at the moment. A day at home to get things in order is much needed I think. I might even sit out int he sunshine for a bit if the weather stays nice.

Have a lovely day everyone x

    Good morning everyone

    Isn't this weather just FAB U LOUS.:D

Isn't it great to see so much positivity on here, it must be all this lovely sunshine.

My flu and UTI have finally cleared up and I feel good to be aLive. The washing machine is on, ive got a piece of furniture,to paint, and am going to potter in the garden.

    Life is good.....

Like many of you ive been sorting out my wardrobe, I'm ditching everything that I don't like and starting anew. Naughty I know, but from now on Im only going to wear things that flatter me and make me feel good

I'm coming out of,the shadows and into the light. I have had enough of sickness and death. It's time to get living again.

    a new life needs a new wardrobe.:rotfl:

Yes, LL, weather is truly excellent. I'm loving it.

I don't think it's bad to start from scratch on the wardrobe. It doesn't feel very mse I know but when I consider that lots of the stuff leaving has either come from CS and being regifted or I've had my moneysworth then I feel better. A few things are just plain mistakes (generally a bit of retail therapy when feeling frumpy) but I won't be making those same mistakes again.;) Speaking from experience, I'd recommend you just buy a minimum until you get to the weight you want to be.

What sort of thing are you looking for rowan?

I think a pottering day is a great idea beluga. Sometimes doing mundane things (like cleaning the oven:D) can free your mind up to think through things. Do keep us up to speed on how things are going.

I've had the WM going this morning, changed bedding and towels and half out on the line already. I'm still feeling headachey. I thinks it's dehydration, eyes are puffy etc. but it'll pass. I haven't ventured into summery clothes yet just wearing jeans and a white long sleeved top BUT I have been out without a coat!;)

    Had a change of plan.......

Sister is now sick so I ordered her to bed and took over dads shopping. Whilst I was there I took him by the scruff of the neck and dragged him off to a new co op store that has just opened near to,his apartment block.

He has had to stop driving and has bought himself a mobility scooter. It will take him just 5 minutes on his scooter.

I gave him a pep talk which went along the lines of "now that you are no longer tied to visiting mum several times a day you have nothing to do and all day to do it in. It's time to reclaim your independence and you can make a start with doing your own shopping"........Ooh aren't I a bossy boots.:rotfl:

I took him round the store and showed him where to find things so hopefully he can take it from there. I noticed the staff watching him and nodding and smiling to him, so I think they will soon get to know him and help out if he looks a bit lost.

I think it's a step forward to get him back in the land of the living.

Then I called in to my sisters and took mums jewellery so we could make some decisions. We've basically split it between my sister, my niece and myself, and we will bequeath a couple of pieces to our "pretend sister" and the young woman who was originally mums cleaner but who became much more than that. It was an emotional moment.

We also need to sort out mums China etc. but that can wait a bit.

We have already earmarked a Couple pieces of Crown Derby for some Belgian family members, especially mums sister, my aunt.

My aunt began collecting Crown Derby when she first started visiting England and she started quite a craze for it in the little village in Belguim where she lived. Any Belgian visitors we had always wanted to visit the Crown Derby factory and they always bought a few pieces.

Mum built up quite a collection over the years and it will be nice to be able to give most of it a good home, instead of having to sell it or give it to charity shops.

Its all slotting into place at last. I have my outfit for the funeral and had my hair cut so hopefully I can do mum proud. ;)

I'm sure you will LL. That was a good plan for your dad, and indeed for you & your sister to distribute your mums jewellery to give fond memories.

For the last couple of years I have really liked White stuff clothes and still like some on them, but others now don't do much for me. Sometimes the shape makes me look pregnant. I also used to buy lots of black and brighter colours which again I don't think suit me now. I wear trousers most of the time, though what actually looks best on me are 'fit and flair' dresses and skirts. I'm liking Phase Eight at the mo, and have bought a nice blue top from the cs, a dress from Ebay and have two tops from Ebay on the way.

    Question for you all
What is your style for clothes? Is it what you have always liked or has it changed?

Rowan Moon I used to wear trousers all the time but now wear shift dresses for work & dresses or tunic & leggings / skinnies at weekends & evenings. My shape has settled and I find that shift dresses enhance that ;)
