It's a lovely day here and I'm in the process of getting fabbed up.

Hopefully your massage will do you some good LL, the aches and pains are probably not only from the coughing but the general tension too.

That job with the pots badly needs doing here too beluga but DH (family gardener) is far too busy at the moment. He's got himself involved in tourism in the city and he's loving every moment. He's a volunteer but it is very time consuming. Tonight they have the launch party for their new group so I have to look good. I'll post the link to their new website just for those interested to have a look, I'm not trying to sell anything.;)

I'm thinking tonight of wearing my new velvet jacket with black trousers (slim, ankle length ones) and heels. I bought a dusky pink top last week from Jigsaw so may wear that underneath. And will be doing generous make up. My face desperately needs some sun, I look so pale and pasty it's unbelievable!

Hope all works out well rowan. My DH and I almost never argue about anything so any bad feeling between us always makes me feel really down.

Just back from Physio - she was lovely and gentle and I feel so much better now. She has ordered me to,go back to,bed so just having a spot of lunch and I will do exactly that.

The funeral is on 13th April, exactly 3 weeks from today so I have booked another 2 massages in before then to help me - roughly 10 days apart so that should keep me loose and supple and help with the aches and pains. You are right Maman it is down to tension - she said my neck and shoulders were just a mass of knots.

Well Operation Mother of the Groom starts today, very gently to begin with.

Some of the changes that I intend to implement have been on the back burner for a while but the wedding is just the impetus I need to help focus and get my act together.

There are some health issues that need attention and I have put them off long enough - in some instances, they are several years overdue.

    So health issues first.......

    1. teeth - I have been putting this off for years. I nearly began a course of treatment before my husband became ill, but it got pushed to the wayside. I shall book an appointment and see what they can do for me and, more importantly how much it is going to cost.

    2. Varicose veins and thread veins on my legs. I hate them, they are so ugly. This is the year.....

These two items alone will mean no fancy holidays this year, but I don't mind. I think they will be a worthwhile investment. It's just the pain I don't fancy.....

    3. Pelvic floor muscles and loss of bladder control. I have had several Tenna Lady moments whilst I've had this cough. I really want to avoid the surgical route for a bladder repair so I'm going to buy some of those pelvic floor exerciser thingies and see if I can strengthen the muscles.

    4. Fibro - I'm going to book an appt with the Fibro clinic and see if we can get this under control. I know it will be a combination of diet, massage and exercise but I just need a bit of extra guidance on this one.

I'm not going to be able to get started on these just yet until after the funeral but I can at least start booking appointments for consultations.

In the meantime I have weighed myself :eek: so that's 4 stones to come off for starters.......

I did the mirror test  my skin is terrible, my hair is a disaster. I look, and more importantly feel, absolutely awful.

So I'm starting today with some multi-vitamins and extra Vitamin C.

I have also bought some Imedeen, a six month supply. This is a marine based vitamin complex for skin, hair and nails. It's not cheap but I think my system is just so depleted that it needs a significant boost. I bought them a couple of months ago but never got round to starting the course, they have just sat in the cupboard.

I shall book a hair appt for next week or the week after. There's loads more that I,need to,address but that will do to begin with. I have been keeping up the general day to day Fabbing but I need to start digging down now and get down to the nitty gritty.:rotfl:

i have just over 14 months. It should be doable.

I still have the issue of my lopsided face, but I really don't want any more surgery. I will lose the weight first before I make a final decision because that may make up my mind for me.

In the meantime I'm going to try some CACI Treatments. They can be used to target facial contours so perhaps that might be sufficient to rebalance my face. So again, I shall book a trial session and see how we go.

Years ago I,used to have Caci treatments. I found them excellent, again not cheap but I am fairly thrifty with my beauty and clothing budget as a rule so I feel that I can justify the spend. I don't do designer handbags and I don't have to feed an expensive shoe habit, I dont pay out for expensive gym membership so why not?.

I may join a gym later in the year but for now I'm going to exercise as cheaply as possible, preferably for free.

Anyway that's enough to being going on with for now.

Today i have given myself a basic manicure. Now I'm sleepy so I'm off back to bed, just like the Physio ordered. ;)

Your outfit sounds lovely, Maman. I love velvet. My sisters ex went to Southampton university - we visited it regularly. Great place.

Maman, your outfit sounds lovely, very sophisticated. I love Jigsaw clothes, and dusky pink is very flattering.

Thanks Maman and LL your kind words about mine and hubbies fallout yesterday. We hardly ever fall out, but at the moment we are on different wavelengths. He's really pushed at work so just wants to veg out when he is at home. I don't have enough work at the moment so feel a bit bored and am raring to go at the weekend. At least we have talked it over and I'm looking forward to a nice evening with him tonight.

Rowan - Glad you have had a little chat and got it sorted.

OH and I rarely had a proper fall out, usually just the occasional silly squabble over nothing.

Even then, mid squabble, He used to make me howl with laughter. He used to say "I forgive you" when it was he who was in the wrong. If he had really upset me he would be very contrite, and a bunch of flowers would be his way of saying sorry. He would storm out of the house, get in the car slamming doors, roar down the street reappearing some time later with a bunch of flowers.....

Often he would be bring me flowers for no reason. He would just wink and say they were an apology in advance....could he have some brownie points - he was such a funny man. Sometimes we would be squabbling about something stupid and we would both just stop mid flow and simultaneously burst out laughing....I would be helpless and crying with laughter.

I had a lovely long sleep this afternoon, must have been that nice relaxing massage, feel much better now.

LL I HOPE you feel better. Your story about your husband made me smile, he sounds like a wonderful man.

Today, I had some work meetings on the other side of town, so I used the opportunity for some fabbing in between appointments. I popped into a department store and had a spritz of some perfume. Then I tried a red lipstick - I normally wear subtle colours on my lips but recently have wanted to be a bit more daring, so I thought I'd test it out. I rather liked it, although I can't remember what colour it was!!!

LL i hope you feel better soon. Like Chanie, I smiled at what you said about your husband, he sounds like he was a lovely man.

Chanie well done for fabbing on your lunch break.

Im off to a friends tomorrow evening for a girly pampering time. She has booked a beauty therapist to come to her house and do treatments for our group of 5 friends. It is her Christmas present to us. Im going to have my nails done and am sleeping over so there may be a glass of wine or two with my name on.

Oh poor you! It's probably just reaction but if you don't feel better after a night's sleep I'd check it out with the GP if I were you. Really important to take care of yourself.:A

What a great idea. I find that if I go to beauty counters midweek when the shops are quiet they can be very helpful. They don't push you to buy but what I always do if I want a replacement product is get them to show me something else as well, especially how to apply it. Benefit is one of my favourites.

Last week I stopped at the Bare Minerals counter. Not sure about it as I thought it looked a bit powdery on but they gave me a small sample to try at home so will be doing that. What I don't like is anything that settles into my wrinkles!:rotfl:

I'm on the look out for a tinted moisturiser and a new blusher/bronzer. My favourites from Benefit have been discontinued.:( Any ideas?

What a lovely idea, I wish one of my friends suggested that I'd be there like a shot!! Enjoy your sleepover and don't stay up too late giggling!:D

I got fabbed up for a meeting today. I wore the Hush pencil skirt with a purple shell top and black jacket. Meeting was very successful and I'm sure looking good helped me feel confident!
