so glad you've had a good sleep & are feeling better LL. Its lovely of you to share your Mum's things with people who were important in her life. Glad your Dad is OK too.
I did laugh at your comment about retirement. When I retired people asked me what I would do as I would be bored. WHAT! I havn't got time to be bored - I have a life outside of my job thank you!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Good morning all
Well another tsunami hit during the night, chest pains, sweats and shivers, I have a hacking cough, and a blinding headache. My limbs ache and I feel exhausted.
I'm not worried, I know it's "only" grief and stress. I can ride it out.
Everyone talks about the emotional side of grief, and it's effect on mental well being, but I had never heard about the physical effects.
Hey ho, I'll rest up a bit today. I need to give the kitchen a good clean so i will set to and see how I go. If I can't finish it, then there's always mañana.
I'm afraid there's not much fabbing going on, I'm managing to bathe and wash my hair and that's about it. at least I'm clean and smell ok.:rotfl:
Normal service will be resumed shortly.......0 -
Hello Fabbers!
Sorry I haven't logged in since early in the year. The good thing since then is that I have lost 7lbs to take me to 10 stone down from 13 stone of a couple of years ago. I go up and down but maintained a downward trend. Quite happy now to keep it at that and will be cycling soon as the weather improves and leave the car parked up.
I am hoping to sort out my teeth/jaw this year. I went for a consultation and have received a fixed price of £4k!!! It is actually an amazing price for the benefits that it will bring hopefully, no bruxism, no snoring, no more broken teeth etc. I cant start till I have molars crowned so have found an NHS dentist eventually and have an appointment next week. I have to look at where the money will come from but I can pay it interest free monthly over a period of 2 years. Still... son is about to go to university (or not)...
Apart from that my hair needs doing. I found a new hairdresser who suggested a darker lowlight in my hair to cover grey and it has been 3 months since it was last done! Definitely needs doing now but usually it would show after 5 weeks so am happy to go back to him.
It is great that the milder weather is on its way. Sorry to hear of the difficult times being had recently. Spring and Hope go hand in hand :-)
Best wishes with all the fabbing!0 -
Hi DeeDee - well done on reaching a target weight you are happy with.
I also need a teeth overhaul.
I have been formulating my plan for "operation mother of the groom"
It starts tomorrow, so I will talk about it then.
I need you all to bear witness and keep me on the straight and narrow. :rotfl:0 -

I look forward to it!!
I had my first ever appointment with a dental hygienist on Friday. I've no idea why I've never been before, wish I'd gone years ago. It was similar to a scale and polish but much more thorough and effective plus she's given me advice on how to look after my teeth until next time.0 -

Hugs and good wishes to everyone that's having a hard time x
The weather's been lovely today, so I've been doing a bit of gardening - just emptying last year's tubs and baskets ready to replant, filling the border with fresh compost and cutting the grass. I've sorted my seeds out as I can't afford to spend much on the garden this year, but I've got plenty of seeds from various friends / freebies, so I'll see what i can grow
I'm struggling with my weight atm, but hopeully getting out in the fresh air will help to motivate me. I'm sore from all the bending today, so I'll have a nice bath before bed and get ready for another busy week.0 -
Just been catching up on all your posts and sending healing energy to all who need it today.
I had a lovely day Saturday at a friends baby naming ceremony. Along with 4 other people I was asked to be involved in the ceremony, and we all had to wear purple. Got fabbed before I went (facial and hair pack, make up on) and wore a nice purple maxi dress. It was a very special day.
Sunday not so great, had an argument with my man and we hardly ever fall out. Feel a bit out if sorts this morning.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Good morning all.
I think I'm ok, had mega chest pains last night, couldn't stop shaking, was wrapped in blankets and throws, heating full belt and I was still freezing. Probably shock and delayed reaction. Feel a lot better this morning but my chest is very sore and between my shoulder blades aches like billy-o. My ribs hurt from all the coughing, but fortunately the cough seems to be easing off now.
What a state im in......:rotfl:
I'm still going to Physio, fortunately I have the more gentle masseur today. I'll tell her she is going to have go in with just a very light touch today. I would cancel but I really think a gentle massage would be good, help to loosen up my knotted muscles.
Need to start work on the master plan today. Will get back to,you later on that......
Have a great day
Rowan - sorry to hear about your squabble with your man. Hope you get to kiss and make up:rotfl: the naming ceremony sounds lovely.0 -
LL I hope your massage helps you feel a bit better today. You have a lot on your plate right now but it's good to also have something lovely to look forward to.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000
