I "recycle" gifts that I recieve from loved ones that I would never use- I.e. I received some m&s chocolates from work and I rewrapped them (with free wrapping paper) and gave them to a family friend for christmas....
3 cups of tea = 2 tea bagsMy Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.
48.78% towards 2015 target.
105.3% towards 2014 target. :j0 -
Three things I do on principle to save money
1) I have never bought a costa coffee
2) I have never paid to withdraw from a cash machine
3) I have never used a car wash
In addition like another contributor I have always changed my own oil, filters and plugs. I made up my own ply ramps about 30 years ago and they are still going strong.
I buy in bulk the everyday things- 800 tea bags or biscuits when they are reduced.
The money I save goes on things I enjoy doing in life, helping my children, good food, cigars and wine-The savings make the taste even sweeter! The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.0 -

Same here. We have free coffee and tea provided at work. Also Costa on site. I'm one of the few that has the free coffee not £2 Costa. 2 a day and that's £20 per week. £80 a month on one item yet people claim they are unable to save.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Can you enlighten us which ones you use please? The only daily clicks I was aware of were for charity sites like Saving the Rainforest, where sponsors donate a small amount to the charity for every click made.

I won't post a referral link.

Oh so many!
Only flush when it's brown (or very dark yellow!)
If you run the tap to get cold or hot water, run it in to a four pint milk bottle then use that to either water plants or flush the toilet.
Shop in the whoopsies section and fill your freezer.
Stock up on non perishable BOGOFs.
Haggle haggle haggle - we've got down to £18/mth for unlimited broadband, anytime landline calls and four mobile phone SIMs with inclusive calls, texts and 200mb data.
Tesco vouchers - never spend on shopping, always double, triple or quadruple up. We use them for RAC full cover every year, meals out, and last year bought an iPad on the double up.
Buy electric hair trimmers - I've been doing hubby and 2x DS hair for over 7 years now, saved a fortune. Still can't persuade hubby to trim mine though! But he does help me to do my home hair colouring.
Learn to cook from scratch - pizza, curry, Thai, Chinese, American BBQ - all at a fraction of the takeaway or pre prepared price.
And the best advice of all - read MSE every week for more tips!!
Love reading all the tips here - hadn't thought of the shower/bucket one, so that's on my list now too!
Happy New Year money savers, my frugal friends x0
