There's a technique with toilet paper known as the 'rope pull' where you stand facing away from the roll, thread it between your legs and then pull in one constant steady motion (a bit like using dental floss). Its much more paper efficient although takes some practice.Left is never right but I always am.0

I refuse to pay for parking. This often results in a long walk and on one occasion, a 4 mile run to and from the airport.0

and this week, it occurred to me, having paid £49.99 for a DVD in HMV, and then realised i had £25 in Love2Shop vouchers, to get the credit applied to my current account rather than back to Amex:o0 -
The starters and desserts in the work canteen are cheap. Mains are not. I often take my own sandwich and then have the soup and sometimes pudding. Gets me a good three course meal for around £2. Last time I even had the cheek to improve my sandwich with the free mayo sachets...0

I tell children that the ice cream van plays its awful tune to signify that there is no more ice cream left.0

Good one! That reminded me of when I went on holiday by myself to South West USA for about 3 weeks. Was leaving from Heathrow. Google Maps' Street View turned out very handy. I found a place a couple of miles outside the airport to park the car which didn't have yellow lines or residents parking. The place chosen was adjacent to a bus stop and I could tell from Street View that the closest house didn't have a window facing where I was parking so there was no "walk of shame" to the bus stop.
Parked car, removed luggage, walked across the road, got on bus (for about £1 IIRC) and was in the terminal in minutes.0 -
Instead of buying "Small Dog" dental chews I buy the only-slightly-more-expensive "Large Dog" version and cut them in half. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
