Morning all. Glad to hear that everyone had a good Christmas Day. Ours was lovely as I kept dosed up!

I'm on my own this morning, joys of having family who work in retail so will be like Bossy as put the beds back to rights, probably put some washing on and a quick hoover through.

Its raining here, though snow is forecast, so not sure if I'll get out with the dogs this morning. The family are descending on us at 3pm today and will do a dog walk before a nice hot buffet tea, and watching a film together.

Have a great Boxing Day everyone. No boxing mind.....

I'm currently the only one up - tired, but couldn't go back to sleep, so got up at eight. DS2 is working 12-5 today, but it is the last time this holiday. Boxing Day lunch now Dinner instead! DD and I may wander around town this afternoon perhaps, not particularly bothered.

House now looks like a explosion in a present factory, but my bedroom is beautifully empty! My three gorgeous offspring have thoroughly spoilt me. Possibly best bit was them paying Monopoly (the Canterbury version) all yesterday evening without a single fight breaking out.

Morning all! Been up since about 8 and am trying to tidy up. It'll be a long job......

Marco - sorry to hear your DH didn't make it home for Christmas. Hopefully he'll be back with you asap.

DS has gone out, DD1 is heading off soon and DD2 is still out. I might even get to watch the football whilst I start the inevitable ironing.

The laundry pile is horrendous, but I remain committed to clearing the pile/mountain by New year.

Hi all - I am absolutely full of cold - again. Dont feel desperately poorly but something is not right with me so I am trying to rest. In fact I am still in my jim jams.

I have just hung some washing out, its dry but cloudy here, doesnt sound like we will get snow. I may put another load in to try and keep on top of things.

The house is reasonably tidy, except for our bedroom which is a bombsite. Will deal with that tomorrow.

Glad most of you had a good Christmas and Narco I am so sorry your DH did not make it home.

We had a nice time, kittens had a ball and were hard work (like have toddlers/babies again).

Thank you for my secret santa gifts, lovely perserve labels and notepad/post it notes.

Today is all about pottering and tidying with a lot of tea and chocolate. No visitors today, DH family coming tomorrow.

I noticed whilst in the bath that the underside of the basin is very grubby so that will be dealt with after lunch.

Kittens are having a power nap after a couple of hours of 'Grandmother's footsteps' with the bigger cats which they seem to enjoy.

Safe journey vibes to anybody who needs to travel later in the predicted bad weather.

Mrs Dog and I are home from an excellent time the chalet and the chaps are in the pub watching their teams play each other. It'll end in tears.


I'm going to strip the turkey and make myself a turkey and mayo sandwich, which is what cooking the monster is for as far as I am concerned. Then I'll tidy up and put things away, but this is about priorities.

(((Hugs)) Narco, sorry your OH didn't make it home yesterday, but Christmas continues until 2nd February, so plenty of time yet.

I rang the ambulance to take my friend to hospital on the evening of 24th. She is on a drip and NBM Off to see her now.

I have spent the morning baking for the family party at DS's tomorrow - trust we can all get to Surrey safely.
